Topic is important, kindness. The story and illustrations make you feel as though the father is forcing the child to be kind rather than understand kindness. I definitely do not like the words that are all capital. It feels as though the father is yelling. Read this first and perhaps share the ideas rather than the book together.
This book teaches kids about random acts of kindness. The little boy in the story experiences a random act of kindness at the drive through window with his family, and his dad repeats the act. But he decides to do some random acts of kindness himself. He doesn't get it quite right the first time, but then he pulls all three aspects together and figures it out. It's a good read.
Love the idea of teaching random acts of kindness! But this book uses some random examples which may be hard for kids to replicate. Also, a bit long for younger readers, would be better suited toward age 10 and up.
