WORTHY PART 3 In the very depths of the underworld, Thor must challenge Hela for the life of Sif. But will Mjolnir be enough to save Thor's love? And will Thor finally prove himself worthy?
Loved how this ended however I did find Hela to be on the weaker side and wished she was a bit more brutal. I'm hoping that the villains in the rest of the Marvel universe are as ruthless as the movies
Hm, this was indeed a very disappointing end to the whole series. I must admit, I had expected there to be a real fight between Thor and Hela. And I had expected there to be... well... something more than what happened. But I guess no one can say anything much as he is nothing but a kid as of now. Perhaps, I should forget it. Maybe there will be more action in some other comic now!
Thor confronts Hela with the life of Sif in the balance. Will even the power of Mjolnir be able to help the young God of Thunder?
This was definitely my favorite arc of this short series. It felt truly mythological and heroic. Even though Thor disobeys his father’s wishes, he does so for the very best of reasons - his love for Sif. I would like to have seen maybe one more issue where Thor gets to speak with Odin about his adventure and Odin honestly gives his blessing to Thor’s use of Mjolnir. I think we missed out on a great father and son moment there.
Again, Tocchini has several splash pages that are really gorgeous in this issue. The opening page of Thor confronting Hela is so powerful and majestic - I just wanted to whole issue to be exactly like that. And quite a bit of it is! This issue was definitely a highlight of Tocchini’s art for me. I would be remiss if I didn’t also mention the gorgeous cover by Jo Chen on this issue. The covers on the latter part of the run have been gorgeous and as inspired as the Adi Granov covers from the early issues. Just wonderful!
In general, this series got better as it went along. The middle arc that focused on love enchantments was my least favorite, but it was a stepping stone to get to this arc. I see how it all fits and approve how it played out.
I enjoyed the series and anyone who is a fan of the God of Thunder should give it a try.
"You would sacrifice yourself so... For the life of another?" "Yes, Sifs life means more to me than my own. Let me the one to feel your fatal touch." "Never have I heard such offer." "Then never have you known love."
That was sweet, that's a genuine love tbf. Wish Hela was more of a tough fight, also I REALLY WISH WE COULD SEE HIM GET SCOLDED BY ODIN 😂😭😭😭

Thor battles Hela to save Sif and is injured. Sif wants to die alongside Thor but Thor is willing to sacrifice himself to save her. Hela cannot kill him as his sacrifice will have the opposite effect on Odin that she is wanting and lets him live.
