The Person and Work of the Holy Spirit

Rate this book
Can anyone go far in the Christian life without giving time and thought to the third Person of the Godhead? Obviously not, for the Holy Spirit takes the things of Christ and shows them to us, who makes the practical application of Bible knowledge in the outworking of Christian living. Throughout this book, Dr. Pache will direct us into thinking about who the Holy Spirit is, what He did before Pentecost, and what He has been doing since. What place does the Holy Spirit have in the service of the Christian worker, and what will be His ministry in the future? "The Person and Work of the Holy Spirit "answers these questions and others concerning conviction, baptism, filling, indwelling, and gifts of the Spirit.

So, here’s a crazy story...somehow this book ended up in my mailbox during a year that I was determined to learn more about and live more in the power of the Holy Spirit. I’ve asked everyone I can think of, and no one put it there (totally a God thing). This book is very theologically deep and goes over many of the Biblical references to the Holy Spirit while it discusses exactly who the Holy Spirit is and what he is capable of doing in our lives. It was the perfect book I needed to deepen my understanding of the Helper God has so graciously given to believers.

Absolutely excellent. This is one of the most thorough and well detailed book on the Holy Spirit I have ever had the good fortune to read. Good through and through, well explained, thought out, and logically ordered. I would strongly recommend this book to anyone desiring to understand the Holy Spirit further. I will warn that it was written some time ago, so some of the language is a bit different but at least to me it did not do anything to confuse the message. I am not certain what version of the Bible was used for quotations, as this book was translated I believe from the French, so a few notations are tricky. It said it was R.V. Which is not a version I recognize but could just be because it was originally a French version.
