Danger is closing in. The stars are calling. And young Jacob Manford is restless. He's tried settling into life as a Seer, but he hasn't forgotten the ghostly boy who told him about a new colony—a colony for those who were once blind but can now see. A place for people like Jacob.

Soon Jacob buys passage on a cargo ship hurtling toward distant planets. But strange events along the way worry him. Is he moving toward a new life and a new sense of peace? Or is he simply bringing trouble with him?

In this thrilling conclusion to the Truesight Trilogy, new powers awaken within Jacob, while all of the forces that have threatened his past join together in an attempt to destroy his future.

Other space was the third book to the true sight series, and I would give the book a 5 out of 5 rating. I gave the book this rating because as soon as on problem was fixed another problem occurred and you never knew who to trust in the book because they were always turning on each other. I also liked how the author pulled you in because you would think that the main character Jacob was stranded and left alone but then someone would show up and help him. I would recommend this book to 5 grade and older because some of the vocab is hard to understand. I would recommend this book only if you read the first two because if you don't read the first two then you will be very lost and you will not understand some of the things that he does and why he does it. The main character is Jacob and he has a dream/vision of people that have gotten there sight back and he has to travel to a different planet to meet them. On the way two the different world they have to make a stop because there ship is malfunctioning. Also he had to leave his family behind so he can find the people he is like and when he arrives he will learn to do some things he never knew he could do.

And this is where the Truesight trilogy gets waaaay too sci-fi. I mean, it already is a sci-fi book, but now it involves too much Star Wars-ish stuff. It's okay. I mean, I didn't hate it. I just didn't like the shift to the sci-fi extreme. 3/5

I picked up the first book in these series at the library for 25¢. It looked really weird, but I gave it a try. It turns out that this was a really good sci-fi series, and the awesome writing of David Stahler Jr. carried me all the way to the last book!

At the beginning of this book, it may feel a little bland, but don’t let that fool you. This book, like the other two in the series, was excellent in many respects. Okay, just being truthful, I liked this book because *ahem* there were a lot of explosions. Like seriously, WHO DOESN’T LIKE EXPLOSIONS (except for people who don’t like explosions)?!! But for real this was a good book. More traveling the universe at the beginning/middle part, and most of the second half of the book takes place on the strange world of Teiresias, whose day is as long as its year (it’s rotation about its axis takes the same amount of time it takes to circle it’s sun), so there is a defined “light” side and “dark” side. In this way the world is so much more mysterious, because they go from the hugely populated light side, past the terminator, and into the dark side, where the unknown lies. The abomination’s base for a long time has been on the dark side, where no one ever goes. That is, until Jacob comes. People have been following him...

This was an amazing book and I wholly recommend it to those who love action-packed books that at times make no sense. I would however, suggest you read the other two books in the series first, because I don’t think this book would work well as a stand-alone book.

Love this series. Surprised by how things ended up for Jacob, but even so, I thoroughly enjoyed this series.

At first a solid continuation of the previous story, by the end I had to conclude that it had jumped the shark.

This third book of the Truesight trilogy will take our Jacob and send it in an adventure in space, trying to find people like him, people who were born blinders and then started to see, and so fled their blinders community to try find a place to fit in. Jacob met Sanders, a sort of father figure for him, who is guiding him in this great adventure that is teenager hood. Jacob finally found and freed Delaney, and is now ready to set foot on a spaceship, under the wing of a captain who seem not to care about him, but it turns out he cares about him deeply, like a son.
It's interesting to see how, all throughout the trilogy, Jacob finds different father figures who guide him and help him grow and find his place in space!
I'm not a sci-fi reader typically, and this is the first sci-fi books I read, but I can tell you that I was hooked since book 1!

A great ending to a wonderful trilogy. Lots of engaging characters and Jacob finds the place and people he has been drawn to in his visions after a long and arduous journey. Although this isn't the end of Jacob's adventures as he brings his people to a new safe world. He finally discovers where he belongs and what he needs to do. And although it's not spelled out, just Jacob's vision of himself returning to Xander and Delaney as a man, you know Jacob will see the people he's grown to love again. The descriptions of space travel were fantastic coupled with suspense and an unexpected twist at the end. Enjoyed it very much.

OTHERSPACE is the third and final title in the trilogy. You don't have to read the two books before it to understand this one, but it may help reduce any confusion if you check out TRUESIGHT and THE SEER first.

In this story, Jacob travels across the galaxy to find the boy in his dreams. Throughout this book he learns more about his talents and who he is as a person.

With unending twists and turns, OTHERSPACE is a highly enjoyable book.

I would recommend it to anyone who likes science fiction, fantasy, or futuristic stories.

I enjoyed the Truesight trilogy but I think the ending was a little off. The whole journey that Jacob went through to find out who he is and what he can do was very thrilling and interesting but I feel like I was left with so many unanswered questions: What happened on the new planet? What about Delaney and Xander? How does Jacob do with his new powers? ETC. Other than that I was really pleased with the series, it brought a lot of moral and ethical questions to the forefront and really made me think. Good series for anyone who likes Enders Game and/or The Giver.

I found this title to be a quick enjoyable read, good for sort of middle grade readers, but enough of interest to discuss as a piece of dystopian literature at a higher level. Examining a puritanical group who chooses to produce blind children, the book follows out the experiment in a realistic way. The book is a little short to investigate both the pluses and minus of such a utopian commune, so it seems a little bit biased against the community, focusing on the main character

Both the best and the last book of the Truesight Trilogy, Otherspace really wraps up everything to do with the series. While some may dislike for reasons like how it's set more in space than the other books, or how it has the main character being the only character from the previous books to appear again, I think the direction that Mister Stahler took with this series in its final installment was well-decided. I've read it 3 times already and I can't get enough of it.

Very entertaining to the end. Usually I feel a let down with the ending of a trilogy, but I thought this series ended well, and it kept its suspense to the very end which I appreciated. This one of the 3 was definitely the most in the realm of science fiction, but I didn't mind (it's not usually my favorite genre). It was a great series.

Book 1 was definitely my favorite of this trilogy. Glad I read them for the whole story, though. Jacob finally discovers his talent and the Seers will be safe from persecution. Star travel through the wormholes was an interesting side to this story! Very creative s.f.

It got too much into sci-fi for me. I lost some of the enthusiasm for the storyline. I did not finish the title. I plan to come back to this title later.
