Poodles from Hell

Rate this book
"Howard Inkley's first big shock in the Afterlife was finding out that he was the only cartoonist ever to make it into Heaven. What the higher-ups wanted from Howard was a collection of drawings depicting the obvious advantages of Heaven over Hell, for public relations back on earth.
Howard took the job.

I've had this book pretty much forever, or so it seems, and sometimes it just leaps into my hands and I'm transported back to the 1980s. Humor was different back in the pre-Internet world, but it's hard to describe how. . . maybe less cynical and snarky. Still snide and cutting, but without any real malice I think. Anyway, I hadn't read this book in maybe 20 years and though I've read it before it's still an entertaining read.
