Max wandered through the Canadian wilderness with no particular destination in mind but is found by another like himself and brought to a small cabin in the woods where he met a man who would change his life forever.
Unlike regular men, Viktor was a wolf-shifter, able to transform into the embodiment of the wolf at will - a rare trait that Max can appreciate. Wolves had historically been hunted and forced out of the confines of the human environment. His own father, dead when he was just a boy, had never taught Max the lessons that he would need to survive this world. Perhaps fate had led Viktor to Max at a most appropriate time.
The two spend the night together during a storm at which time Viktor tells Max that he must part ways, leaving Max to fear that he may never see his new found companion again. Can the love of two, lonely shifters survive years of absence or will they manage to simply forget one another and live their best shot at life?

I got this M/M shifter short story in a bundle and the content of the bundle is what is perplexing me most:
- this title story is not awful, but simply put, it is not professionally written. It is not just a matter of typos and grammar mistakes, it is the writing which is not right.
- The second story
is just as unconvincing while the third
is possibly the best of the lot but unfortunately it is a M/F story.
are professionally written but not particularly interesting.
All in all this bundle appears to have been written by different people or by the same person at very different stages of his development as a writer. That said, I do not think it worth the effort.
