My first glance at Elliot Michaels gives me chills. Tall, ripped Brit. Fierce MMA fighter. Unrepentant bad boy. The accent, the swagger – yeah, he’s seriously bad news.
Elliot is the hottest man I’ve ever seen – but his life is about violence, and that scares me. I became a doctor to save lives, while Elliot hurts people. Add in his dark past, and all the secrets he's keeping… It draws me right to Elliot, like a moth to a flame.
When Elliot and I start working together, he’s impossible to resist. Soon I’m letting him lure me in, bit by bit. A kiss here, a touch there. I’m ashamed of how much his dominance turns me on, the way he masters my body with those big, strong hands…
Little does Elliot know, I’m keeping a secret of my own. No matter how good he makes me feel, he can’t protect me from everything. In the end, the weight of our secrets might be more than we can carry.
Too bad, because I think I’ve already given Elliot my heart…
Jessica Ashe is a twenty-six year old lawyer, who has turned her hand to her real passion--writing about alpha males and bad boys. She's likely living vicariously through the heroines in her book until she finds an alpha male of her own.
I think I enjoyed this one a bit more than the other.
Alison was a bit more hard to get and that I enjoyed! I like it a bit more when it's not love/lust at first sight.
Elliot was a lot of fun too, he wanted Alison and he was going to get her!
The only thing I didn't like was that we didn't get to see the wrap up off Tyler.. That would've been better if it was closed. You know now it was just all under the rug or perhaps I just missed the conclusion.
This is my first book of Jessica Ashe and I’m a fan. I have other books of this author on my tablet and I hope to read them soon. This book is fast paced and the writing is amazing.
MMA fighter Elliot needs a new doctor to complete his team as soon as possible. He goes to the hospital for a check-up and get a doctor to sign a form so he can fight. Alison works in that hospital. She examines him and signs his form. Later that day, an appointment goes bad and Alison leaves the hospital while she still has patients waiting. The next day, she quits. She goes to a bar with her best friend Nora to have fun and to forget her problems. Nora’s boyfriend is a friend of Elliot and they are also at that bar. Elliot finds out that Alison has lost her job and asks her if she would like to be his doctor. She’s hesitant, but she eventually accepts. They spend a lot of time together, work related and not.
Elliot and Alison are amazing. Elliot is a hot alpha male and a great MMA-fighter. He wants to be the best fighter and beat the defending champion. He wants Alison from the moment he first saw her, but his charms don’t work with her. He kept thinking about her and was very happy when she decided to accept the job. It’s the first time he has to chase a girl, but she’s worth it.
Alison is a smart and sassy woman. She’s immediately attracted to Elliot, but she doesn’t like fighters. She also thinks she is not his type. After a while, she couldn’t deny the attraction any longer and chases Elliot. There are little parts of Alison’s dairy in this book. They told me something about her past and her thoughts. They were short, but I needed them.
The fights and the preparation of the fights were amazingly done. I know nothing about MMA, but I love it in romance books so it’s great to read more about it in books. I was always rooting for Elliot and especially in his last fight. That fight was important and I hated his opponent!
I did wished for more time of them together as a couple. They weren’t together fast, but I didn’t mind that because Alison doesn’t want to date a fighter and Elliot doesn’t do relationships. There were feelings from the start and hopes that the other person felt the same. Someone made the first move and they were together. When they were together, there weren’t many scenes of them as a couple. So a few more romantic scenes would have be nice. I did really love the epilogue. It was beautiful!
This book also an awesome bonus, namely 2 bonus books about characters who appear in this book.

This book is about Elliot and Alison. We first meet each of them in the previous book, Bad Boy's Honor. Alison is the doctor best friend to Nora, and Elliot is the guy Riker fights at the end of the book. I was glad that we got to read more about these two characters, and that they were in the same book ;-)
Alison first meets Elliot when she has to give him a physical so that he can compete in an upcoming fight. He used to have a doctor on staff, but sleeping with the doctor's daughter caused Elliot to go looking for a new one. The attraction between the two is instantaneous, but Alison is gun shy about fighters since her best friend's boyfriend (Riker) almost died as a result of his MMA career. Elliot flirts in such a way that he's not really pouring on the charm, but stating he wants her and wants her now. After sending Elliot on his way, she has a run-in with another patient that is so bad, she end up quitting the hospital. Now what is she going to do?
Remember how Elliot needed a new team doctor? Leave it up to two meddling lovers/friends in the way of Nora and Riker to try and solve the problems of Alison and Elliot. Not like you couldn't see it coming, but it was still funny reading how it all went down. You can picture the whole scenario in your mind, and I'm sure I have friends that would try and pull something like this with their single friends.
The attraction is intense but they both have secrets that might get in the way of not only a working relationship, but any kind of personal relationship as well. Really loved Alison's wit in this book and the fact that she didn't put up with any of Elliot's crap. Since we didn't get to know Elliot very well at the end of Bad Boy's Honor, I wasn't sure what to expect with him. I can say I don't think I expected him to be quite as arrogant as he was, but I loved him anyway. Another great read from Jessica!!

I received this for a honest review. The author did a wonderful job.
Alison was a doctor that loved her job. She loved helping people. Of course working as a doctor is what also caused her to meet Elliot Michaels. She saw this handsome man that was everything she hated. From his tattoos all the way to him being a fighter. Yet there was something about him that attracted her.
Alison had been done wrong by the hospital. Now here she was jobless all due to a MMA fighter by the name of Tim Norton. What he done caused her to not want to think about it for at least a couple of days and then it was still hard.
I loved Alison’s friend Nora who was dating Riker. Nora was a friend she could tell everything to. Nora and Riker were also a matcher maker. The one thing about Nora is Alison would have to thank her for having her best interest at heart. She helped Alison get another job.
Elliott Michaels was a huge playboy. Women pretty much threw themselves at this feet. He found himself. Now here he is needed a doctor and his friend Riker and his wife Nora are suggesting that he hires Alison. I just loved his reaction.
Things start to get hot and heavy between Elliott and Alison. Both have a secret and both don’t want the other to find out. Will Alison be able to except Elliott’s past? How will Elliott act when he finds out the secret Alison is keeping?
This is a true bad boy romance. You will fall in love with the protectiveness Elliott feels for Alison and you will fall in love with the concern Alison has for Elliott.
Right from the beginning of the book the h, Elliott, is having sex with his doctor and physical therapist's daughter. Mind you this is before he meets the h but the fact that it's detailed was a turn off. The doctor catches them and quits which brings in Alison. Alison is a doctor that quits her job after being suspended unfairly. After a night out with mutual friends, Riker and Nora (Bad Boy's Honor) Alison ends up accepting to work for Elliott. I love that this book isn't insta-love! Are they attracted to each other? Yes but they don't act out on it right away. I did like the book but not love it. It was a bit slow then towards the end it was rushed. The epilogue left a lot to desire, didn't go into much detail of what happened after certain events. I wish it would have been longer. Not all the problems get solved which leads me to believe we'll see more of the bad guy in the next book. Even though you can read this book as a standalone, 3 characters from Bad Boy's Honor are secondary characters in this book. You don't have to read it but I would recommend you read it first.
I have to say I have read the last 4 books from the author and her writing keeps getting better and better.
We first met Elliot in Bad Boy Honor and it wasn't in the best of circumstances but what he did ms how us was that he was honorable and at the time I didn't how important that will be. We also met Alison as the Dr who treats Riker and is Nora's best friend. In this story Elliot needs a Dr after caught sleeping with his previous Dr's daughter and Alison needs a job those circumstances plus a litt.e match making and a love story is born.
I love these characters Eliot the MMA fighter with a heart of gold and Alison the uptight Dr who hates the violence but can't deny her growing attractions. This along with a few twits makes for an entertaining story. The authors style keeps getting better a little more exposition, dialog banter a little tighter makes this story one of her best. If you are looking for a fun bad boy romance this is a great one for you.
This was a quick, easy read after a run of really great, slightly meatier books.
Elliot is a cocky, British MMA fighter who has a different woman every night. Women rarely say no to him and he rarely goes back for seconds. However, when he hits on sexy doctor, Alison, she wants nothing to do with him – even though her body language tells him she’s attracted to him. She’s not keen on the fighting and she’s definitely not keen on his arrogant, player attitude.
However, circumstances come about that Alison ends up being his personal doctor, and she finds herself fighting hard against her attraction to him. Elliot starts to realise that he might want more from her than just her body, but he has a secret in his past that might change the way she looks at him.
This was a fun read with some funny dialogue and a really cute ending.
I received this ARC in exchange for my honest review. I just fell in love with Elliot and Allison's story. Jessica Ashe has used strong characters and great story line. She has produced excellent work this far. I don't think there is anything of hers that I haven't read yet. I couldn't put it down once I started reading it. Elliot is a fierce fighter who has found himself needing a doctor to sign off for his next fight and to have on the team. Allison has just found out that she is working for a bunch of chauvinistic pigs who think women are beneath them. She has found herself in a tight spot of needing a job. Do you think that they will let their dislike for one another keep them at an distance? Or will it bring them together for a bonding relationship?
Another great read from Jessica Ashe who has once again intelligently written an excellent story. I love MMA bad boy fighters and Elliot is as sexy as they come - a great contrast to the sassy Alison, a doctor with the responsiblity of putting Elliot back together again after his fights. Another great addition to this story was Riker and Nora from Bad Boy's Honor, although each book is standalone it's nice to be able to see what previous couples are up to through the intertwined lives of the extended universe. Needless to say I would highly recommend this book as I would the rest of the MMA series. I received this ARC from the author for an honest review.
Elliot is a cocky british MMA fighter who has a different woman every night and he rarely goes back for more until he hits on sexy doctor Allison and she wants absolutely nothing to do with him at all even though her bdy language tells him different Circumstances come about that Allison ends up being his personal doctor and she is trying to fight her feelings towards him and Elliot starts to realise he wants more than Allisons body but he has a big secret that could have Allison change the way she looks at him This is a brilliant read and definitely recommend to read this book.
I was given an ARC copy for my honest review. I did enjoy this book. It was fast paced and the characters were relate-able. Elliot is a hot MBA fighter who can't keep it in his pants, he looses his physio doctor because of that. So he goes to the local hospital for his exam. In walks Alison. She is a woman trying to earn her place in the field of men.
Elliot I found has the soft silent hero side, he is the one that would stand up for the underdog or defenseless, yet he doesn't come off as a bully. Alison hates violence but when she quits the hospital before they can fire her she has no choice but to work for Elliott. Good story with great dialog.
My first book by this author, overall easy to follow story without unexpected turns. The story itself had the potential to become better than good. There was chemistry between the main characters but they did not have time to develop and mature their relationship through variety of interactions and situations, although there were opportunities to do that. There is ethical issue whether doctor should have relationship with their patient, which was never touched upon or explored by the author. Overall good story idea but not given the chance to evolve into exciting, unforgettable romantic story.
We first met Elliot and Alison in Bad Boy's Honor. This is their story. Both are standalone books. This is a quick easy read that you don't want to put down.
I must say as much as I loved Bad Boy's Honor. This book is even better! Yes, Both are about MMA fighters, but this one seem to have more romance to it.
If you like books about MMA fighters, romance and great sex. Then grab a copy of this books today! Looking forward to the next books by Jessica Ashe!
Received an ARC for an honest review.... This is Alison and Elliot's story and you met both of them in "Bad Boy's Honor". I liked this book. It was well paced, characters were interesting, dialogue was hilarious, an overall good read. Alison is s spirited character and Elliot is equally determined. I need to go back and read some of Jessica's previous books to see what I've been missing. I will definitely be reading more from this author.
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review…
Another terrific story from Jessica Ashe! The plot was great and flowed smoothly. Elliott is one of those characters you can’t help but love while wanting to sucker punch him! I believe he met his match in Alison. Once I started reading I couldn’t put it down. Jessica never disappoints her readers. Each story gets better and better. It’s always a pleasure reading her work!
Elliot is a MMA fighter, Allison is a Doctor. He needs a new doctor but in the meantime he needs a physical to clear him to fight. That's when he meets Allison. He wants her, she cant stand his type. I enjoyed this book.. It is a cute read with many twists throughout. Its funny, sweet, and steamy. 5 star read.. I received a ARC in exchange for a honest Review.
And Jessica does it again, what a great story, I love the reappearance of other characters, but I think I love the banter between Alison & Elliot the most. The only downfall is the book ends to quickly for me. Can't wait for the next one.
