As Veronica’s claim to my mother’s estate becomes stronger, I'm not sure if I trust her, but I can’t resist the temptation of her flesh. Until I can discredit any legal claim she has, I need to train her to be worthy of the family name. Training that’s strict and exacting. And totally pleasurable.
I’d always thought I was so normal and boring, but he made me into a sexual creature. I wanted him to take me to the limit of my desire, even beyond it. He challenged me, as though daring me to draw back, but the more he pushed me, the more I wanted. I wasn't sure where I’d draw the line. I wasn't even sure there was a line to draw. * Note: this is the third part in a multi-part serial with cliff-hanger endings. Contains smutty stuff that only those of adult age should read.
Candy J. Starr used to be a band manager until she realised that the band she managed was so lacking in charisma that they actually sucked the charisma out of any room they played. “Screw you,” she said, leaving them to wallow in obscurity – totally forgetting that they owed her big bucks for video equipment hire.
Candy has filmed and interviewed some big names in the rock business, and a lot of small ones. She’s seen the dirty little secrets that go on in the back rooms of band venues. She’s seen the ugly side of rock and the very pretty one.
With a very intense start, this third part in the serial had me hooked and panting all to the end. It's full of dirty little games of control and obedience that Dom inflicts on Veronica.
I really enjoyed the possessive way he claims her. However, the author has decided to keep the readers on our toes because Dom acts all callous and demanding, subjecting his captured playtoy to a plan of isolating strategy.
Like a sort of modern Pygmalion, he transforms her to his whims and sense of social propriety. It was so endearing to see her comply with everything as she has no better options and she's utterly besotted with him.
It's not to say that she didn't have her fair share of pleasure, but his cold investigations of her past and his plans to dupe her felt so wrong. I was fretting for her. I'm expecting heartbreak to come. And I'm relishing every step of the way!
The compelling story of Veronica and Dom continues as told from their points of view. I couldn't turn the pages fast enough to see what would happen next as their hold on one another continues to deepen. I was sad when part three ended and can hardly wait for the next part to be revealed in this gothic billionaire series.
I received an ARC is exchange for my honest review.
Part three of Dom and Veronica's story. He wants to control her and not lose his family fortune. She likes him and does not want to be alone. Can they give each other what they want and need? What if there is more to why Dom is trying to control her? I am enjoying their story and ready to find out how it ends. If you like a strong man who likes to dominate his woman, this is a story for you.
Received this book for an honest review from the author.
In books we really find out how far Dom is willing to sink in order to get his way in dealing with Veronica. The question is will Veronica wake up in time? Or will she just go with the flow thinking that all her dreams are coming true?
It's part 3 in this amazing serial and Dom is showing how domineering he can be...in and out off the bedroom. Veronica has no choice but to submit, she's never been controlled before, she's beginning to have feelings for him, can they give each other what that they both need. The story certainly has many unanswered questions at this point and I'm biting at the bit to learn the answers.
Two words: Stockholm syndrome At least the heroine acknowledges it. Could've been a good story anyway, but why it wasn't just a whole book instead of parts, I don't know. Also, the ending sucked, needed more close on Gramps. Something else bothered me about it, but I couldn't put my finger on it.
In this installment Dom and Veronica's relationship grows but Dom is holding back. He still thinks Veronica may be after his family fortune. Their chemistry is building. I can't wait for what comes next.
