They say graduates of the Martian School of Economics really go places. That’s certainly true for Sarah Meadows. After taking a job with the Gompers Insurance Company they send her to weapons training on her second day on the job. She’s soon parachuting out of space ships, hunting down cargo pirates and even trying to salvage a derelict vessel that may be haunted. Not to mention getting involved in a war between Earth and a reptilian race.
This was a fun read as Sarah Meadows, an insurance sales agent on Mars, investigates and solves problems--one adventure after another--including wars, a king who's been exiled from his planet, and a haunted space station. (She was transferred to Special Operations Division, aka glorified claims adjusters.) I love Sarah, Karl (the ex-king and a great cook), and the Tau, an alien culture that she actually becomes part of when she helps them. (It's good to have big lizards as friends and for backup.)
Okay, it seemed a little different--a book about a Martian insurance agent? It works. Sarah Meadows takes a job for Gompers Insurance Company. This is a company that insures high risk things like cargo for freighters traveling through pirate infested areas. You can even insure military spacecraft. And when something happens they don't just write it off, they send in Sarah to fix things. A surprisingly action packed adventure.
Bonded Agent is an exciting story about an insurance adjuster. Really? Yes, really. The insurance company Sarah works for is based on Mars, and insures some very interesting things. Can you really insure a war? How does an entire space station simply vanish? What sort of insurance company sends their agents for weapons training? Hang on for the ride as Sarah's job turns into way more than she expected.
The story is fun and It was interesting enough to finish but it was riddled with flaws. It is full of grammatical mistakes and can be hard to understand at points. the Main character is to perfect she goes from being a salesmen to a claims adjuster in just a day then gets turned into a general and wins an entire war in a day. She has no flaws and can defeat every enemy with little effort. With a lack of editing and zero character development it would be hard to recommend this one but I did actually enjoy reading it. If you like those movies on sci-fi channel then perhaps you may enjoy this, everyone else just ignore it
