This was a very cute read through!

I have not seen the movie but now I really want to as I'm interested to see how the film matches up to the scenes in my mind as I listened.

Great story of hope, strength, endurance, determination, and above all else, the love of family and friends.

Way to much drama for such a short book, and impossible to follow if you haven’t seen the movie, as there aren’t enough illustrations of all the dramatic events. I’m glad I didn’t see this at the cinema, I’m emotionally drained just from reading this ‘junior novelisation’.

Jujur aku capek membaca buku ini, rasanya mereka selalu kejar kejaran dan saling mencari. Saat mendekati akhir pun masih terus berputar-putar hingga terkesan hopeless. Lalu aku bertanya-tanya banyak hal disini, seperti bagaimana ikan dapat membaca tulisan? Bagaimana gurita dapat mengemudikan mobil? Bagaimana Dory yg pelupa dapat membantu Hank mengemudikan mobil? Dan banyak lagi. Tapi yauda lah ya, kan ini buku anak-anak, mungkin aku aja yg overthinking. Btw, aku belum nonton animasinya, karena yaa kurang tertarik.

pinjam-baca koleksi Perpusnas

"Itulah gunanya insting, Nemo.

--pg.121 #FindingDory_Novel

"Apa hebatnya rencana? Aku tak pernah punya rencana. Apakah aku berencana kehilangan orangtuaku? ...karena hal terbaik terjadi tanpa disengaja, karena itulah kehidupan."

My Slightly Sarcastic But Ultimately Honest Book Rating System:

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (5 Stars): This book achieved legendary status in my personal library. I will likely reread it until the pages fall out (or my e-reader spontaneously combusts). Consider this my enthusiastic endorsement – you should probably read it unless you actively dislike joy.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (4 Stars): A truly excellent read! I enjoyed it immensely and would heartily recommend it to fellow bookworms. You might even catch me subtly pushing it into their hands.
⭐️⭐️⭐️ (3 Stars): Yep, it was a book I read. I turned the pages, absorbed the words, and emerged...unchanged. It was a pleasant enough journey, like a scenic detour that you wouldn't necessarily take again, but didn't regret.
⭐️⭐️ (2 Stars): This book existed. I finished it. That's about the highest praise I can offer. If you're looking for something truly captivating, maybe keep scrolling. This one's more of a "it filled the silence" kind of experience.
⭐️ (1 Star): Oh dear. This book and I did not get along. It was a literary tumbleweed in the vast desert of good books. Consider this a strong "do not recommend," unless you're conducting research on what not to do in storytelling.

Disclaimer: My enjoyment of the narrator is based on my listening speed. I only leave 5 stars for books I've read/listened to or will read/listen to multiple times. If you like this review please consider giving it a Helpful Vote below.

The book takes the plot of the movie and does not add to it in any way. You are better off just watching the movie. Too many uses of words that don't work for the ocean. For example "Nemo fell off Crushes shell." You are falling in the ocean. No it should have said that "Nemo slid off Crushes shell." No extra exposition to help place you in the world the book is taking place in. If you have not seen the movie this book would be a mess to try and keep track of everything that is going on.

Over all I was kinda unimpressed.

This is a very cute story. I like how the pictures and colors pop into the story. The story is about dory going on an adventure. The story also relates to the movie of dory. Whichever fish that dory is by shows the perspective of how big or small they are against her, and I feel like that is important. One example is a whale that is huge against dory looks big on the page too. This story is a fun one for students to read if they want to read about fish or go on a small adventure.

Seeing as I practically got this for free as a Audible deal of the day, it was pretty good. Is it as good as the movie? No. It's like reading the script of a play versus seeing it performed. There's nothing here beyond the dialogue to make it a worth listening to when you could just listen to the movie.

Dory, Marlin, and Nemo go on an adventure to find Dory's parents. The story is funny but has a lot of beautiful messages about family. They're all different kind of fish but important parts of one incredible family.

I was browsing hoopla and stumbled upon the junior novelization of the upcoming Disney Pixar movie “Finding Dory”, a sequel to the 2003 film “Finding Nemo”. Now, I might be a decade or so past reading a “junior novelization”, but I am so excited for this movie that I couldn’t help it! I’m a big Disney/Pixar fan and love “Finding Nemo”, so I’ve been waiting for this sequel for a long time. If the movie is as good as the novelization was, it’ll surely be another Disney classic in no time!
The story follows the beloved and forgetful blue tang Dory as she journeys to find something she thought she forgot – her family. Along with Dory, the story brings back the original sea critters that made “Finding Nemo” so great – Marlin, the anxious clownfish; Nemo, Marlin’s son who sees the good and potential in others; and an appearance by Crush and Squirt, surfer turtles who help the fish find their way. A whole new crew is introduced too – including Hank, an octopus (or septopus, as Dory points out) whose main goal is to get to Cleveland; sunbathing sea lions; a loon who tries her best to help but can’t resist popcorn; Destiny, Dory’s old whale friend (it turns out she really can speak whale); and many more.
The original trio set off in search of Dory’s family, but Dory is soon scooped out of the water by someone with the Marine Life Institute to have a plastic ring removed from around her body. She is taken to the institute for rehabilitation and soon remembers – that was where she was born!
Navigating the institute isn’t easy, but with the help of her friends, Dory soon finds her parents, but they’re on a truck with all of the other blue tang, heading for Cleveland. Quick thinking and navigating by Hank helps Dory reunites with her family, both from the aquarium and ocean, but not without some hilarious antics first.
“Finding Dory” looks like a promising family film that will bring laughter, but also an appreciation for family and friends.

Finding Dory is an unforgettable tale about a forgetful blue tang fish called Dory. Dory suffers from short term memory loss, and she lost her family when she was very little. For those who have seen finding Nemo you all know how Marlin, Nemo and Dory end up together. Marlin and Nemo agree to help Dory find her family after Dory has sudden memories of her parents! Dory ends up at the Marine life institute, where she learns her family is. You meet a whole new range of funny characters in this book. There's Hank the "septopus" who lost a tentacle somehow, there's Bailey a beluga whale who thinks his head is big due to a head injury, there's Destiny a whale shark who is very near sighted. Hank was my favourite one, he was very patient with Dory when she was forgetting stuff. I love the camouflage he has to. This is going to be a terrific movie in theaters, i plan to see it on June 17th! Seeing how its taken 13 years to make this movie the effects of underwater life should be even clearer and better! I can't wait to see it. If your a fan of Finding Nemo and Disney movies then this is the book for you! Disney gets five stars!

in finding dory

dory sets out on a epic adventure to find her family when one day dory has a vision that her family is out in the ocean trying to find her. But one day when dory is with marlin and nemo at school she gets capture by swimmers and marlin and nemo have to go on adventure again across the sea to find dory. But as they go they meet new friends like a whale shark named destiny and a ill tempure octabus named hank. And of course dory alive parents charlie and jenny.
bBut along the way dory still forgets what shes doing and who she trying to find but she remebers in like 5 minutes.

I adored Finding Nemo, the movie and the junior novelization and can not wait for Finding Dory to come out in theaters. Until then, I thought I'd read about it because when you take a 4 year old to a movie, they have to go to the bathroom at least once! Great story and I can't wait to see the beautiful animation on screen.
