This story shows that true love for family whether blood or not concurs all obstacles that can get in the way. No one gives up on anyone in this series and life begins anew. Dandy refuses to give up on Crave no matter what is thrown her way. She does everything she can think of to try and give him his memories back but it doesn't seem to be enough and it breaks her heart. When things change and Crave sets out on a trek emotions run high.

The last book I read that squeezed my heart by Victoria Danann was Solomon's Sieve, well this one squeezed it even harder. The battery of emotions I went through was so very intense. Victoria Danann is the only author I have read that I have to set the book down for a moment (not too long though) to catch my breath whether it is laughing, crying, or just yelling at the characters. I love every emotion and feeling she puts into her story world. Thank you for being so amazing Victoria.

Absolutely loved Crave & Dandy's story!!! As much as I loved Carnal (& I REALLY loved it) I think I loved this book even more. The characters are so well developed, the emotions so intense. I really didn't think Ms. Danann could write a series I would love more than her Black Swan series but I may have been mistaken. I really can't wait to see what she has in store for the Exiled. Especially Charming...

This book... where to start? First off Victoria Danann works hard to excel in her craft. I have yet to read one of her books that I didn't love.
This is a book takes place in the dimension where the book "Carnal" took place. This is the story of Crave and Dandelion (Dandy). Crave was rescued by his brother and his people during the battle with the Ruatt (the cruel enemies of the Exiled and Humans). He was left broken by his experience. His journey from being barely an animal to finding himself is agonizing. The agony only gets worse when you see how his promised suffers. This book does give the characters the chance to grow beyond themselves to find happiness.
I was enthralled with the story. The characters are multifaceted and flawed, which makes you care about them even more. It's a great read. Be warned you will suffer from heartache, lack of sleep and be labeled anti-social by all those around you until you finish the book. It does have a HEA, so there is light at the end of the story.

Highly recommend that you read Carnal-Exiled #1 first so that you have the background information.

To paraphrase Bette Davis..... "fasten your seat belts, you're about to go on a wild ride!"

Ms. Danann continues to spin tales that pull you into the story; you feel as though you are right there not as an observer but as a participant. With her trademark strong characters and a story that will have you laughing on one page and crying on the next Crave takes you on a journey unlike anything you may have experienced before.

Even now hours after finishing I'm still in awe of this story; still trying to come back to reality and wondering where Ms. Danann will take us in the next entry in the series.

Victoria Danann’s Crave was an incredible tale of true love and devotion, and contains some of the strongest lead characters I have ever read. Crave and Dandi were always meant to be together, but their relationship is put through both the physical and emotional wringer. Watch the Exiled community come together in support of their own to help them beat incredible odds.

This is the second book of the Exiled Series. I recommend reading Carnal firsts, as that storyline plays an integral role in Crave and Dandi’s tale.

Go ahead and get the tissues handy when you start reading Victoria Danann's 2nd book in the Exiled series, CRAVE...Once again she has given her readers a very well written, emotionally loaded story you can't put down(you'll crave it) until the last page. This is Crave and Dandelion's (Dandy) story.....
I suggest you read "Carnal" (book 1) prior to reading Crave as it will introduce you to the characters in this series about hybrids and their unique world.
A true romance story! ❤️❤️❤️

This book is another favorite of mine. After the heartbreak in Carnal, I loved the uplift in Crave. And I cut wait to read about Charming. I love Crave and Dandy’s story. The love between them is incredible. Everyone wants to be loved even a fraction of that. I always love how Victoria Danann can pull every emotion out of me in just one book and this one is no exception.

CRAVE is the second book in the wonderful new series by Victoria Danann. I would suggest you read CARNAL first. First, because it's another excellent read and second, because it does give you a lot of insight in to many of the characters and situations in the new book.

The events in CRAVE follow from those in the first book. Crave was taken prisoner by the vicious Rautt. He has been tortured and made to suffer. His own true love Dandy who is his Promised One believes he will be returned to her and his family will do anything to see that happen. Those that love him will not give up hope of saving him. At the end of CARNAL a full attack against the Rautt is made in an attempt to rescue Carnal. The cost is very great and lives are lost. Carnal is rescued and the Rautt are destroyed. But after all the years of abuse, Carnal has changed. When he first comes back, he has to be restrained to protect himself and others. He is angry and out of control. After a few months, the desire to do violence finally passes. He is himself again, but he remembers none of his family, friends, or his Promised One. Carnal knows they expect certain responses from him, but he has no memory of them and therefore, cannot feel any attachment to them. They in turn must suffer having him back physically, but not emotionally.

This is a powerful story about forgiveness and redemption. It is also about guilt. Guilt about surviving when others didn't, guilt about be broken, guilt about hurting those you love. It is not a simple process or a painless one. Love may give you support, but sometimes it takes sacrifice and even an act of madness to make things whole again.

This book works on so many levels. It is an emotional ride that will have your eyes tearing and you heart aching for characters it is impossible not to care about.

5 stars more if allowed!
From the first words of this book it held me in its aura! I sobbed so hard at the end of Carnal that those around me thought a family tragedy had befallen! So, I was a bit angry at Crave that he had inadvertently responsible for what happened to Carnal. But through the patient telling of Crave’s story I slowly lost my anger and instead found a love for Crave and understanding of all he had been through. In fact, all that the entirety of Exiled had been through. I felt like I bonded with Dandy. Who wouldn’t want that kind of love? Even in the face of never having one’s soulmate again, to continue to love so strongly is a blessing and a curse. Danann has a unique way of storytelling that weaves a spell on the reader and will not release until the book has reached its final word. ( and sometimes not even then) Characters come to life in such a way that we feel a comradeship and even affinity at times. The world she has been building with the Exiled series is so broad and so intricate in its conception that the mind is boggled at times. Where does she come up with these concepts? I only hope she never stops. Whatever you do, do not miss this series. Exiled is wonderful and I am so excited about this trilogy. I am looking forward to the next book in the series already!! VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Wow! What a fantastical second book in the series...just like with Carnal, Crave is larger than life, his character grabs you from his first appearance...holding on to your heart throughout the story. Throw in Dandelion, "Dandy" into the mix and you have a couple the electrifies. All the characters have so much depth and dimension, they literally draw you deeper into the story...creating an emotional connection that just grows as you continue to the end.

Ms Danann has done a remarkable job of continuing the EXILED's story in the same knock your socks off, pull at your heartstrings manner she set with Carnal. From the first paragraph, the momentum of the story continues to build, making your heart race and leaving you turning page after page as quickly as possible to see what happens next. There are so many moments where I found myself having to pause because of the intensity of the story.

I look forward to Charming's book...I can only imagine how Ms Danann will top the high bar she has set with the first two books in the series, when she tells his story next.

This book was provided by the author for my honest review.

Crave is the second installment in the Exiled series. This book was beautifully written, I almost felt like I was watching a well-choreographed dance, that had words and a gripping story along with it. These characters are good, and strong people who have dealt with so much through their lives it is easy to relate some to real life. Thank you Victoria for this beautiful masterpiece.

To me this was a quintessential Romance book. It has everything I look for in a romance story. All the angst & love a true romance should have. This book pulled at all of my heart strings. I did not Sob, But I read the whole 1st chapter with tears running down my face. I kept tissues by me the whole time I was reading. I lost count of how many tissues I used.
It would not be a Victoria Danann book if I did not Laugh out loud while reading. At one point, while reading in the Tub, I barked out a laugh and startled my cat. She almost fell into the water. LOL I got a dirty look from her for that.
I actually felt all the emotions. Like it was happening to me personally. Gut Wrenching. This book was cathartic for all the Exiled. It also gave us the readers what we were looking for. An HEA!
As we are used to from Victoria Danann. She has given us an adventure we won’t soon forget. This book has some scenes that will live in our memories forever.
Charming:
This scene just made me very happy.
"I have some eggs." "You do?" She showed him five beautiful brown eggs. "Two for you. Two for your father. One for me." "Let's eat them all before he's up and not tell him you had any." "I heard that," Free said as he stomped in and took his seat at the end of the table. Of course Charming had heard him coming before he proposed conspiracy, but he hoped to reassure them that all would be well by interjecting a little humor. "Too late," Charming told Serene. "He knows about the eggs."
She smiled at Charming. "How do you want them?" "You got potatoes?" "Yes," she answered. "Over easy, over potatoes with bacon crumbles. Lots of bacon crumbles." I cannot wait for Charming’s book.
Go now & get your copy. You will not regret it. Another Fabulous read by Victoria Danann. From a True Forever Fan… Pam James.

This is the second book in the Exiled series, and it was with trepidation that I started to read it. I had assumed (correctly) that we would start Crave's tale with the scene at the end of book 1, and I REALLY didn't want my heart mangled again from the first few pages. Well, I was out of luck with that, because immediately I was drawn back into the world of the Exiled and was traumatised by Carnal's death all over again! However, this time, we also viewed it from Crave's perspective, so we know what he was thinking.

Crave has been tortured for many years and it has fractured his mind (understandably). It remains to be seen if he will recover - both physically and mentally - enough to regain his place in the Exiled community and as Dandy's Promise. Normally, this would almost be guaranteed, but knowing how Victoria Danann likes to keep you on tenterhooks, you can be sure of nothing!

Exceedingly well written, with in-depth characters and situations, this is guaranteed to satisfy. With a MAHOOSIVE romantic gesture that had me in tears, this is everything you could wish for in a Paranormal Romance. Looking forward to Charming's story. Highly recommended.

* A copy of this book was provided to me with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read this book and my comments here are my honest opinion. *

I loved Crave. And read from beginning to end in one sitting. With the emotional aspects of this book I did have a few tears running down my face. We learn about how strong the characters are in this book. And even when it seems they are broken to the point of no return they surprise you and come out fighting to win. There is one part of this story that touched my heart more than the love story and that was between the father and son. Whatever the son did the father did also, letting him know he was not alone. The love story in this book is one that proves no matter what happens true love can concur all.
This is the second book in the Exiled series by Victoria Danann. I feel you need to read the first book before you read this one so you understand what has happened and why, this will make reading the second book so much more fun. Ms Danann has created a very unique world that to understand how it was created and have pieces of the puzzle fit right you will want to read her Knights of Black Swan series but it is not necessary. Exiled is a branch off of the Black Swan series. Get your copy today and see why so many of us have become forever fans.

First of all this is a Victoria Danann book so you know it's excellent!
I truly believe I've been bewitched! This 2nd book in the Exiled series could be better than the first. Crave was rescued from being held captive by an enemy, put through hell and more, wanting death. When he was freed his mind was not. But his " promise" Dandelion aka Dandy never gave up loving him and waiting for the love of her life. But Crave wasn't himself when he came home, he knew nothing and nobody. She tried to help but was getting nowhere, she couldn't take some of what was happening so she decided to help herself, she left. But love like theirs can't be broken, can it? You'd be surprised at what love can do to people. And trust me if anyone can spin a story that made me cry, laugh, cry, cry some more and even sigh with understanding it's Victoria Danann! This woman spins a story of love, sadness and more love! Crave and Dandy are my new loves! I must say it helps you understand more if you read the 1st book in the Exiled series which is Carnal. OMG THIS BOOK IS SO GOOD!!

This is the second book of the Exiled by Victoria Danann, I got this book early as an Arc. After reading Carnal, I thought there was no way Victoria was going to be able to top it, But guess what I was WRONG! Crave is an amazing story of a man who just needs some time and a little love. The Characters in this book will worm their way right into your heart weather it be Charming with his flirting humor, to Dandy and her endless giving and love, to Crave and his stubbornness. I gave this book five stars because not only is it very well written but because it's not just another love story, it is a lesson about life and love. Danann has always had the gift of making the story come to life for the readers and this one is just splendid. Thank you Victoria, for your hard work and brilliant mind.

Crave is the kind of story that will have you hooked from the very start.
I loved reading Crave & Dandy’s story, it is jam packed with every emotion possible, that took my breath away and I went through a lot of tissues.
I think this is the best of the Exiled series so far, I did not want to put ir down.
Crave & Dandy are such lovely characters, You really feel for them, and the supporting cast were a total joy.
I am so looking forward to reading Charming’s story next.

I'm not sure how to rate this one. I like this author and this story has a lot to like about it. But there was one plot hole that really bothered me. It bothered me enough to kinda ruin the story for me.

Crave has been kept prisoner and tortured. His family and his Promise (fiancee) have never lost hope. When he is returned he has no memory of his life before his capture. So here's where things got sticky for me.

So I like this author and series but this one kinda pushed me over the edge a bit. I wish I could have liked it more. Probably wouldn't re-read because of the stupid parts.

Wow, wow, WOW! The second book in Ms. Danann’s Exlied series is outstanding! I loved Crave, and Dandelion is an amazing lady. Their story is filled with love and heartache, sorrow and success. It’s a roller coaster from the very beginning, and never slowing down. Crave is a man troubled and uncertain of who or what he is. Dandelion is a brave woman, striving to overcome the tremendous obstacles standing in the way of her happiness. I loved her determination, even in the face of certain defeat. I adore Crave as well, and his fierce drive to overcome his demons. This is a fantastic novel that would make a great beach read. I would recommend reading the novels in order. I did receive a complimentary copy of the novel in exchange for an honest review.

This was just what I needed the second book of the Exiled series to be! After waiting just a few short months from the release of Carnal we get the fantastic story about Crave, who is in dire need of some TLC! Story line is great, answers all your follow up questions and gives you more for the next book! Characters are well thought out, and you really get a sense of the world they live in. Now I'm ready for Charming!

Crave has the ability to mess with your emotions. The heartache is real. I felt like I was punched in the gut along with Dandy during the Midnight scene. I can't even imagine what it would be like to stay as strong as Dandy who fights until she breaks. This is a story about true love. So don't let the sad stuff get in the way of reading this wonderful romance.

This was a great read. Fans will experienced and appreciate the hero mindset from being tortured mercilessly by the enemy. Having a heroine who can love unconditional and who is willing to help bring her man back for insanity was just priceless.

I loved the characters on how complicated and flawed they are, which makes fans love and care about them even after the book is finished.

Don't ask me why I do these things. I am so far behind in this overall series. But oh my goodness!! This one brought me right back into the thick of the Black Swan world. Crave...... holy s**t! I'm always a fan of the tortured soul and he has it in spades. LOVED that he and Dandy are each other's Promise. If ever there was hope that true love conquers all, this is the story to make you believe. Loved catching up with everyone from Exhile. Very much waiting to see what will capture Charming's attention.

On to the next book..........

*I received an ARC of this book free from Book Enthusiast Promotions in exchange for an honest review*

The last thing Carnal did before his death was see Crave free. It was the gut-wrenching ending to book one that leads straight into book two. Crave had been held and tortured by the Rautt for years and when his people got him back he wasn't the same man he was before. All that darkness had clouded his mind and pushed him to the brink of madness. But Dandy never gave up hope...not once. Not until one day she realized it was time for her to move on with her life like Crave seemed to be doing with his.

The mind is funny thing though, sometimes one little word can turn things around. And sometimes it takes an act of determination and love to set things right. Nothing comes easy to the Exiled, but they sure know how to come together to take care of their own.

"He's got this insane idea that he no longer deserves you. He's got it in his head that he needs to prove to you that he'd die for you."

The depths of emotions in this book are endless. Crave is powerful and moving. I laughed and cried and couldn't have put it down if I'd tried.

This is the second book in the Exiled series and it was just as good as, if not better than, Carnal. Victoria Danann's writing has a way of moving your soul. The characters easily win you over and it's not long before you're feeling what they feel and wanting what they want.

My Favorite Laughable Moment: There are so many moving moments in this book, but I don't want to give anything good away so I'm going with something a little lighter...may favorite laughable moment happens when Crave and Dandy are discussing a little gift from Flora.

**Carla's Five Star Review**

Crave is a hybrid created by humans. He has been taken captive by a rogue group of hybrids known as The Rautt. To put it bluntly, Crave has been through hell. He has been kept in isolation in complete darkness while being shackled in chains. He has been starved, teetered on the brink of death only to be brought back so the entire process can be repeated again and again. All of his people think that he is dead. Except his promise-Dandy. She refuses to give up on the hope that he is still alive.

When Crave is finally rescued, he is in pretty bad shape. All of his memories are gone, and he is hanging onto his sanity by a thread. Dandy is determined to not only help him remember but make him fall in love with her all over again.

Victoria Danann's writing grabs you from the start and won't let go until the very end of the story. While reading this book, you will connect with both Crave and Dandy on an intimate level. Their sadness will be your sadness. Their joy will be your joy. Trust me when I say that this is an emotional journey you won't soon forget. Great job, Victoria!

5 stars for this second installment in Dannan's spinoff series. If you love Lora Leigh's The Breeds or The New Species Series by Laurann Dohnner, then you will probably love this series. The "Exiled" are hybrids created by humans, making them stronger and smarter and gorgeous, every last one of them! HA! And they all have those crazy names that we love from the other series I mentioned: Crave, Charming, Dandelion, Serene, Free, well you get the point. It does make it easy for me to remember the names of the characters, though, versus, say "Charlie" or "Sean" or whatever else is popular nowadays (Simon? LOL). Anyhoo.... loved this book! It have me all the PNR feels of days-of old. And then what he does to prove his love! OMG. Be still my poor little unicorn heart - it was so touching. best gesture of love ever. This book is NOT filled with sex scenes - it is filled with pain and love and a journey back from hell. It has some sexy-sexy time, sure, but more importantly, it has a story and some great writing! I adored the female lead, Dandy: strong but vulnerable. And Crave - oh poor poor Crave. So glad Ms. Dohnner didn't resolve everything in one day - poof! All is solved. Oh no no no no. Much more realistic this way. Can't wait for Charming's book.

I absolutely Loved Crave by Victoria Danann!!!!!

Beautiful and Heart wrenching at the same time, Wow. 5 stars all the way.

Crave and Dandelion's tortuous Love story had me laughing, crying and pissed at some parts but so emotional it will squeeze your heart with such power, you can't help but be affected.

I was heartbroken at what Crave has had to endure at the hands of Rautt, but so Happy when his family rescued him. Dandelion's love for him and his family's Love brings him back from the brink of madness. Now he must face the fact that he had struck his mother and disfigured her face and win back the Love Dandy has given him..

Awesome read I would recommend to any PNR fans, mature audiences suggested.

this is a ARC review given in exchange for an honest review ,.
also note if you haven't read Carnal which is book 1 in the Exiled series then stop reading the review ., and read the prior book . before
this comes out on the 20th of this month .

I have never prayed as hard for a "happily ever after", as I did while reading the latest romance book by my most favorite author!
The pain inflicted on the leading character, Crave, was physical, emotional and just plain heartless. The struggles and pure determination of Dandy, the one true love of Crave, were both grueling and heroic.
This story was very well written, and it will fulfill your thirst for romance, while putting your emotions through hell and back.
The book Crave, follows the book Carnal, which I strongly recommend to be read first, as it does introduce the characters.
Read it, you won't be disappointed.
