I won a copy of Joan Johnston's book, Hawk's Way Grooms. There are actually two complete books in one, Hawk's Way: The Virgin Groom and Hawk's Way: The Substitute Groom. So I suppose I was double blessed. This book is a great read, very well written, with good stories, awesome characters and no cliff hangers. Hawk's Way Grooms was my first read of Joan Johnston's but won't be my last.
this is two in one "The Virgin Groom" a story about Mac Macready-a football injury and longtime recuperating to walk again...they told him he would not...He said he would. it is a story you don't want to miss. #2 is "The substitute Groom", this one is about two boys and a girl growing up together and the best of friends, Colt and Huck are best of friends and let Jenny tag right along with them...over time Huck becomes special friend to Jenny and though Colt has feelings for her too-he will not stand in Huck's way. this is a story you want to see the ending of,thanks Joan for a couple of "good stories".
It was OK - a light read, nothing too heavy. Some of the events in both stories were a little tough to swallow. Had they been more realistic, I probably would have enjoyed them more.
