This is my son's (9) review:

This book has lots of tips about how to survive in Minecraft. It also tells you things you need to do things in the game, like going to places that are dangerous. The cover is pretty plain. The pictures in the book are ok, but they are not in color so you can’t tell what blocks to use in the crafting recipes. That’s a bit of a problem.

I really like the whole book because it had lots of good information. The only problem is that it seems like they expect you to have a lot of every material. I think the book is for more advanced players.

I learned a few new things though: 1.how to craft a lot of things; 2.how to build a well-defended base; and 3.how to kill strong mobs.

Overall, I thought it was a really good book. I think just about everybody who plays Minecraft would like this book, but especially those who have been playing for a while.

Sure, this book was a little outdated when I read it, but it has a lot of great tips on how to Minecraft. I especially like the one when it says you can just pile two (sometimes three) blocks above the hostile mobs and defeat them that way. Believe it or not, this never even occurred to me.

Gewoon echt heel handig als je een complete noob bent :) . Ik heb hem in het Nederlands gelezen, dus nu ga ik mijn spel ook in het Nederlands zetten. De plaatjes zijn duidelijk en herkenbaar. Ook wat leuker neergezet dan dat het er in het echt uitziet.

Even for a seasoned player, you can find all sorts of tips or even reminders on the game.

Nice and easy to read and understand, no matter the age. Definitely a good read for anyone interested in Minecraft, new and old.

I really enjoyed this book because it added some form of lore to Minecraft and I always wanted to read more lore within Minecraft.
This book is really good for those who enjoy Minecraft and good if you want to have tips for survival it's filled with information about how to survive it explains it in excellent detail.
Minecraft the survivor's book of secrets explains the pros and cons of specific bases or situations and I personally enjoyed it and it taught me a lot of useful information.

Minecraft the Survivor's book of secrets is really good and useful for those who are just beginning playing Minecraft so yeah read the book if you want.

I was sent this book from Penguin Random House in exchange for an honest review. Anyone who has ever played Minecraft in survivor mode, knows how quickly the enemies can turn your world upside down. This pocket sized book is filled with new survival strategies. I know my elementary school Minecrafters will never let this book stay on the shelf. My only concern as a librarian is the size. This book is smaller than the previous official Minecraft books and definitely designed to fit in pockets.

This is a fantastic resource for the art of combat in Minecraft. Players on a server or those who play in Survival mode and explore other worlds will really benefit from the book. There's even some secret crafting formulas and design tips for shelters. I just wish the book was physically bigger.

Possibly the second-best guidebook I own (and I own a lot). This guidebook meshes lesser-known tips for Survival with a neat story and awesome art, and it's small size and personal notes pages in the back make it great for travel!
