Thirteen years ago a horrible accident changed Hope Moore's life forever. With her heart left shattered by the death of her brother and the abandonment of the only man she ever loved, Hope left Devil’s Falls behind her.

Returning back to her hometown for the first time since that horrible night. Hope plans to help get the scholarship setup in her brother's name and then head back to her life in Dallas. What she doesn't expect (or want) is to run into the love of her teenage life Daniel Rodriguez.

Thirteen years of passion and longing combusts between these two leaving them both gasping and more confused than ever. It's only after Hope is back in Dallas that the repercussions of their actions lets itself be know. With their futures now forever tied together, can these two overcome the guilt and pain to find their HEA?

"You want to know why you couldn’t stop thinking about me? No.” She shoved back against him, taking him deeper. He licked the shell of her ear. “It’s because this pussy is mine, darling. It always has been. It always will be."

I wholly enjoyed this one. It was well written (except for the ending) and the plot flowed nicely. I was never bored or felt the need to skim. I enjoyed Hope's character a lot. She was really a strong heroine and very likable. Personally, I wouldn't have gave Daniel another shot after his abandonment of her the first time, let alone after his douche-nado move the second time, but I can hold a mean grudge (or so I've been told).

Daniel was a bit of an enigma to me. I liked his character, but at the same time I wanted to punch him in the balls SO MANY times. I mean MY GOD MAN, the self pity jedi was strong in this one. Yes I get he felt responsible for the accident. Yes I get that Hope's parents made him feel that way (at first) but he just dumped his majorly injured girlfriend like a hot tater. She lost her brother. She lost the future she had planned out. She had to suffer through surgeries and rehab, and this self centered dick couldn't see past his own self pity party and refuses to take her calls or see her for THIRTEEN YEARS.

description

Like I said, even though Danny was a whiny bitch through 95% of the book. I was still enjoying it and it was heading to 4 star land, then...T-H-E-N we got to the end. What the HELL was THAT?! The ending was just SO abrupt. An apology, some sweet words, and BAM that's all she wrote folks. Talk about leaving us hanging. This needed another chapter or an epilogue BADLY. I was left feeling unsettled. After everything that Danny did. The way Hope's parents felt. The fact the Hope had a job and life in Dallas. NONE of these things had any resolution to them.

The ending really let this book down and because of that I had to take a star off.

2.5 Guilt Ridden Stars

As a young couple in love, Daniel and Hope had plans to spend the rest of their lives together. A tragic accident took the life of their friend and brother, respectively, and that dream was lost. Fast forward thirteen years and Hope's back in Devil Falls to help honor her brother's memory. And I'll let you in on a little secret: the two still have the hots for each other.

You love your guilt more than you love my daughter.

YES! That right there!

I wanted to like this story. I really enjoyed the other books in the series but unfortunately Daniel needed a swift kick in the ass long before Hope entered his life again. He spent years pushing his friends and family away, including the woman he'd planned a life with. Even after thirteen years of no communication and an undeniable connection that never died, he still spent the majority of the book running from a relationship with Hope.

Gah!

By the end...

A Fool For You was a quick and steamy read.

After reading the previous books in the Foolproof Love series, I couldn't wait for Daniel/Danny and Hope's book. I was excited to see how these two would come together after all these years apart and get their second chance at love.

This makes me sad to say but while I liked the book, I didn't love it.
I liked Hope's character, she was strong, smart and very forgiving especially after what she'd been through.
It was Daniel's character that drove me crazy, his stubbornness and macho ways took away from my overall enjoyment.
To be honest I don't think I connected with him at all :(

Having said that, what I did enjoy was revisiting the previous couples, Adam and Jules & Quinn and Avery.
I loved the support and friendship they offered Hope and Daniel, especially Adam. He was a good friend to them both but I loved how he was able to pull Daniel out of his head and show him what he was missing by closing himself off from real life.
Avery is still my fav, that girl has no filter and I love that about her.
And how could I forget to mention Ollie, Daniel's puppy. She was such a cutie :)

In closing, while I've loved this series, I do feel a little let down in A Fool For You.
I really wish we got an epilogue as I feel this would have helped me believe Daniel's feelings were true and that he wasn't going to slip back into his pity partying ways.

Overall the Foolproof Love series has been a great read, the characters have been memorable and entertaining and their chemistry has been off the charts. Lot's of hot and sensual times to be had, just what you'd expect from a Brazen book.

It’s finally here...Daniel Rodriguez and Hope Moore’s story!!! If you must know I am huge Katee Roberts fan and of course the Foolproof Love Series and the much anticipated story of Daniel and Hope is finally here and let me just say that this story was worth the wait.

#AFoolForYou

I never get tired of reading second chance romance because it provides the sense of hope and new beginnings. And for Daniel Rodriguez, it took him thirteen years to finally get his act together and stop feeling guilty for the death of his best friend, who happens to be the brother of his love, Hope. Daniel felt responsible for the accident even though Hope and his friends continue to remind him that it was an accident and that she doesn’t blame him. But a stubborn and guilt ridden Daniel couldn’t see it that way and so he distanced himself from the one and only woman that he loved.

When Hope returned back home to set up a scholarship memorial for her brother, a part of knew that she wanted to see Daniel. Old memories and feeling began to resurface. One night with Daniel changed everything as six weeks later, Hope told Daniel she was pregnant. Knowing that Hope is pregnant with their child, will Daniel finally make it known to Hope that he never stopped loving her and wants her to be in his life? Or will Daniel’s guilt continue to eat him alive and let the one woman he loves slip away again?

A Fool For You is a great ending to this heartfelt, emotional journey of three best friends. All three men finally found the peace and love that made them feel whole. And for Daniel, his hope, salvation, redemption, and love came in the form of reuniting with his first love, Hope. So if you are looking for a romance that intertwines heart, forgiveness, understanding, and love then look no further than this book. You would be a fool for missing out on a second chance romance with all the feels.

Too short, too rushed, and things were weird, with the unplanned pregnancy.

***Warning: this is an adult book, and for the eyes of mature readers***

Official Summary:

It’s been thirteen years since Hope Moore left Devil’s Falls, land of sexy cowboys and bad memories. Back for the weekend, she has no intention of seeing the man she never got over…or the two of them getting down and dirty. It’s just a belated goodbye, right? No harm, no foul.

Until six weeks later, when her pregnancy test comes back positive…

Daniel Rodriguez hasn’t forgiven himself for how things went down with Hope all those years ago. He knows she’s better off without him, but when she shows up on his doorstep, panicking because she’s pregnant with his baby, he can’t help seeing it as a chance to make up for the past.

Too bad Hope has no intention of going along with his plans.

What I Liked:

I'm a little frustrated with this book. I loved Foolproof Love and Fool Me Once, but this book... this book was disappointing. Daniel and Hope's story has been a long time coming, and the buildup has been fantastic as the series went. But actually getting to their book (this one), and experiencing the story... disappointing.

I suppose I liked the HEA, but that was pretty much guaranteed. I do like Katee Robert's writing, her world-building, and the characters she builds (in general). But this story was incredibly disappointing, because it just wasn't fleshed out (among other things). The lack of... everything makes this review so difficult to write. But here I go!

What I Did Not Like:

This story was supposed to be the "big" one of the series, the story that was a long time coming. Hope left town thirteen years ago, after a car accident left her knee broken up. Her parents moved with her, for her to get better treatment. Her brother died in that accident. Daniel had been driving. Daniel hasn't tried to contact Hope in those thirteen years, because he blames himself for the accident, and is wracked with guilt because John died and Hope was injured. Hope never contacted Daniel because she thought he couldn't stand to look at her anymore.

In any case, Hope comes back to establish a scholarship in John's name. Daniel and Hope have sex once, the condom rips, and six weeks later, Hope is back because she is pregnant. Daniel is determined to be in her and the baby's lives, and he wants her to stay in Devil's Falls. But Hope doesn't want any of this. Or does she?

First complaint - this book was way too short. 132 pages or so - not enough. The story felt so incomplete, like there were key events that were missing. I felt like Hope and Daniel needed to have gone through MUCH more in this story, before the HEA.

Throwing in the pregnancy complicated things, and I felt like Robert didn't handle this pregnancy situation well at all. Things felt way too rushed. Only a week or two after Hope finds out that she is pregnant, the pair are googly-eyed in love again, and Daniel wants to marry her, etc. It was just badly done; there was no development, nothing that made me believe that they were in love again, that they wanted to be married, that they weren't just doing it for the baby.

And the big angsty stuff - honestly, I didn't get it. Daniel has a complex over the car accident, and I get that. I understand his guilt. I do not understand how the author twisted this to make the climax (the big fight) all about Daniel's... guilt? Basically I don't understand the conflict, because the author doesn't really do a good job of explaining to us what Hope's problem was (at the climax). I don't understand why Daniel suddenly wanted to leave, and then he changed his mind, and then Hope changed her mind... I was getting whiplash. There was no basis to all this crazy back-and-forth.

There was no character development. Or, very little. I never really experienced anything from either character. Daniel is grumpy and broken, Hope is rude and angry. Occasionally the two of them will have a positive moment or two. But actual character development? There was a distinct lack. Perhaps the pregnancy overtook the entire story? That's what I think... the pregnancy kind of ruined the character development, the relationship development, the romance in general.

I did not like Hope. She seemed like a child, stomping her feet in the ground, trying to seem "tough" and independent, but it was obvious that she needed someone. I didn't like how she was acting to Daniel. It was like she didn't want to stay in Devil's Falls just to spite him... don't do that. The baby is much his as hers. Hope was so difficult and refused to really listen.

The communication between Hope and Daniel is atrocious. Honestly, 90% of the problems in this book could have been solved with one conversation. Which Hope refused to have. Which Daniel refused to push.

And then this book was just NOT sexy at all. I kind of expect a certain level of steam now, when it comes to Katee Robert's books... this book was totally lacking. This book was so abbreviated and short, and NOT steamy. No character development, no relationship development, and very flat sex scenes. Come on!

Would I Recommend It:

While I totally recommend Foolproof Love and Fool Me Once, I do not recommend this book. It's better if you skip it, especially for that price - it's not worth it. This book was incredibly short, especially compared to the first two books in the series (they were much longer!). I think this is the first real disappointment that I've had from Katee Robert - but trust me, her other books are really good! Especially her O'Malleys series.

Rating:

2 stars. I can't believe I'm giving a Katee Robert book such a low rating! I'm sorry if this review didn't seem to make sense - but trust me, it was as hard for me to write as it was for you to read. There was so much wrong with this book. I guess I'm just happy that it ended well! The series is a good one, but not this book.

Well damn Katee Roberts you have made this hard. I have really enjoyed this series and when I found out this last one was Hope and Daniel I knew it was going to be a lot more emotional and be a second chance romance so it took me a while to pull up my big girl panties and dive in.

Don’t get me wrong I knew there would be loads of steamy sex scenes and I have yet to find anything Katee has written that I haven’t loved I just really enjoyed the humour and quirkiness of the last two and I would have loved for that to continue. But with the previous introductions I knew I was going to need some tissues and maybe a glass of wine or three and I wasn’t wrong

From the first page I was invested, I had to know how they were going to get passed this traumatic event that had torn them apart and reconcile how they both reacted to the aftermath of their loss and pain. I loved Hope’s no bullshit approach to dealing with everything and if I am being honest, while I wanted Daniel to be happy I really felt like he needed a kick in the dick for half the book.

However when I hit that 90% mark I just knew I was going to walk away from this book without getting the resolution I so desperately wanted. Now before you think I am complaining, I am not unhappy with how the book ended I just felt it was too abrupt. I need an epilogue and maybe like a week’s more grovelling and some action to back up all the pretty words from Daniel. I just feel like I put the book down without finishing it or maybe I missed a few pages.

That aside I did love the first 90% and Daniel and Hope were such a magnetic combination It was fun to watch them fall back in love and their lust cloud was pretty heady. Catching up with the craziness of the other couples was good and I went through a whole gamut of emotions so all in all this book was a few hours of much needed escape on a stormy Sunday arvo.

Hope Moore and Daniel Rodriguez have history. And not just i know you history, but sad and tragic history ... history of broken hearts and shattered dreams. But now it's thirteen years later ....

The tragedy that separated Hope and Daniel all those years ago changed Daniel deeply. He withdrew into himself and stopped trusting in anything. Even himself. Hope was scared as well, but she's the stronger of the two, or maybe I should say more resilient. She mourned the loss then picked herself up and continued her life. That wasn't the case with Daniel.

I wanted to make sure to mention those pieces of information to maybe help future readers understand Daniel a little better before they begin to read. He's going to be a hard character to like. You WILL want to punch him, but everyone grieves differently and everyone comes out the other side of tragedy differently. So maybe don't judge him. Maybe try and put yourself in his shoes first ....

Katee Roberts has always been an enjoyable author for me. Her writing is solid. Her stories make sense and they unfold properly. I may not always like her characters, but they're still people that are well written and real. It was no different with A Fool For You.

Daniel Rodriguez’s and Hope Moore’s story has been a long time in the making, alluded to so strongly in Katee Robert’s previous books in this series that I couldn’t help but wonder if it was going to gut me when it finally came.

The biggest problem I have now, after reading it, is that it didn’t, which leaves me at a loss at how to write this review. On the contrary, when Daniel's and Hope's unhappy history finally came to light, it wasn't in a way that I envisioned their second chance coming around. Instead, I felt blindsided by the lack of emotional depth for most of the book, flummoxed by the sudden sex up the wall when apparently two people couldn’t control themselves after years apart with no contact, and perplexed by the clichéd pregnancy that happened after.

Where is the simmering sexual tension that makes it all so delicious when it breaks? Where is that awkwardness that flits between this very special groups of friends? Where are the gut-wrenching moments of reparation and grovelling—or at least the struggle to put things right—that the oblivious male lead should have had in the past decade I should be reading about?

For these reasons, I found that the story frustrated me on so many levels: that Daniel and Hope were so willing to use sex to gloss over the issues that they couldn’t seem to address, that Daniel inexplicably, suddenly decided he wanted Hope for keeps only after she returned (why now, when he hadn’t tried a whit in the past 13 years?), that Hope became this hysterical, unreasoning woman who looked so different from the solemn and somewhat lovelorn woman I came across in ‘Fool Me Once’. The lack of emotional depth I think, and the angst that should have been present didn’t seem present right up until the end where Daniel was finally caught out by Hope’s mother about being more obsessed with his guilt than his love for her. But because Robert only addressed this issue so late in the book made their relationship too farcical to buy into for most of the story; Daniel’s subsequent quick turnaround and Hope’s easy acceptance made me wish that this quick read had more unfiltered edge and a rawer process of characters realising—and overcoming—their own shortcomings without needing to write in Hope's pregnancy as an overused plot device.

I wish I could have liked this more—liked the characters and the story more. Robert’s exploration of grief and guilt comes in spurts throughout the book, but for me, it was way too late when it finally overflowed at the end, when it should have happened from the very start.

This is the 3rd book in the Foolproof Love series and one that I was looking forward too. Daniel and Hope really pulled on my heartsrings in book 2, so I was happy to see them get their own book. While I liked this book, I was also frustrated with Daniel. I hate long seperations, so the fact that it took 13 years for these two to get together again was not ideal, but I can live with it. What was hard was how Daniel kept disappointing Hope. He didn't fight for her, not once but twice. Normally that would have ruined a story for me but I still actually really enjoyed this book despite his shortcummings. I loved seeing all the characters in this book and seeing all of them get their HEA. I would have loved to see an epilogue though.

Hope is the heroine in this book and boy does she live up to that name! Thirteen years ago her brother, John Moore, was killed in a horrendous crash which also left her with a severely injured leg. That was also when her childhood sweetheart, Daniel Rodriguez, who had been driving the vehicle they were in, stopped seeing her or answering her calls, leaving her heartbroken. Now she’s returning to her hometown of Devil Falls to set up a scholarship for local students in memory of her brother. Reconnecting with friends and families left behind after the tragedy is traumatic, but that has nothing on what it is like to see Daniel again . . . . or to discover six weeks later that she’s pregnant with his child! Can they get over the pain and anguish of the past to make a future for themselves and their child? Is this really a second chance for their romance? Can he get over his self-pity party and give their love a chance?

It was good to revisit couples from the earlier two novels in this series and I still love how Avery just says what she’s thinking, no thought to the consequences! Having said that, I don’t think you need to have read them to enjoy this one. It again lives up to its branding as a Brazen title but has some cute times too with Ollie. There’s a strong plot line throughout the story and great characters making this an enjoyable read but I do wish there had been an epilogue to show how everyone else reacted to that rather abrupt ending, but that’s probably just me! It is also why I dropped the rating slightly - I wanted confirmation that Daniel won't be running and self pitying again any time soon and to see if/how he won her parents round in the longer term.

This is a quick, steamy second-chance romance and a good addition to the series.

I was gifted a copy of this book by the author, via Barclay PR, in exchange for an honest review.

3 1/2 stars. This book was not bad it's a story of second chances. Thirteen years ago there was an accident with devastating consequences, after the accident Daniel blamed himself and broke it off with Hope. Now Hope is back to the town she never wanted to step foot in, to honor her brother. Running into friends quickly also brings her right next to Daniel again. These years haven't been good to him and seeing Hope after all these years is both torture and joy, but neither can go back to how it used to be.

But there are lasting consequences to their night together and now six weeks later Hope is back. Even though Hope is back she has no plans or desires to stay but Daniel has different ideas. But sometimes moving forward isn't easy or possible when the past still has a strong hold on you. And both Hope and Daniel will have to decide what they want more in life and what they are willing to get it.

I liked this one it a fast sweet read. Both Daniel and Hopes past molded them and dictated their futures to and extend. Both still carry the scars and wounds. Hope was very strong and determined to keep going. Daniel was broken but he loved Hope so much. This read was a fast one for me but I did really like it. I do wish that Daniel had been a little more decisive and hadn't taken so long to come to his realization, and I also would have liked a little more at the end, but all in all a nice read.

*I haven't read the other books from his series and I had no problem following. Other characters are mentioned and are in the book from previous books(I'm assuming) but I had no issues following at all.

I have only read the second book in this series and adored it. After the brief glimpse we got of Daniel & Hope in the last book, I was super excited for their story this time around.

“When you look at me like that, I forget all the reasons I promised to leave you alone.”

Daniel & Hope’s past is complicated, and - even after not seeing each other for 13 years - the chemistry never left.

“It’s because this pussy is mine, darling. It always has been. It always will be.”

When their lives get even more complicated by an unexpected pregnancy, will they finally work out their differences or will the past continue to ruin the future?

“But you and me, darling? It doesn’t matter if it’s a day or a decade – we’re going to find our way back to each other again and again until we get it right.”

While I did enjoy this story, at times I found it to be very repetitive. It was super sexy and hot, but the push and pull between the Daniel & Hope got old after a bit - especially when Hope would give in so easily. I would love to see a future book with updates on all three couples! ~ Tiffany, 3.5 stars

While I found A Fool For You to be an enjoyable read there were things that were quite frustrating. The hero and heroine for instance, I wanted to shake them both I felt like they kept going in circles. I love broken heroes but there were points where Daniel grated on my nerves.

Hope knew when to placate Danny, "she pressed a kiss to his shoulder. “Okay, maybe you can fix most problems with sex.” I really enjoyed this book, I loved Danny, he was always trying to do the right thing, and I loved his tactics to go about it.

Hope and Daniel has a history. They were high school sweethearts that didn't survive a car accident that killed Hope's brother and severely injured Hope. Daniel was driving and blamed himself and decided to remove himself from Hope's life. He was not there/present while she recovered. Fast forward 13 years later and Hope is back in town to set up a scholarship in her brother's (John) name.
This isn't a spoiler since it's in the book synopsis, but Hope ends up pregnant. I expected to like this more. I really didn't like Daniel. In the previous 2 books, I thought he was a sympathetic character; grieving the loss of a best friend and girlfriend. But then, you realize the loss of the girlfriend is by choice- his. I thought he turned into an Alpha-hole; dictating to Hope where she could live, what she should do etc. Very much "you've pregant and it's my child so here is how things are gonna work." Hope's job, dreams, life? They don't matter anymore!
Even once they got back together, he blew a little hot and cold. Their reconciliation was too fast and not enough grovel after his behavior IMO. Hope's parents hit the nail on the head.
I decided this fit a category for Ripped Bodice Summer Bingo after all: I'm using this for Wardrobe Malfunction (the condom broke and since a condom is something that is worn/put on, I argue this fits this category).

This second chance romance follows former high school sweethearts, Hope Moore and Daniel Rodriguez. Hope and Danny were inseparable until a tragic accident changed the course of their lives and their relationship. Hope lost her brother and was severely injured in the accident. Danny struggles with guilt over the accidents since he was driving at the car. Guilt causes him to abandon Hope when she needed him most. When she returns to Devil’s Fall years later, she finds Danny has become a shell of the person he used to be. Hope still finds herself drawn to him and her attempts to play catch up with him at a family gathering leads to more than either of them bargained for.
What I liked: The main characters were both real and relatable. Hope has been dealt a tough hand in life, but she refuses to let it define her. She’s broken, but not beaten. I adore that quality in a leading lady. What I absolutely loved about her was her mean streak. She threatens bodily harm to Daniel several times over the course of the novel. He totally needed a kick to the shins and I really wish she had followed through on a few of those threats. Daniel’s character is mired in grief and self-loathing. He’s still hanging on to the guilt over the car accident that sent his relationship with Hope into a tailspin years ago. It was great to read about a relatable man who knows he has issues, but tries hard to resolve all the problems confronting him and the woman he loves.
What didn’t work for me: As much as I liked Daniel, he grated on my nerves a bit. I wanted him to just get over himself already! My other issue was that everything happened rather quickly. Like…super-duper fast. The ending was also abrupt. I wanted to know what happened next, but was left hanging. I’m all for a quick read, but I wanted a bit more buildup and information after the resolution of the conflict. I assume we’ll see more from these characters in subsequent books and be able to experience what happens next at that time.
Overall, this was an entertaining read. The characters are flawed, but relatable. It’s a fast read, but didn’t disappoint.
I rate it: 3.5 Stars

A horrible car crash kills Hope's brother and permanently damages her leg. Her boyfriend, Daniel, was driving when another car swerved into their lane. So even though the accident isn't his fault, he feels responsible and spends over 13 years with the guilt. So instead of being there for his injured girlfriend, he leaves her high and dry, mourning her brother's loss AND her boyfriend ditching her.
Fast forward 13 years and Hope is returning to her hometown to set up a scholarship fund in her brother's name. The couple's reunion is awkward until they are alone, when they get it on with only an old condom for protection. At Daniel's surprise birthday party at a friend's house. Outside. Of course, she gets knocked up. (I wish I could have knocked them upside the head). Hope is a pretty likable girl. You can understand why she is not very quick to forgive him. He abandoned her at her worst, lowest moment. In spite of him, she rose and succeeded in life. But neither of them really ever moved on.
Daniel is definitely not an alpha-male. He does have a possessive streak that makes him act like a jerk. He makes so many bad decisions, and I wanted to feel sorry for him, but mostly, I felt Hope's anger toward him. He felt that every argument was best resolved in the sack, so they spend most of the book in bed, avoiding the issues. But despite not liking him, the first 91% of the book is pretty well written and engaging. The end sure fell flat and was so quick. It definitely could have used an extra chapter or some actual resolution to the problems that the couple had been circling around through the book.
Overall, it was relatively fun and definitely hot. I'd probably pick up others in the series.
I received a copy of this story in exchange for an honest review.

Daniel and Hope finally get their story in A Fool For You. After thirteen long years, Hope finally returns home to establish a scholarship in her brother's name. Inevitably she runs into Daniel, the old flame and they spark it back up again - this time with devastating results.
Im having a bit of a hard time writing a review for this book. While I liked Hope and thought she was a strong character in most aspects of her life, never for one second would I have given a D-bag like Daniel a second look. HE. ABANDONED. HER. Sorry, I know that is almost a spoiler but... UGH. I loathed Daniel. Rarely have I felt toward a H like I did him. Get over yourself and your self pity, man. Grow a set and move on. *eyeroll*
There were some really good parts to the story, though now, dont get me wrong. Katee Robert can write one heck of a sexy scene. And she did, multiple times. We also got little glimpses of the couples from the first two books in the series, which I liked.
The ending of the story was very abrupt. I needed more to it to really feel like it was wrapped up. Maybe an epilogue? This wasnt my favorite book in the series but for lovers of second chance stories, give it a shot - it might be yours.

Of course it wasn't going to be as good as the other books in the series, but I wasn't expecting it to just end like that? I need more of a resolution please.

Another example of a couple who maybe shouldn't be together. All Hope and Daniel did was argue and I wanted to smack Daniel in the head SO MANY times until he stopped feeling sorry for himself and got over what happened. Sure there was sexual chemistry and tension from their old relationship, but I don't think Daniel is actually ready to be a better man for Hope. She deserves better.

We don't even get an epilogue? Not even a little chapter to show their lives after the baby? I feel robbed.

That's it!? That's how these series ends? That's how this story ends?!!! Ughhh I liked the series so far, didn't love it but I liked it, and then we come to Daniel and Hope from the very beginning i could not connect with these two and at about 50% in I skimmed through the rest of the book and then it's just ends with so many unanswered questions it was barely a HEA and the worst grovel ever

"A love like ours doesn’t come around more than once in a lifetime, and the fact we get a second chance to do it right is miracle enough. I don’t deserve a second chance—or third or fourth or whatever number chance we’re on now—but I’m here asking for it all the same.”

Some things about Hope and Daniel's past were hinted in the previous book Fool Me Once. And because I'm a sucker for a second chance romance I was curious about this couple, and they did not disappointed.

Daniel is from the brooding kind. Haunted by his past. He's full of regret and doubt. He stopped living his life, just kept existing. Daniel was also definetly full of pent up emotions and sexual frustration that he kept bottled inside for like 13 years. So when one day Hope is back in their home town they have a confrontation, one thing leads to another and we're going from there.

Hope is a strong woman, she's driven with a career and a life outside of her old life, miles away from home. But she also, for the most time, has her past in the back of her mind. And when 13 years ago she needed Daniel the most he wasn't there for her. So when the situation is leading her back home, back to him she's very cautious and guarded.
"Leaning on him now was just setting herself up for disappointment and heartache. She’d had enough of both to last her a lifetime."

I really like the second chance romance because I like watching people getting to know each other for the second time, even if they thought that since they loved each other once they knew everything about the other person.
"It struck her that as well as she used to know the boy she’d dated, she didn’t know a damn thing about the man standing in front of her."

Their relationship wasn't the easiest one. And even all the buried feelings that were still very strong weren't helping. I really liked to watch those two falling for each other again. Helping each other and healing together. Danny was such a sweet guy, and tho sometimes he tried the caveman approach, he was a really great hero to read about.

This fast paced read was very enjoyable for me. So if sexy and steamy romance about second chances is your jam, definetly go for it! :)

I really like books by Katee Robert but this book obviously was not for me.
The first part of the book was ok and I expected more from this story...
This is story about Daniel Rodriguez and Hope Moore...
Hope is back in her hometown Devil's Falls but then she meets her old friends and of course the only man she loved since high school and old memories are back in little hometown but not only that, one night changes everything!
After few weeks Hope appears on Daniel's doorstep with pregnancy test and they life is changed forever.

I received a free copy in exchange for an honest review. Thank you for the reviewing opportunity!

May contain spoilers.

I had such high expectations for this book only to result in such a letdown.

From the lovely cover to the promising blurb, I thought I was in for an emotional ride. To my utter dismay, not only there weren't any tears, I was skimming through the pages because I couldn't stand how Daniel was wallowing in his guilt and self-pity and yet he chose to abandon Hope after the accident thirteen years ago.

The pace was good (aside from the abrupt and unresolved ending) and the writing was captivating, but I just thought that the story could have taken a better turn. It would have been such a perfect second chance novel, instead it was just guilty of certain book cliches that had my eyes rolling. Guy abandoned girl after an accident that he believed was his fault, after thirteen years, girl moved back to their small town only to discover that guy hasn't moved on. A few minutes into their reunion, guy and girl can't keep themselves off each other and ended up having sex, which resulted in *drumrolls* - pregnancy. It would have turned out to be a good story, if the guy didn't repeat the same mistake, TWICE.

I'll admit. It wouldn't be such a huge problem for me if Daniel wasn't about his guilt 24/7, I've gone from feeling emphatic to annoyed by the end of the book, and the ending deserves an epilogue!

Despite my thoughts on this book, I haven't read the previous books in the series but I'm planning to do so, seemingly it has been garnering positive reviews from readers. I like Robert's writing and how she sets the pace, but maybe this just isn't the book for me. Looking forward to the rest though!

Hope Moore returns home, thirteen years after her brother John died in a car accident where his best friend and her boyfriend Daniel Rodriguez was driving. Badly scarred and walking with a permanent limp from the accident, Hope has built a new life in Dallas but she returns to her home town to set up a memorial fund in her brother's honour.

Daniel blames himself for John's death and Hope's disfigurement, he has spent the last thirteen years wallowing in guilt for driving that night.

Hope returns home the night of Daniel's surprise birthday party, after the initial shock their natural chemistry takes over and Hope and Daniel's suppressed passion results in a one-night stand. The inevitable happens and Hope falls pregnant, But can two people who once loved each other beyond reason overcome the ghosts of their past?

I loved the previous book in this series but I just couldn't warm to this one. I think it was my utter lack of interest in Daniel, IMHO he was a self-pitying, pathetic excuse for a man who thought only of his guilt, his feelings, his needs. I didn't understand why Hope was still in love with a man who was so radically different from the boy she was in love with thirteen years ago. I also didn't understand why Daniel was so aggressive and dictatorial when he felt he didn't deserve Hope and felt so guilty - it felt wrong somehow.

it wasn't all bad, Daniel got called on his BS by more than one person, I just didn't like him and I couldn't get invested in him and Hope.

Yet I remain invested in this series, I like Katee Robert and will continue to auto-buy her books.

Oh Daniel, what are we going to do with you.

Daniel Rodriguez has lost himself in the 13 years since the tragic accident killing one of his best friends and injuring his girlfriend. Swamped with misplaced guilt Daniel chooses to wallow in his grief and self-pity instead of being with the person he loves most in life. Feeling undeserving of being loved in return, Daniel buries himself in running his ranch while passively withdrawing from living along the way. that is until Hope makes a re-appearance in Devil's Falls to finish setting up a trust in honour of her brother.

A Fool for You is fast paced and a quick read. The sparks between Hope and Daniel re-ignite instantaneously upon their re-acquaintance, even after their 13 year separation. Blazing through everything in their path. A first love that never died *swoon* You can't help but think fate has taken a hand in bringing Hope and Daniel back together, although ultimately there has to be a choice to accept the love and happiness offered to them or drown in the negativity that had previously had a strangle hold on Daniel.

I adored how Hope handled Daniel and her acceptance of his demons, although she isn't a doormat and demands the respect and affection she deserves.

A Fool for You rounds out the Foolproof Love series with the type of future we can only hope to have for ourselves. I would love to see an extended epilogue of all three couples to glimpse what the future has in store for them.

3 Quick Read Stars

Overall, I found A Fool For You to be a good second chance romance. This story is fast-paced and sexy as hell. A Fool For You pretty much hits the ground running and never stops. I adored Hope upon first meeting. I liked that she wasn’t perfect and that her past wasn’t easy. Daniel was the one she could never forget about. The love they shared was real and intense, but their past got in the way of things. When the two of them are thrown together many years later, you can see how the guilt affected Daniel and even though he frustrated me, I couldn’t help but hope he would get his act together and find his second chance.

A Fool For You is a great second chance romance that definitely pulled at my heart and steamed up the pages. If I had to make one complaint, it would be a very small one in that I thought the story was a little too fast-paced. The ending felt a bit rushed to me and I would have loved to see Hope and Daniel really get to know one another again and really work on their relationship.

A Fool For You is a quick and steamy read and is everything you’d expect when picking up a Brazen Novel.

What a great wrap up to this series!

Daniel has always been the aloof guy in the bunch and now we know why and how deep it goes. His guilt over his part in the car accident that kill his best friend and crippled his girlfriend seems never ending. He's never gotten over Hope, but he feels he's not good enough for her because of this. Too bad Hope doesn't think the same thing. When they see each other for the first time in 13 years, things get heated. Hope shows up in a panic because she's pregnant and Daniel realizes he can make up for the past now. But can he? Or does he really love Hope enough to finally move on?

I loved Hope! She has been through so much and still has the ability to follow her heart. Daniel got on my nerves a bit with his guilt. I understand where he's coming from, but he was looking at this as a second chance with Hope, and it was, but he should have jumped at it from love, not guilt. The scene between Daniel and Hope's mom was outstanding! That was honestly my favorite scene in the book :)

ARC Review: A Fool For You (Foolproof Love) by Katee Robert

No word could better describe the heroine in A Fool for You than her name, Hope. Her world was devastated in the blink of an eye. A heartbreaking loss that destroyed a family, a community and all of her dreams forced her in a new direction. But time could not erase her connection to Devil Falls and the man that broke her heart. Daniel has been fighting a losing battle with guilt and grief for thirteen years. Can he let go of his fears enough to take the second chance staring him in the face? Daniel and Hope had a long bridge to cross. Tragedy, anger, guilt, naysayers and memories that could make or break them. There were times I wanted to slap Daniel upside the head. Believing in the impossible and willing to take a risk, that's my definition of hope. Ms. Robert picked the perfect name for her strong heroine.
