They were supposed to be a one-night stand, and then a weekend fling… a just-for-this-season affair… soulmates.

When Chip met Jai during All-Stars weekend, their hookup should’ve ended there. At the time, it was no big deal. As the assistant coach for the Phoenix Ice Rays, Chip can’t be in a relationship with a player from his team. Lucky for him, Jai plays for the Red Zones. That is, until the Red Zones make a surprise trade.

Jai has the perfect relationship with Chip. He’s more than ready to keep their relationship a secret if it means holding on to this man he can’t resist. But when a dogged reporter takes some undeniably personal pictures of them, Jai has to choose between the man and the career of his dreams.

“He wrecked me. I caught feelings. Now, he says I was never a part of his plan. I’m no man’s mistake.”

When the rules are enforced, Chip gives up everything for Jai, even the man himself. What Chip doesn’t anticipate is how far Jai will go to win him back. When this unstoppable force of nature meets an unmovable man, they’ll both go up in flames.

After a series of misses with this series and then giving up all together, I wanted to give this one a shot since trusted GR friends were enjoying it. I'm glad I did! Unlike several other books in the series, this one had a big heart and oodles of romance. With hox sex, of course!

This was deliciously sexy. It's about the affair between Jai and Chip that started as a long distance relationship and then became a same team forbidden secret romance. The thing is, their love only got stronger. The drama that ensued was just enough to put things in their proper place.
And, oh my, what happened there close to the end was unexpected...group therapy😉😂🙃This was fun.

🙈Not gonna lie, I have a phobia of high balconies and was squirming and skimming through the 9th floor balcony scene... 😵‍💫🤢

I love this series, and this instalment was HOT! I wasn't sure that I would be interested in Chip's story, but I should've known better!

What I really like about this series is that each of the characters is different. I don't feel as though they all blend into each other, which is what often happens with long series. Also, while the series features M/m relationships, that becomes irrelevant in my mind as I read and fall in love with the characters as they examine themselves, navigate relationships and find their HEA's.

While this book is short, don't assume that the characters will be one-dimensional. There is quite a bit of character development for the length of the book.

It's no surprise that this series is a guilty pleasure for me but I LOVED this one! I usually rate these books at a three star because they are nothing spectacular but I just cannot get enough. Jai and Chip though? Amazing!!

This will be the last that I waste my money on this author. Too many time jumps. Too little actually seeing the characters together. Plus errors and finally a cliff hanger of sorts to end a too short book. Done with this author.

Not as good as the last book, but still a fun weekend read. Jai and Chip meet by chance and start a long-distance romance that is hot and intense. But circumstances throw them together and life gets even more difficult. Yeah, it's predictable, but it's still a good story with great characters. A little voyeurism and lite BDSM are always fun when mixed with hockey!

HOT!!!

A great story with lots steam. I'm amazed my fire didn't smoke. And we got to see a bit of a previous couple who know how to turn it up even higher.

Just as good as the others. I’m a big fan of these short reads / Audios.

Highly recommend. On to the next.

Chip and Jai. Ok, I’ll confess that I never though a character named Chip could be sexy. I was wrong. These two are so good together.

Bought as part of audible escape package.

Enforce is book seven in the Hard Hit series

I enjoyed this one. There were elements that could have flowed better. But it is a short read and some things are expected to be glossed over

This series is quick and easy reading. Emotionally charged at times, full of hot sexy hockey players and in this one an asst. coach. With a little kink thrown in for fun. Well worth the read.

This series is becoming a little too redundant. It's pretty much the same story with different characters and only slight changes is story line. I will be reading the last 2 that are currently out as I purchased already but won't be investing anymore time with this author unfortunately. It's just not worth it anymore sadly.

Quick hot read, but a shorter blip in this series.

Title: Enforce
Author: Charity Parkerson
Series: Hard Hit
Genre: M/M Contemporary Romance

Main Characters :

Chip is the assistant coach for the Ice Rays professional hockey team. He’s always loved hockey but an injury has kept him off the ice. He is openly gay and refuses to hide himself, mostly because of a failed marriage where he tried to do just that and it ended with his family disowning him.

Jai is a professional hockey player with nothing else in his life besides hockey. He lives and breathes it, and he finally has his shot in the pros thanks to Kieran.

Plot/Conflict:

Chip and Jai meet by chance in a bar one night, and have what they thought would be an amazing one night stand. But the connection went far beyond that, and turned into them meeting up whenever they were in the same region. Just when things are starting to look serious, Jai gets traded to Chip’s team, and regulations mean they have to stop seeing each other. Neither of them are ready to let a good thing go, but the secret may kill their relationship or their careers… or both.

Loves:

I loved the kink aspect in this book, since it was well done and centered on one particular fetish . It isn’t one you see often even in kinkier novels.

Likes:

It was quick and moved along well with minimal drama, no jealousy.

Peeves:

The characters themselves weren’t very fleshed out, I am assuming just due to length. But there was a lot of issues with Jai, particularly his self-esteem, self-worth, etc. that could have used some background development to justify.

Favorite Quote:
“On the ice, you’re my coach and nothing more. I’m no one special. Just another player at your disposal.” Against his will, Jai’s voice hardened. “In private, you’re mine, and only mine - understood?”

“From five feet away I could feel the heat rolling off your skin…smell your cologne…taste your fire…I’ve never wanted anything in my life as badly as I did you….it’s like I wished you into existence and I can’t let go.”

Oh so many feels in this story! Charity Parkerson’s Hard Hit series is like munching on a bag of potato chips…once you read one, you just can’t stop!! Chip and Jai’s story is one of soulmates recognizing each other from across the room…and doing whatever it takes to be together. But a turn of events forces Chip to choose between his long time love and career with hockey, or his love for Jai.

Again, I will stress the need to read this series in order. These are not stand alone stories!

Highly recommend!

Another hot hit in this hockey series

I love the loose interconnected nature of these stories and I love reading about alpha males and their chosen partners.

This one is another of the better books in the Hard Hit series with Chip and Jai steaming up things as their once perfect relationship has to go underground when they end up at the same club.

It had one of the best opening lines I've read for a while which made me laugh but it also had a weird kink bit with two of the characters from an earlier book which seemed a bit out of place and it came out of nowhere.

Still I'm continuing to enjoy all of these hockey guys so will be looking forward to the next one in August.

Good short stories

This book falls into a series of M/M genre books involving hot and sexy hockey players. This is Jai and Chips story. Chip is the assistant coach for a Phoenix hockey team and Jai plays for a team in New York. They meet and hook up for a one night stand that turns into many more times. Everything is going well until Jai is traded to Phoenix and means Jai is off limits to Chip. Grab this story and see how these guys will navigate the storm headed there way.

Excellent

This is one of my favorite series to read, and definitely the best hockey romances even though they are short. I wish that we could have seen more about Jai's insecurities and why he felt that he was unworthy of Chip, but other than that, this was an excellent addition to the Hard Hit world.

Even though you see the agony coming and know pretty much exactly how it'll happen (it really wasn't a surprise at all), you've still been so happy that it crushes your joy.
Sometimes those happy couples come off as boring or intolerable. Not here. Here, you travel the tightrope with the couple. You are the couple. Just the way I like it.

Hop on the angst train and hold on tight because this is one hell of a ride. A good ride that eventually lands at the station (sort of) but an emotional up and down one - and one that's hot as hell - just the way I like 'em.

Liked this story but ended to abruptly ft tv

Chip and Jai's story was good but it ended in my view to abruptly. I would have preferred the story to continue with Chip and Jai decision to coach together .

My heart broke

What Jai and Chip feel for each other is so deep and touching. I felt dragged in and consumed by their love. Couldn't put the book down and I didn't even get my morning coffee yet...it's already after 1:30 in the afternoon.
