¿Almas gemelas? Esta historia de amor debe ser un chiste!
Freak show de J Richards
Mí humilde opinión:
Un parque mágico con todo tipo de criaturas que no existen en el mundo humano. Un lugar donde por 48 hs puedes disfrutar de una experiencia fuera de lo normal. Solo puedes llegar a este parque por otra persona, no se conoce la dirección exacta.
Así es como Anna lleva a Serenity y otras dos amigas a este secreto y mágico lugar llamado Freak Show dónde puedes caminar por el lado salvaje y tener intensas experiencias.
Serenity duda todo el tiempo de este lugar, siente los peligros pero decide de todas formas entrar a ver el show.
Chaos, un lobo blanco, ha pasado mucho tiempo esperando su alma gemela. La encontró muchas veces en el tiempo y otras la perdió. Ahora ella está cerca y solo tiene que esperar a que lo encuentre, como hizo en otras vidas...
Lo único que puedo decir positivo de este libro es que la portada es preciosa, apenas la vi y el argumento, no pude resistir y tenía que leer de qué iba todo.
Empezó interesante, este lugar misterioso con atracciones sobrenaturales, tan crudo, salvaje y extraño... Estaba de acuerdo con la protagonista en eso de que no era bueno entrar pero con la curiosidad de qué sucedería allí dentro, por qué tanta emoción...
Pero en el momento en que voy conociendo más de lo que sucede allí y a la protagonista ya me dieron ganas de abandonar el libro!
Las atracciones del parque eran poco interesantes para mí, un domador de unicornios que era vampiro? Unos chicos con un cuerpo increíble y cabeza de animales haciendo trucos por los aires? Honestamente, nada original.
Después Serenity se volvió insoportable y luego como que estaba excitada por todo...
O sea, la protagonista era una chica seria y me parecía sensata hasta que empieza a hacer cosas de zorra!
No estoy en contra de lo erótico en los libros pero se suponía que era el alma gemela de Chaos! No voy a poner qué hace, claro después de reconocerlo, pero "eso" me pareció repugnante cuando es perseguida por el hermano de Chaos.
Ni tampoco entendí por qué Chaos actuaba en un show de striper, linda forma de esperar a su alma gemela por cierto.
No podía entender o creer todo esto y juntarlo con lo de las almas gemelas.
Aún más luego de que Chaos cuenta la historia de su manada y cómo se enamoró de Serenity en otra vida. Era tan hermosa la historia que se vio arruinada por todo lo demás y cómo actuaban los protagonistas!
Como no abandono las lecturas tuve que ir hasta la última hoja decepcionada ya con la pareja y todo lo demás para leer un final abrupto.
Si el autor buscaba hacer algo fuera de lo común y hacerle justicia al nombre de esta novela sin dudas lo consiguió.
No fue una lectura para mí, lo averigüe tarde y me tuve que obligar a terminarlo.
Puedo leer erótico, no me disgusta, hay muchas autoras del género que me encantan, pero debe haber lealtad y fidelidad entre los protagonistas.
Freak show fue una lectura diferente, ligera al leer pero demasiado extremista para mí gusto. Sobretodo no logré que me gustaran los protagonistas.

Freak Show by J. Richards is the first paranormal romance for this author.
This story is a refreshing read and totally original from not only J. Richards but from any or the authors in that genre. The story takes place in deep in the wood and is an amusement park of sorts for humans and “creepy crawly things that go bump in the night.” There isn’t any information to go off of other than word of mouth of people/ other-races.
The main character Serenity Creed is on a trip to this exciting park where they can mingle with other races. Serenity is on the trip with Anne, Becca, and Kelly her friends. They make it to the open area within the forest where there are several lines of cars; no people and an ominous fog bank, but no Freak Show Park.
Gathering all of her courage Serenity moves forward and goes through the fog bank and is surprised to see the sun shining over this wonderful place. The first thing they must do is get through the front gate where they are all asked to take a pill and where a wrist band with human on it. Anne has been her before and helps coax the girls forward. On their way to their room they have an encounter in the elevator with Pandora who Serenity is instantly drawn to and starts having erotic visions of an unknown man. When Pandora has reached her floor and simply states “He’ll be so happy to have you back” leaving Serenity confused and lost.
The adventure continues as they take in the sites of the bizarre animals in the zoo (Griffins and Unicorn) and drink never ending beverages. There are several dangers in this park and they are cautious as they move through. As they are making their way through the park a wolf howl grabs Serenity’s attention and follows the howl to Coyote Mountain, an attraction at the park. This particular attraction is highly in demand for women due to the gorgeous men who dance on stage.
As the show begins the atmosphere changes. There are no longer 6 men on stage they have transformed into coyotes and they have picked a women from the audience to participate in the show. By the end of the song the poor women is stripped and carried off stage. Next up is a tall gorgeous man dressed in a suite. Serenity is quickly drawn to him knowing he is her other half. Her dream man pulls her on stage and she calls his name, Chaos.
The story takes off quickly from here and Serenity’s destiny is clear the moment Chaos has taken her back stage and explains their story. As it turns out they have loved each other for several lifetimes and Serenity is always taken from him leaving him heart broken. Just as they are getting to know each other Serenity is taken by a rival pack.
This story has all the ingredients, love, loss, excitement, fantasy, reunion and thrill all wrapped into one. I have read several paranormal romance novels but this one is unique and refreshing. I highly recommend this book and can only hope J. Richards continues to write in this genre.

Standalone book by this author
Four friends travel to a mystical freak show inhabited by paranormal beings of all variety’s. Serenity is our heroin, Anne her best friend, who has visited the freak show before.. the two other girls are pretty much filler friends.
Taking in the sights and spectacles they learn that the freak show is amazing and awe inspiring but it’s dangerous too. After bumping into a woman called pandora twice, she finds herself with the largest case of dejavu only to find out that she is actually a reincarnation of herself through time and is soulmates to the leader of a wolfshifter. Not only does she know him but his brother ( the not so big bad ) knows she’s in the freak show realm and is after her... he has killed her many past reincarnations and in his bid to be able to shift back into his Wolf.
At the last minute we find out that Anne is his soul mate and all is forgiven...( stabbing- forgiven, brutal drowning- wiped clean ) we won’t mention that serenity also have a blowy so a random and chaos didn’t find out about that little nugget ( oooppsie!!)
The premise of this book was great and the book itself was a good read... I just wish the resolution wasn’t wrapped up so quickly, because it felt a bit rushed and could have done with a few more chapters. I didn’t buy in to the whole instant forgiveness.

This story begins with Serenity going to a very unusual and secret amusement park with three of her friends.
She knows it will be different but she has no idea just how different it will be. When she walks through the fog and sees everything before her, she can't wait. And when a chance encounter in an elevator gives her visions of a man she has to have, she can't wait to find him.
First let me say that this is an erotic paranormal romance so you have to know that going in...if you go in expecting all kinds of different things, you will love this story. It is a fantasy and a very well done one at that.
I liked Serenity instantly and was sucked into this story right away. I don't want to give away too much, all the ups and downs and twists and turns made is very enjoyable and I don't want to ruin it for anyone.
This is a quick read (or it was for me anyway) and once I started reading I didn't want to put it down. All the characters are great and the story was superb.

There is so much about this story that I loved! First you get hooked by the mystery of where Serenity and her friends are headed. A mysterious place where you can only get to if you're with someone who has already been to it. Anne has been there before and wants nothing more than to share the experience with her best friend Serenity and two of their other girlfriends. The journey is long and when they arrive they mystery just deepens.
Once inside it's like a theme park you could only imagine. Beings of all different types traverse the grounds--weres, shifters, beings of orange and green colored skins, and even vampires. The girls get their own suite to share and a closet full of clothes to don, so they can live it up for the next 48 hours.
When Serenity meets a woman named Pandora, all sorts of things start to shift for her. She begins having visions that are more like memories than future happenings. She's drawn to this woman but has no clue why. As Pandora tells her to look for the man who has been waiting for you, she becomes even more confused. As the girls make their way to a male review, she gets drawn to someone as if she were being pulled by a super magnet. Once they lock eyes, things are never going to be the same....
Loved this story! I was enthralled by the descriptions of the circus, the buildings, the grounds, as well as the people. If you have ever dreamed about magical beings, this is the place where you would find them. So much mystery and passion in this story so you won't be disappointed!!

Sensual, stimulating, sexy, and oh so hot!! This book was nothing like I expected, and I am sooooo glad, as it was much MORE. Serenity has decided to go to the Freak Show with Anne, who has been there before, and two of their other friends. Upon arriving, Chaos immediately knows she is there, but he must wait for her to find him. Their love has been destroyed so many times before. Along the way, the girls meet and see other interesting things, including unicorns and Pandora. So much happens so quickly that is dizzying in the best way. With my excitement, I fear typing spoilers, but suffice it to say if you are an erotic paranormal romance fan, you MUST grab this. I'm so glad I did!

This was an original idea in an overly formulaic genre. But it felt to rushed, this could have easily been the next twilight (with grown up content) if the author just slowed down and gave me more. I wanted more of the freak show, I wanted more sexy times. I wanted more interactions with the creatures and this whole new and exciting world.
I read the whole book in one afternoon because the writing was well done and a stimulating plot. But the climax of the book fell flat, I wanted more drama, I wanted it to last. I wanted a real fight. I wanted to explore more of the other side. There are a million ideas running through my head about the possibilities of more content.
To the author: gimme more! It was too goo to end so soon!

Freak Show
Let me tell you I'm not a fan of the paranormal genre but being a book written by J. Richards there was no way I wasn't going to read it. I 've been hooked on her books from the first one I read. She is AMAZING ! I really enjoyed this book! Her creativity and imagination fascinated me. She never disappoints . I was very entertained and would recommend this book to everyone. It was a fun ride!

What starts off as the elven fantasy of every dreamer out there morphs into something dark and scary. Scorching hot love scenes and hot-as-sin "others" made this romance into a story of epic proportions!

Realmente disfrute mucho esta lectura. Fue divertida y refrescante. Un buen libro con el que quitarte una buena resaca literaria.
Las aventuras de Serenity y sus amigas son locuras geniales. La historia tiene todo, diversión, suspense, amor, romanticismo. Es realmente completa.
Lo único por lo que no le doy 5 estrellas es porque eso del perdón instantáneo no me gustó mucho. Creo que hubiera podido desarrollar el drama un poco más para engancharnos más fuerte.

We meet Serenity and her friends Anne, Becca, and Kelly who go to the Freak Show Park.
Lets just say the park is very unique with unicorns, griffins, shifters, vampires, etc. and anything goes. The girls meet Pandora in an elevator and Serenity is immediately attracted to her, as Pandora leaves the elevator she says something to Serenity that confuses her.
“He’ll be so happy to have you back”
Lets just say things get very interesting, especially when Serenity meets Chaos. I love all of the different things that the girls encountered, and the sex was hot. This was a very unique and original read for me, it was thrilling with mystery, fantasy, love and much more.
“You are my everything” “You are my always”
The book does not end in a cliffhanger, however I can’t help but wonder if we will see a continuation of this story, would love to see more from these characters.

wasn't sure what to expect from this book but i loved it , serenity & 3 of her friends are going to a fairground run by supernaturals & you can only find it by getting directions from a previous visitor , in serenitys case her friend anna .
serenity is both nervous & excited about the visit , in the lift on the way to their room a woman joins them in the lift , serenity feels instantly attracted to her , pandora tells her "he " is waiting for her .
he turns out to be chaos , an alpha wolf who has been serenitys soulmate through many past lives , he explains that he shifted to human the first time he touched serenity & only the spirit bond between the 2 of them let him shift back , the only cloud on the horizon is chaos brother who has spent a lifetime kidnapping & killing serenity as he tries to get back to his wolf form .
i couldn't put this book down til i'd finished it , unicorns , wolves , vampires & hot sex what do you need

This was my first book by J. Richards and I am already into my 2nd. Freak show takes you into a highly creative paranormal world.
I absolutely loved how descriptive J. Richards is when she describes the girls and the park even the smells. I felt as though I was right there experiencing it all. Serenity was anxious going in but upon meeting a friendly woman she became calmer and more open to the idea of the park. When she finds Chaos my jaw dropped when reading about the past that they had shared.
This was not a very long read but it was fulfilling. I wish there had been an epilogue, which is probably my only issue with the book. I would have loved to know what happened later.

This story was different from the authors normal writing style. When I got this book, I pictured it differently. But the story was a love story.

Omfg, I bloody love this concept.
So this is different from the books I've come to love from Mrs Richards but holy hell it was as hot as ever.
I love the way she can turn her hand to any style and it just fits. I'm not going to lie I was dubious as to how this book would go down not because I didn't have Faith but because I was worried I just wouldn't love it as much as her previous works but boy I was soooooo wrong.
And I feel like an absolute dude for holding off reading this book for so long :( guess I won't be making that mistake again. Lessons learned ;)

I love the way she can turn her hand to any style and it just fits. I'm not going to lie I was dubious as to how this book would go down not because I didn't have Faith but because I was worried I just wouldn't love it as much as her previous works but boy I was soooooo wrong.
And I feel like an absolute dude for holding off reading this book for so long :( guess I won't be making that mistake again. Lessons learned ;)

Absolutely phenomenal
This amazing book was phenomenal and so unique, I loved it so much. I have never read a book like it before which made it so enjoyable. J Richards is an amazing writer, and I have read everything she has written which says a lot about an Author. I encourage you to read it you won't be disappointed.

Es algo así como historia de varias reencarnaciones por parte de la heroina. En algunas la heroina lo reconoce al instante, en otras no. Pero mucho amor eterno, único, que traspasa cualquier tiempo, blablabla pero fidelidad poca, por lo visto. Eso sí, la h mal follada todo lo que quieran, claro.
