The undeniable chemistry between food photographer Catherine Kelley and billionaire gourmand William Lambourne has become an unquenchable thirst.… Catherine's career in Chicago is taking off and the handsome stormy-eyed stranger who recently rocked her world has become—dare she say it?—her boyfriend. Dating a billionaire who's a god in the bedroom and a virtuoso in the kitchen definitely has its perks. But it's the unguarded, tender moments with William that stir Cat's heart and reawaken her appetite for love. A weekend trip to William's vineyard so he can face a painful loss puts their new relationship to the test. Complex and layered, William is at once passionate and sweet, but also prickly and guarded. He's promised openness, but it becomes immediately clear that Cat's version of honesty and his are as different as chardonnay and pinot noir. It's hard to fault William for his secretive ways when Cat knows she's holding back, too. As the attraction between them gets even hotter, Catherine and William must share all of their secrets before their relationship can truly begin. And little does Cat know how dangerous confronting their pasts will be. Book 2 in the Epicurean series.

This book was not on par with the first book in my opinion. I REALLY enjoyed book one because of it's absolutely sensual love scenes that combined gourmet food and some explosive chemistry between the Hero and heroine. Ms. Grace used touch, taste, smell, and feel to paint a perfect picture for the reader and put them right inside William and Catherine's world. I really connected with her writing and I was completely impressed and blown away that A Taste of You was her debut book. Unfortunately, while the writing was still wonderfully descriptive, the characters that I enjoyed so much took a frustrating turn for me.
Catherine is a young widow who moved to Chicago to start over when she lost her husband in a horrible car accident where she was driving. The guilt ate away at her for three years and she finally agreed to move there to be close to her best friend and start a new chapter in her life. Her relationship with William was fast, intense, and very unexpected on her part. At the end of book one, Catherine is boarding a plane with William to California in order to support him while he investigates new information about his brother who was presumed dead.
For me, the book started out fine....up until they got to California. Then the characters really started to veer from their typical behavior and it was very frustrating.
Catherine started acting like a whiny, petulant brat. She got angry at William because he was gone dealing with work and his investigation and was constantly fighting with him. He was extremely secretive, apparently to keep her uninvolved in any unpleasantness, but it only caused her to mistrust him and accuse him of cheating on her. She was over the top jealous in this book...I mean she saw an attractive woman talking to him and touching him at the airport she started getting insecure, questioning his feelings, and building scenarios in her head about her being a threat.
I didn't get it. That is not how she acted in the first book. She was very strong, confident, and stood up for herself. And William I just wanted to smack at times for being so secretive. Pretty much the whole book he was hiding stuff from her. Eventually, after (finally!) communicating with each other a little they worked out some of their issues but it just seemed like a lot of unnecessary drama was added that I could have done without. In addition to that, the book ends in another cliffhanger and there is no release date at all for the third and final book.
One thing that I did enjoy was the introduction to the extremely hot Hutch Morrison executive chef and culinary genius with an edge. He's very flirty, sexy, tattooed, and cocky. And (Hello!) the guy has a southern accent. I REALLY want this guy to have his own book. Like, pronto. Damn this guy was smoking hot.
Overall, I still enjoyed the writing, but unfortunately, the characters were frustrating and the plot was a little too filled with unnecessary drama for my taste. I will still be reading the third book when it comes out because I really need to find out the conclusion to William and Catherine's story and I'm hoping they will revert back to their less annoying personalities and get their acts together. (And I really need some more of Hutch Morrison's sexy self)
*I was offered a free review copy by the author and I literally jumped at the chance since I loved “A Taste of You”! So here we go!*
The good: Delectable plot and story line. Great pacing. Lovely characters. And satisfyingly sensual!
The bad: What a cliffhanger!! Grrr!! I want book three NOW! lol
My thoughts: “A Sip of You” revisits our beloved characters of Catherine and William. As Catherine’s career is taking off, she juggles her relationship with her rich, handsomeAND*cough cough*ALPHA*squeals!* boyfriend, William.
Catherine and William’s romance takes many twists and turns of ups and downs throughout the course of the story BUT I loved how the author kept them grounded and relatable to real life.
The only thing of course, is that both are still guarding secrets from their pasts that can obviously pose as a deal breaker in their relationship...Go figure right?...
I absolutely loved seeing the challenges that arise at every turn and journeying with both Catherine and William as they learn how to trust and grow with one another.
However though, in a way, aside being a steamy erotic romance, this series has a flair of suspense and thrill in it! How interesting!
I can’t wait to see what Sorcha has in store next for us readers !! Will our lovers have their happy ending? Will their secrets tear them apart? What dangerous disclosure is William withholding? And will it put his and Catherine’s lives in jeopardy? Read and find out!
Good book. This one dragged on a bit and I skimmed a few. Cat annoyed me to no end this book. I hate overly emotional heroines, just too much. He'll of a cliffhanger too. Cannot wait to read the next.
First off, if you haven't read A Taste Of You, you'll need to read it first, as A Sip of You picks up where the first book left off. Even though Northern California is the last place Catherine wants to be, she will do anything for William, including being there for him when his long-lost, presumed-dead brother has possibly been found. After William leaves her in his mansion alone for days, Catherine decides to venture out in Napa and runs into one of the biggest reasons she left Cali - her dead husband's brother, Jeremy. He wants to pick up where they left off but she's ashamed of the person she turned in to after Jace died, she's not that girl anymore. She can't take being alone or being left in the dark when it comes to William...why won't he open up to her and let her know what's going on in his life? Where does he keep disappearing to?
William Lambourne.....mmm, yes please! Who wouldn't love a sexy, dominant billionaire with wicked skills in the kitchen and in the bedroom? Catherine is falling in love with the glimpses she sees of the softer William, but do those glimpses make up for the craziness of his life? Money and fame can mean a lot of nice things, but it can also mean danger. Catherine's tired of the secrets and last minute trips...what will it take for William finally open up to her and let her fully into his life? He feels she's better off if she doesn't know everything...if she knew, she may run away for good...
I did enjoy A Sip of You for the most part, especially William, but Catherine just got on my nerves. She was so wishy-washy and self-centered. I will give her credit for finally figuring that out about herself, but it still drove me crazy. It seemed most of the book was either William and Catherine fighting about him being gone, or them in the bedroom. Don't get me wrong, the bedroom scenes (and kitchen scenes, and shower scenes) were very ummm...well written ;-)...but I wanted to see more emotional moments between the two.
I felt A Sip of You was very similar to 50 Shades in some of the scenes and characters, but it was different at the same time. There was an undercurrent of a mystery in the story and I'm very interested in seeing how that plays out, I will definitely be keeping an eye out for A Feast of You. I'm also hoping for more on Hutch Morrison, the HOT, tatted, southern chef who wants to work with Catherine. I think he has potential to give William a run for his money...
I was SO close to giving this 5 stars! I'll come to my reasoning soon....
This was a brilliant installation in the series. It literally had me trying to read that little bit faster so i could find out what was going to happen! I even skipped some description so i could actually get to the dialogue... don't judge i'm an impatient women okay?!
I love William! Not a fan of his secretive ways but i do understand his reasoning behind it all.... sometimes.
Catherine is also a great heroine, although she is one of my reasons for not giving the full 5 stars, i like her fiery side and how she can hold her own. But saying that, she frustrated me once or twice towards the end of the book - see spoiler-y rant below!
Another reason for the 4.5 star rating....
But apart from those issues i devoured this from start to finish, can't wait to dive in to the third book!
Catherine and William's delicious relationship continues to captivate readers in book two of this three book series. With danger and secrets surrounding them at all times, William fights the only way he knows how to keep Catherine safe...keep her at his side. When he unexpectedly leaves her on her own, she starts to question where she belongs in his life. Is she ever going to break through his secrets and barriers? Will she ever know all she needs to know to understand this man she has grown to love.
Catherine>>> " I fell in love with the man who loved to cook, who sang off-key, who made wine, and who still held on to hope for his family, even though all seemed lost. He was loyal, protective and tender."
Catherine's fatal flaw is she runs...she runs without thinking first. On one of these flights from William's control she runs smack into a familiar face from her past, one she is not so sure she wanted to ever see again. Will this man be the ruination of her relationship with William or are her feelings for William strong enough to bring her back into the safety of his arms?
William is fighting his own internal battle. He so wants to find out the whole truth about his family's deaths but he also wants to keep Cat safe. He doesn't trust anyone who comes near her and sometimes rightfully so . Will his controlling ways push her away for good? Is her life really in jeopardy? Can she love a man like William without knowing all his secrets? I sure as hell hope so because book three would be real dull without them loving food, wine and life together.
I would be remiss if I forget to mention the other men in Cat's life. Beckett continues to be her best friend even though his career thanks to William will be moving faster than lightening . A new man in her life is rocker, now chef and restaurateur Hutch Morrison...AKA "flirter extraordinaire". I hope to see a lot more of him in book three ....but hands off Catherine !!!
A Sip of You, by Sorcha Grace, is a decadent and deliciously rich story that I enjoyed immensely. This book picks up right where A Taste of You left off, seamlessly immersing me, once again, into the world of William and Catherine.
William, William, William…I absolutely adored him. He is enigmatic, compelling, dominant & exudes raw masculinity that is all-consuming. I loved his character and the air of mystery he continued to present. I was given much wanted, and needed answers to my questions surrounding him, but even more questions were raised. I can’t wait to read, and learn, more about his character!
Catherine disappointed me slightly in this book. In A Taste of You she was a fiercely independent woman who surprised William at every turn. From her sass, to her confidence she was a pleasure to read. So the insecurities and selfishness that she developed in this book were a little disconcerting to read. However, I do feel that her self-discovery, with a little help from Beckett, about how unfair and selfish she had become were authentic and showed growth for her character.
Ms. Grace did an amazing job breathing life into William and Catherine’s story in A Sip of You. She propels the reader from the first page to the end with an exciting and suspense filled plot and fabulous characters that have stunning chemistry. Combine that with the cliffhanger at the end, and I am left desperately needing, and wanting, the next book.
From the breathtaking cover to the sensational story inside, A Sip of You is definitely a story that you want to read! However, make sure to read A Taste of You first, because this one absolutely cannot be read as a stand alone.

"I never imagined I could feel this way about someone again. William and I had only known each other for a short time, and yet he'd already changed my world completely and I had fallen for him. Hard."
A Sip of You is Book 2 the series by Sorcha Grace. It's the continued story of Catherine Kelley and William Lambourne. Catherine is a food photographer and William is a billionaire. These two have an amazing chemistry and connection to one another but are both holding onto secrets of their own that could tear the couple apart. The closer the pair get to one another the more they know that they need to be open or risk losing each other. But will they be able to?
"Even through my shock I thrilled a little at hearing William call himself my boyfriend. He was more than that to me now. My lover, my friend. My protector. Boyfriend couldn't possibly encompass all of those things."
This book was well written. The connection between Catherine and William is undeniable. This book was a quick read for me and while I enjoyed it for the most part, I found Catherine too whiny and self centered for my taste. But at the same time it was nice reading a book and having our heroine actually seem human. William and Catherine's passion for on another seems very real for two people in love. Once again I find myself in awe and find myself with another "book boyfriend" William is magnificent and sounds like such a dreamboat. The ending of this book makes me very anxious to read book three to see how everything will play out! If you have not read book one in this trilogy I would recommend reading it first, because A Sip of You picks up where it left off.
I read #1 over a year ago now and i adored it, it was the perfect mix of sex and food..so when i realized i hadnt read two, i got straight on it. Straight away i was taken back into the world of Stormy Eyes with Sorchas fantastic description from the clothes the couple wear to the beautiful food they indulge in. We carry on from book #1 and now, well Catherine & Williams relationship has changed and taken on a new level. We meet them as they are tying to deal with that. When William gets some news and has to leave town, Catherine heads with him feeling overwhelmed by his wealth but dedicated to him. Throw in a few hard days and a vanishing William and i felt like i wanted to bang my head against the wall repeatedly. William is still as mysterious and sexy as ever, and still blowing hot and cold leaving both me, and Catherine in turmoil. I felt in limbo alot of the book, and was unsure how the realtionship would develop. Because frankly William is Frustrating.
Catherine is still as strong and independant and focused on her work as ever, which i love as i didnt want her to lose herself in the relationship with such a strong character as William. When the pair do head out of town, she bumps into a familiar face, one she didn't really want too see. Catherine then spends far too much time over analyzing where she should go from there and i just wanted to shake her by the shoulders and tell her to embrace the relationship.
This book was far better than #1 in my opinion, i found myself both swooning, frustrated and a little bit hungry. Sorchas writing once again was fantastic, and in desperation i may have tweeted her to find out when book #3 is out, because quite frankly the cliffhanger it was left on, did not leave me impressed!!
I'm waffling between 3.5 & 4 stars. A Sip of You is the 2nd book in the Epicurean Series. You do need to read the 1st book (A Taste of You) before you read this book. I love this series and I liked this book but, I didn't find it to be as good as the first book. I found that I didn't love Cat so much in this book. If she was a real person I would've slapped her. I found her to be annoying, whiney, a little selfish, jealous & I didn't like that she'd cower to William so much. At the same time, I totally understand why she was that way. It was just so frustrating to read at times. As Hot as William is I had some issues with him too. I thought he could've been more open & honest with Cat about everything. He wanted her to trust him but, he should've trusted that she could've handled whatever it was that he needed to tell her. Trust is a 2 way street. I can say when these 2 get together they do have scorching hot sex! There was also some unnecessary drama that I could've done without. Like the whole Jeremy (Cat's ex brother in law) plot line. I found that whole storyline to be filler. I didn't see a need for it. When Cat & William did finally get all their shit together, I loved them again. We did get to meet a new hot, sexy, tatted up chef named Hutch Morrison. I can tell he's going to be a fun one! He may give William a run for his money! Hopefully we'll see a lot more of him in the next book. Of course this book ended on a huge cliffie, so I can't wait for the next book! Even though this book wasn't my favorite outta the 2 so far, I'd still recommend it. This series is good, all the characters are fabulous, & I have a feeling the 3rd book will be awesome.
I enjoyed this book as much as the last because William finally shared his tragic past and worked harder to make amends and be the man Cat wants him to be. He opened up to her and became a little softer emotionally but still dominated the bed room. I thought he was still a little hypocritical about Jared the ex-brother in law and he punished her by walking out on her because she would not share their history together. I thought that was a little arrogant on his part since he was basically a man whore and it sounds like she only had 3 partners, her husband, her brother in law Jared and William. As I mentioned William let her in to his past about the death of his family, he introduced her to his Aunt/Uncle and cousins, shared photos. Then photo's showed up, suspicions were rocked and things were said and he admitted to having her followed for her own safety purposes. Catherine challenged him and said your keeping secrets again and that is not fair, this isn't the way a relationship works. The ex bro in law, Jared shows up thinking he can hook up with Cat again she has to let Jared down politely and nicely and send him back home on his way to his fiancé. This brings up the past again and William gets mad and insists she tell him. She does finally tell him the same night they profess their love for each other. Cat gets a really great opportunity to work with a hot chef who may or may not cause problems in book 3 but I am really just guessing........Catherine'a dog is dognapped and cliffhanger they think it might be by Williams brother.......cliffhanger read book 3
Ok..So I first got to know William and Catherine in "a taste of you" they weren't just characters but long lost friends that you haven't seen in awhile. I guess that is the best way I could describe there story. Its like they are both in the room with you while your reading this amazing book. William and Catherine have you up and down with your emotions that you literally need the tissues ready at a moments notice. Make sure you have your snacks as well cause once you start reading there story you will not be able to put the book down. Willam and Catherine have this wonderful romance that is like your typical romance but with a twist and that twist is that they are normal. The author doesn't make them out to be anything that they are not. Catherine and William in this book have so many ups and downs and yelling but not yelling, breaking up but not breaking up. They are just a normal couple having a normal romance. This book is AWESOME. You do however have to read "A Taste of You" first this is not a stand alone book. I can't do a review that will give you any kind of spoilers or clues to what is gonna happen cause quite frankly with William and Catherine honestly they kept me guessing at every page but a good kind of guessing.. I will tell you this.. Get the books you will not be disappointed in reading William and Catherines story. I just can't wait till book 3 comes out. They litterally have me at the edge of my seat.. Kudos to a great read.
Like a fine wine that is the correct blend of grapes and has been properly aged, A Sip of You memorably strikes the palate. This much awaited book wrapped me in the warmth of the passion our two main characters feel for each other. Catherine and William have only know each other barely a month, but the chemistry between them is incendiary. Keep the fire extinguishers handy!
Their budding love is fragile. They both have undisclosed secrets that can alter the fate of their relationship. Only by trusting each other can they overcome the obstacles that threaten their relationship.
The Epicurean Series is both an erotic romance and a suspenseful story. The secretive William has allowed very little insight into his past until now. He has been forced to distrust everyone and only rely in his own counsel. As this story evolves, through the magic of the author's prose, we finally are given enough information for us to fear for Catherine and William's lives. The solid plot line makes this story so believable, the reader will be hooked with the need to see this to the end.
I now sit and wait, though rather impatiently, for the next installment and hopefully the conclusion of this roller coaster ride.
I really loved the first book and have been actively checking the release date of #2. For the most part, this one didn't disappoint. This author seamlessly continued the feel of book 1 and I am just as excited for book 3 as I was for the release of this one.
What's still great: WILLIAM! He is still sexy as all hell, possessive alpha, dominant, man of few words, but still amazing at every turn with the many hats he wears as chef, billionaire, wine maker, boyfriend ;-) The chemistry he has with Catherine is still magnetic and the intrigue of book 1 continues in this sequel.
I must admit, Catherine annoyed me a bit more in this book. She was whiny A LOT and insecure and kept pushing William away. It got to be overbearing - GIRL ENJOY IT! I also thought they really needed to talk to one another more, multiple times they jumped each others bones before getting a chance to hash things out and it slowed down the progression of the book - I wanted to see more of those emotions played out.
Does end on a bit of a cliffhanger, related to the plot, less so concerning their relationship right then and there. Hoping it won't be as long of a wait for next release!
What?! No one has yet mentioned what a great backdrop this series has--CHICAGO! I love the scenes in the restaurants, brisk walks with Laird, the fabulous dog, all of it! And Cat and William—such interesting characters who I really care about (and continue to think about as I impatiently wait for the third installment). The suspense developed in this book is really well done, too. I have to admit that one of my favorite scenes is Cat and William flying to CA in his private jet. Naturally, I have put a private jet ride on my bucket list. But back to the book . . . Another character whom I really adore, so far (Sorcha, please don't surprise me and turn this guy into something evil) is Beckett. I can totally hear him, see him and would welcome Beckett into my kitchen for a cup of coffee and one of his signature pastries. Oh, that's another thing: the food itself takes on the importance of a character and I'm all for that. Perhaps book three could be put on the fast track for those of us who'd like to get started on it yesterday.
A Sip of You is book 2 from Sorcha Grace’s Epicurean Series. It took me a while to read this book and it may be because I was not in the right head space to enjoy a romance novel. Overall the book was okay as with the first story food plays a separate character. The one thing that drove me crazy was Catherine’s whining about William. I did love that her bestie Beckett set her straight. I mean, come on a billionaire loves you and you, spends time with you and you complain and find reasons to try and sabotage your relationship? This book takes up where the last one left off with William trying to find out about the latest claim that his brother may still be alive. We discover that Catherine may be in danger just by her association with William and she has to decide if she is going to stick it out or cut her loses. I did like this book and look forward to reading book 3.
Lots and lots of sex. This book really didn't have much plot to it because it was overrun with sex. And Catherine, wow, talk about hot and cold. She couldn't stay mad at William if she wanted. Because the second she set eyes on him, she forgets why she's mad and immediately jumps his bones. I love William and Catherine, but Catherine has too many hangups and she runs so hot and cold, it's crazy. As a reader, I can't even tell what's up from down. I get serious whiplash.
I definitely enjoyed the first book more, but I am excited to read the third book in the series and see how everything turns out. Maybe there will be a little less sex and more story the next time.
In finishing book 1 of this series I immediately picked up the second book. Needless to say I was not left hanging or disappointed!
Sorcha Grace continues to capture the art of food and its sexual appeal. Every word keeps me wanting to turn the page. And as I do I am rewarded with more mouth watering moments and not to mention food!
Bring on number 3 please! I am very (im)patiently waiting...
4.5 STARS~ Ok, so it's no secret that I love me some sexy, dominate, Alpha males...nope, no secret whatsoever. So it shouldn't come as a shock when I say that I absolutely LOVE William Maddox Lambourne III!! After whetting my appetite in A Taste of You, I could not wait to dive right into A Sip of You and unravel the enigma that is this complex, dominate alpha male. But it seems like the more I learned, the more questions that I wound up having, so, suffice it to say: I cannot wait to get my grubby little hand on A Feast of You!
Sorcha gave us a story that pulls you in from the very beginning. You can´t escape being hooked.
I loved it! It has everything you need in a great read. It is funny. It has twist and turns. Drama. It is scorching hot. And it has a beautiful romance.
The story is beautifully written. The characters are very well developed.
It is a full package of irresistible.
Amazing. I highly highly recommend this series.

>>>ARC received in exchange for an honest review<<<
Loved the first part, hated the second and definitely won't read the third. It has been a couple of months since I have read A Taste of You, but I wouldn't have continued had the heroine been that annoying as in this instalment. The Epicurean uses all the typical Shades of Grey ingredients sans the kink which is totally fine with me, as long as I don't want to strangle the heroine. In this book she has turned into a childish, sometimes egoistical person who behaves more often than not unreasonable and makes me seriously question why the hero ever fell in love with her. D-
Oh lord! My thoughts are all over the place with this series. I do enjoy the story, but there are just things that are getting on my nerves reading it. This is just me though. And gawd!! That heroine was really trying my patience. She comes off so whiny and childlike that it is hard to feel sorry for her, which by the way, I don't. I love the steaminess and one of my favorite things is pairing food with sensuality and she does that flawlessly. I love the mystery aspect, in fact, that's the part that keeps me coming back. So, on to book three I go!
Loved it combining the love of food, the love of sex,the loss of a love one and the road taken to healing along with all those around you that support you and some times get in the way brilliant. The twisted at the end outstanding. My wonderful man kept asking me when I was going to turn the light out could not put it down. After I finished I had so many questions. A really wonderful read. Looking forward to the next installment.
Okay... Let's start by saying what a cliff hanger? I could literally scratch someone's eye out to get to book three right now.
Anyway, the book was amazing and I want my very own William at home. I also love Cat but she's a little self centered and full of herself at times. They definitely had steamy chemistry and I'm a lover of food so that made it even more for me. I love Beckett because someone needed to set Cat straight when she became self absorbed about how life should be.
Honey and Handcuffs.....an erotic sushi dinner...oh where do I begin!! This is another amazing addition to this series!! After meeting William and Cat in the first book, I was so excited to get to read more about them in A Sip of You and it didn't disappoint! Absolutely cannot wait to read the next book in the series!!!! Hopefully it comes out soon!!
2.5 stars from me... Im soooo disappointed with this book. Gosh im not liking it at all. Cat is sooo annoying bitch, full insecurity dan easy like slut towards william. And william at the other hand so mysterious. Heck do you need to fuck her everytime? Meh... Sorry all the rambling, i just pissed off with this book, another cliffy (again) hope i will get better story at book 3
William, William, William...He is the absolute best. You can't help but want more from him. With his cooking and seductive ways he will have you eating out of his hands, literally! I love how the author plays with the characters of the book and make them all make sense. I hate for their love story to end.
