Jacob Steele's lifelong dream of becoming a vet and working with large animals began when he was a young boy on his uncle’s ranch. He’s worked hard the last few years to get the pre-requisites out of the way while working on his best friend’s ranch. He has called in every favor he could for this one chance to get into UC Davis' prestigious veterinary program. His dream is finally coming true and nothing will stop him from getting to the university—but that was before a crazy romance writer recklessly staggered into his path.
Romance is dead to Megan Kelly. That's a major problem for her, since her publisher is eagerly awaiting her next New York Times best seller romance. It's due in days, but she hasn't even started. Ever since Mr. Wrong asked for his ring back, she can't write a word to save her life, let alone, her career. To make matters worse, Jake Steele—fake cowboy extraordinaire—is far too charming for his own good and has wrangled her to distraction.
Or, could he be the inspiration she needs?
Will Jake put his lifelong dream on the line for a romance writer who doesn't believe in romance?
GOD HAS A PLAN FOR YOUR BEYOND WHAT YOU COULD EVERY IMAGINE I enjoyed this clean Christian romance story that has a cast of delightful characters, charming circumstances and several laugh out loud moments. It is a wonderful reminder that sometimes plans and dreams can change, God is always in control and sometimes all we can do is just take what we’re offered and make the best of it. Author Megan Kelly is splashed all over the news after her and Hollywood boyfriend Trevor Jackson’s breakup. Jacob Steele’s dream to be a vet faces some new battles. What starts out as butting heads, slowly changes to a friendship between Megan and Jacob, as God works in both their lives through His scriptures in Jeremiah. While trying to make sense of situations in life, Jacob is gently reminded, “Does it have to make sense? Or, is faith trusting when nothing makes sense?” Note: I read this story as part of the box set, The Love of a Cowboy. This story will read well as a standalone, but in the first book Wildflower Ranch: A Contemporary Inspirational Western Romance (Short Stories from Wildflower Ranch Book 1), many of the characters are part of that story too.
I enjoyed this book and I would like to see another book in this series. However I thought the book ended rather suddenly. I thought the ending was suitable for the chapter; but not only did it end the last chapter, it ended the book. I would like to see a book that tells what happens after Jacob Steele finishes Vet School. Also I found the blurb that was written to tell what the book was about was not totally correct. It was because of that blub and the first chapter that I read in the first book of the series that I decided to buy it. It says, that "Jake Steele-fake cowboy extraordinaire..." but in the book he is a cowboy working as ranch foreman while the sister of his best friend is away on honeymoon. I like how the romance builds between Jacob and Megan Kelly. I also like that it looks like Jake is not going to be able to realize his big dream; but then he is able to realize it in a completely different way than he had first anticipated that it would happen. I thought the characters were pretty well fleshed out as most of the characters with the exception of Megan Kelly were in the first volume of the series. This volume is in a way a continuation of what is happening in the first book and that is to get Dan and Charlie's Ranch ready to become a "Dude Ranch." A destination so that visitors can spend their vacations on a ranch. It is a wholesome read with no profanity and no sexually explicit dialogue.
Wrangled Into Love by Tina Dee is a short, sweet romance novel that is heartwarming. This is book two of the Wildflower Ranch series but it can be read as a stand alone story. Jake Steele is working as a ranch hand while waiting to attend college to be a vet. But as he states, “He knew better than to make more plans for himself than what God had in mind.” Megan Kelly is in town to work on her next novel. Their paths continue to cross unexpectedly and they become friends. I liked how they used scriptures to encourage each other. It was also an encouragement to me. I enjoyed this novel and look forward to more stories in this series.
Overtly Christian story. There's some praying and Bible verses quoted.
It's a short story. That means that character development is cut short, but we do see them get tot know each other a bit. We see through their thoughts, actions, and a little conversation that they're falling for each other. Their interactions with others, and their reactions also tells is the kind of people they are.
We don't get a full HEA, but they are on the road to one.
I received a free copy of this book through a Bookfunnel promotion and this is my voluntary and honest review. This is an enjoyable and excelllent short story about Jake and Megan and how they met and fell in love. I recommend this book to anyone who loves reading Christian clean romance. This is a new author for me and I am glad that I found her books.
Jake and Megan, two people who seems to be wrong for each other but are so right for each other. This is a fun , short sweet story with a great quote “ Faith is trusting when nothing makes sense “ Looking forward to read more of this author.
This is a truly delightful read. Well written and engaging from the beginning. The tension between Jake and Megan...will it be resolved to the satisfaction of both??? Highly recommend!!!
This is a sweet and fun story with some lively characters. I'm new to this author but both books I've read so far have me looking forward to more stories ~
Love the story of Jacob and Megan. And how when we think our lives should go a certain way, God reminds us about his plans for us and they are so much better than we could ever dream of.
