This is not erotic. Raped domestic violence victims who have a couple of outside sexual experiences does not translate into erotica, urban or otherwise. All the extreme, depraved violence far outweighs the scattered orgasms.

My old co-worker loves this whole "urban lit" genre and has read about a million of these shitty books. She gave me the five "best" to read and although I don't have anything against an occasionally trashy book, I have to say that based the five I've read (this being the only one I could remember) the whole Urban lit genre is entirely worthless.

With books like this (and adults who read Harry Potter) I'm a bit conflicted. Surely anything that encourages people to read is a good thing, right? Maybe not when those book lack any redeeming quality. Better to watch TV.

This story is a fiction story of a girl named Juicy from Harlem. Her life gets turned around when a big time drug dealer G makes her his girl and tells Juicy and her brother to move in with him in his big apartment. Everything is great until G cant please Juicy sexually, he wont let her out the house besides to go to school and G starts beating Juicy when she does something he doesn't like. After the 2 weeks in Hawaii Juicy spent with G's son Gino when he comes to visit, him and Juicy fall in love and decides she doesn't want to live with G and his life. She had a plan to steal some of G's money and leave with Jimmy. G finds out Gino and Juicy had sex and got mad and beat Juicy and tried to kill Gino but let him go, he also beat Jimmy but Jimmy saved the day by killing G. Juicy and Gino met up again and found G's whole fortune and left for California.

In this story there were a lot of obstacles that Juicy had to go through in order to try to run from G and try to have some fun for herself. She had to lie to sneak to a party, she had to steal a key to the big safe, she had to keep her and Gino's relationship a secret and she had to endure all of G's beatings.

This book is a cross between THE COLDEST WINTER EVER and ADDICTED. Its about a nineteen year old girl named Juicy and she is in a relationship w/this guy named Granite "G" McKay who happens to run a strip club. He hounds her and really doesn't allow her to do much. He doesnt really respect her and the way I percieved it, he controlled her through his money. "G" was the top-dog around town and everyone respected him so even if Juicy wanted to go shopping or anything of that sort watchful eyes were always lurking.....she couldnt even fantasize in peace. Juicy was virtually a prisoner in "G's" world so she went on a mission of saving/stashing money (his money) and developing a master plan to escape this monster of a man.

This is the first "Urban fiction" I have read and it is probably the worst thing I have ever laid my eyes on. There was rape, humiliation, possible incest, peeing, abuse, domestic violence etc. This was a disgusting novel. The synopsis of the story doesn't even touch the possible triggering events that occur with in this book. It's my personal opinion but I don't see how people read this book and enjoy it. Period. G was a disgusting human being so well done for portraying that but otherwise this saddens me.

Okay, okay, okay....What the heck can I say about this book? I must say that I do believe this was the first time I ever read a book from this author. I liked it. I really did. I think I spent the whole time saying Ah Heck Naw...Wouldn't have been me...I think it made me really think that people are really out there doing this type of stuff. I mean, I'm really glad I know and knew what a lot because that girl was special. My momma always told me a long time that money didn't buy you everything and this girl thought it did. Now, I didn't quite like the ending because all I kept saying was we don't believe in getting tested. It just seemed a little unreal. I'm going to have all that stuff happen to me and then I'm going to want children (sorry if it is a spoiler). But come on heck to the naw. I wouldn't even want another man on me. But after reading this book it made me think of that rapper who sang..."These are the tales the freaky tales, these are the tales..." Because they sure did tale a freaky tale..and Noire whats up with the men who are big bosses but they don't know nothing about having sex?! Really?! I noticed this theme in your novel candy licker...uh not quite feeling that whole thing. Definitely wrong if you asked me.

The sensuousness of the cover image first captured my attention. Then I read the caption that described the book as an "...urban erotic tale", and I knew the book would have characters that represented a side of black America that was rarely written about and I was intrigued.

I then glanced at the author's name "Noire", and I laughed at the author's clever play on words. Noire means "Black" in French.

Although, the book is entitled "G-Spot", it is far from a light hearted read. At times I cringed and clenched my hands at the story that Noire unfolded. Upon completion of the book two words rang in my head...well done.

It's a must read. A suspenseful page turner. My brother even read it. He finished it in one day. All I can say is Granite McKay is something else. I was standing up on my sofa reading this book. With every page I became even excited, shocked, amused and just plain out done. G-Spot is one of those you can't stop talking about. One that you recommend to everyone especially those who can keep an open mind.

Whew hunny my heart truly went out to Juicy Mo. Juicy Mo was just a baby caught up in some adult world that was horrific. G was the devil walking around Harlem. Nothing or nobody G touched turned out to be anything good. I’m glad that Juicy will get a small chance at happiness and growing up since her childhood and young adulthood was snatched from her. I love Gino and Juicy together... two broken souls just mended together. This book was amazing I was drawn in from beginning to end... I’m not positive if I will finish the series but I thoroughly enjoyed this book

So yet again on the advice of another i read another of these books. I have to say it was better than the last. Though i would be hard pressed to classify this anywhere near an erotic tale. Though as a tale it was truly captivating, sad, and thought provoking. It truly is a harrowing tale of what to do when most of the choices we take for granted are taken away from us. You won't be able to put it down if only to see how it all ends.

G-Spot is a good book to read. Its about a girl named Juicy knew a big time drug dealer from around her way when she only 14 yrs old. When her grandmother died when she was 17 her life changed. It was a lot of betrayal, killing and drama.
The book is called G-Spot because a big time drug dealer named G owned a club and everybody knew who he was and what is was about. He took in Juicy and her little brother in. After awhile he brought his son back to New York and that’s when the betrayal started. Juicy started to mess with G's son and it got out of control.
Another reason why I like the book is because of the killing. In the middle of the book Juicy's brother killed G and then he shot his self on the count of G had set him up n nearly beat him to death. One of Juicy's friends also died because he put out a hit on her.
Finally G-Spot I loved the book because of the drama. G would beat Juicy up if she would come in the house late. He would also stop her from having friends and talking to people. One time he beat her up in front of his son and her brother. The drama was real crazy.
I really enjoyed G-Spot. It makes you want to read it again or if it was a part to read that one. It had a lot of betrayal, killing and drama. You should really pick up this book; you will enjoy it like I did.

I liked this book but it also irritated me. Unfortunately, I felt like Juicy was her own worst enemy. Yes G was abusive and controlling and she was afraid of him but come on you sleep with his son! In his house! She let another guy feel her up in his club! Sorry but I just didn't connect with the characters because they all had unlikeable traits.

G was just a plain no good rotten guy.

Juicy seemed more interested in money, sex and nice things than being treated right.

Gino obviously had no love for his dad but dang he was still his dad, for him to sleep with his woman was just wrong.

In any rate it was a good read and I wouldn't mind reading another book by this author.

From the drug dealing, brutal beating and killing falling n and out of love. I love every single part of the book, which is called G-Spot. You know how people say they loved the book but some parts was corny no but this book from the beginning to the end of the story I just couldn’t put it down. G made me fall in love with this book. I can mad one minute then happy the other in disbelief of what just happened. The main character, G traits and the love&brake up.

G was one of the main characters of this book. He is filthy rich! Lives in a condo with maids and guards to protect him. He runs Harlem! Many fear him that’s why they never cross him. G has many men working for him through drug trade day and night. That’s not his only way he received his income. Owns a strip club! Only the finest male and female strippers that works there. You can find all of the famous people or just somebody who had money could be found there.

G is so over protective! Were ever he goes you would see his women Juicy on his shoulder. On the other hand he’s also abusive. Juicy attended college and took up dance when the time came for the dance recital G came to watch. Juicy had a duo He was very mad and jealous because his women Juicy was dancing with a guy and stated “I’m paying all this money for you to be grinding all up this nigga you can work in the strip club.” He made Juicy change her major and when he got time he beat her until she started to bleed. One time he took off his belt and beat her until purple whips appeared all over her body. He was smart though all the times he bet her a scratch could have never saw light because it would easily get covered with her fancy expensive clothes he proved for her.

G was married once in he’s lifetime to a beautiful patrician women. Had a son named Gino by her and all. She was living her life like it was fairy tale. But one day she just up and disappeared. Many said G killed her and duped her body where nobody could find her like there was some one looking for her. Sent his son Gino off to school all the way in California and went on with his life. Years later Gino came back to live with his father so he could make a career off what his father did but else where. During that time he found something he wasn’t looking for love. He fall in love with a women he shouldn’t have been looking at in that type of way. In the end they were together but they both had to go through hell first. From the brutal beating by her man, raping, her brother getting killed and their life being threatened. Gino and Juicy both saw the light at the end of the tunnel.

Zane wrote a good book. This is one most favorite book out of the many I’ve read. I read G-Spot a total of three times and that’s pretty unusual for me. I think if it wasn’t for G and his ways from the love and brake ups this book would have been really corny. Don’t you think?

Goodreads doesn't do "half" and "quarters" so let me clarify that I am giving this book three and a half stars and let me tell you why.

The story was good. Adrenaline pumped is guaranteed but the writing is one step above bad. For example, the whole book is written from the voice of Juicy, the protagonist, who speaks like she is Harlem hood: her grammar is terrible at times and curses just as a well as a sailor. Nothing is wrong with that, except for those moments when that voice is lost all because she says "nigger" instead of "niggah"-which she did switch countless times in the book, which made it seem like she couldn't make up her mind. And the moments when she says "grandmother" which not even many proper speaking people say. Seriously, after getting to know the voice in this book, it is seriously distracting to hear her go from street talk to saying words like that in their proper term. I am all for writing how the person speaks and I try not to let bad writing get in the way of a good story, but it was just too hard not to notice. Like a big pink elephant in the room.

Also, while I did like the story, I felt like it should have came with a warning. It would ruin some surprise, maybe, but let me just say closer towards the end of the book, I could have care less about the erotica that happened before or the romance--which was so watered down, btw, it was easy not to care. At one point, it stopped becoming an "erotic tale" and just became some fucked up story.

Guys, this book is most definitely not for the faint hearted and while I see this is drug business book, I didn't see the need to go all out like Noire did. There is a fine line between "raw" and "overkill", and this in my opinion, was overkill. Some of the sex was okay, some pretty hot, but at the same time you're scared for Juicy for reasons you will very quickly understand. So that gets in the way, like, ALOT.

I liked Juicy, because she was severely flawed in a very realistic way. She had her smart moments, but still she makes you ask questions and that's a well built character.

Other than this book being not what I would call well-written and a bit too hardcore, it was still entertaining and emotion provoking. One thumb up.

"G-Spot: An Urban Erotic Tale" by Noire has definitely got your number...too hot to handle and too cold to hold, I could hardly put this book down as I was so caught up...Juicy, who this story is centers around, is thirsty. Thirsty for attention, love, lust and some good ol' fashion sex. She wants to get all her fantasies filled, completed and then some, but quickly realizes that this won't happen with her boyfriend, Granite McKay.
Moreover, having grown up with a mom who was a prostitute and a crackhead, and who tried to trade her own daughter so that she could live, Juicy was not used to the finer things in life. In fact, if it hadn't been for her grandmother, Juicy and her brother, Jimmy, would have been homeless. When their grandmother dies, she entrusts them into the hands of Granite McKay, better know as "G" on the streets. He takes them in, takes care of them, buys them all the best things that money can buy, but this care comes at a price...a price that Juicy pays dearly for...especially in the end...because she can't just sit down and wait around for "G" to sex her whenever he feels like it. She has to go out and get hers, she has to find someone to reach her g-spot.
"G-Spot" had a love/hate relationship. I liked Juicy's character, was digging what she was about and wanted to do with her life. But, I found myself ready to diss her because I felt like she could've tried harder to get away from "G" and the abuse that he was dishing on her. But, then again, she was only 19-years old. Maybe she didn't think she had a lot of chances out there. I totally hated "G." He was an original street gangster. Ruthless, and didn't take nothing. Still, he could have been a little light on Juicy.
I give it 4 stars.

This is my very first Noire book.

Juicy is the woman of the most influential man in Harlem. She lives in a posh apartment, wears the best clothes and is absolutely miserable. Like every other 19 year old she wants to get her freak on. However, her sugar daddy thinks most of the act of procreation is disgusting. What's a girl to do?

Noire creates urban characters that ring true to the streets without being an overwrought stereotype. The tale was just like the main character, Juicy. It was sweet tale of innocence lost. A tale of a girl coming into her womanhood and then the tale of how that woman got strong enough to change her life.

Now that I have waxed about the literary greatness of the novel, I can talk about it being an erotic tale. When Noire brought the heat, it was hot. I suggest keeping a fan nearby. The scenes were erotic without being smutty. They developed just like the main character and kept in line with the flow of the story.

My next Noire read is Candylicker.

First book I read by Noire after reading this book I can't wait to read Thug-A-Licious and Candy Licker. Juicy and her brother was being taken care of by there grandmother after there ho-mother was killed. They grandmother died and a man name Granite better known as G was very well known in the hood for his G-Spot club, and dope selling but, no one step on his back. G took Juicy in as his girl and everyone knew not to touch G's woman. Juicy thought she was going to have it all with G the money and sex but, only thing she got was the money but, he control the sex wasn't all like she thought and he also was cold-hearted beating Juicy everytime she step out of line. Juicy and G's son Gino got they freak on big time. But, after Juicy her brother Jimmy and G's son Gino get set up by G all hell brake lose. Book was good kept me turning pages from the beginning to the end a must read have to give it up for Noire. :)

The main character in this story is 17 year old girl named Juicy. She meets a drug dealer name Gino B.K.A "G" who is twice her age. Throughout the book he beats her and degrades her, but towards the end he is defeated.

The theme of the book is domestic violence, and the denial of a bad situation.

I can relate this book to present day America even though it is urban fiction. I can do this because it is apparent that we have a problem with drugs. Growing up in a "urban" setting you are exposed to drugs, and they are a issue that is not being solved fast enough and ultimately can and will be the downfall if America.

I loved this book. I can relate to it because I have had problems with family memebers in my family and drugs. I know the problem it can be. I loved the suspense of the book, too.

Lol... I still I normally dont read Urban Fiction/Erotica but one of my coworkers at the Bookstore opened this book, read the first paragraph to everyone.. aand I HAD to read it... you cant not read a book when what you read not only sounds good but has you saying.. WTF??? I liked it.. I would actually give it a 3 1/2 stars.. it wasnt bad, just not what I usually read.
