A quick read about finding your dream man. It was okay. We gets tonnes of information on the Jessi but hardly anything on the Grayson. I usually don't mind a quick read, but this one just didn't tick MY boxes, but it may be for you. It is well written and I printed out the recipe at the end!

I honestly don't know how to categorize this book because there were so many unanswered questions at the end. Was this mystical magical spell? Was there a ghost involved? Was it all in her imagination? How did what happen actually happen? It was very cheesy and too hard to believe for me. I understand the fantasy aspect obviously, but the author could have at least tried to explain the phenomenon.

I liked Jessi, but Grayson was just as mysterious as the hostess with no real character development. The whole situation was weird and I wasn't a fan.

Wow!!! I'm speechless after reading this book.
I do not know exactly what to say except it was not what I was expecting.
It was emotional.
Sexy as all hell.
It was mysterious.
Quirky at times.

It started off and I wasn't sure I was into it. It seemed a little fantasy-ish. But let me tell you I am soooo glad I stuck with it. At times I thought it was all a dream and she was gonna wake up .... but Tess Oliver really pulled this one out. It was so good.

Good read

Nice little read about Jessie who works hard and doesn’t have a social life. Something magical happens at work that takes her to a retreat where she meets a hot guy. Ends a bit abruptly with no explanation as to the mysterious web page and how the lady of the guest house knew things ahead if times.

Jessi has worked hard to achieve the vice president position at her company, but along the way she has neglected her own needs. She's given up on finding a guy, of dating. She's hasn't taking anytime for herself to just to breathe and relax. When a mysterious website pops up on her work computer asking about her dream guy, Jessi is confused, but thinks it's just someone in the office messing with her. So playing along she describes him. When fog and misguided directions, send Jessie to the middle of nowhere and to the Silk Stocking Inn, she is in for a big surprise.

She walks into the inn to discover the owner, sweet and mysterious Coco, red velvet cupcakes, good food, and everything that would include a relaxing weekend. Including the tall, dark and sexy handyman, Grayson, who resembles, Jessi's dream man. She's in for one wild weekend, especially when she embraces the smoking hot chemistry between herself and Grayson. Jessi is not ready for her weekend to end, she doesn't want to leave the inn, she's afraid that it'll just all be a dream. But it can't be, not with the man who's sharing her bed and stealing her heart.

Red Velvet is such a fun, quick and fresh story to sink your teeth into. By the end of this book, you'll be craving not only red velvet cupcakes, but a sexy man like Grayson. ;) I couldn't get enough. Tess Oliver & Anna Hart have brought us a couple who's book you'll wish you could read for the first time again and again. The attraction between them is... Wow! A sexy romance for sure. Red Velvet (Silk Stocking Inn, #1), is the first in a new series co authored by Tess Oliver and Anna Hart, and it was really a great read! I loved how the book starts out where the main character, Jessi, who has everything-a great job, a new promotion, and the respect of her peers, is on her way to celebrate with her co workers and takes a wrong turn and winds up at the Silk Stocking Inn. The first person she sees there is Coco, the owner, a mysterious type of character at best, who seems to be able to see right to the heart of Jessi and seems to know just what Jessi needs!

This is where she finds what she has been missing in her life-a hot alpha man, who is so handsome, and has deep blue eyes, and is so hot he oozes sexuality, and his thoughts are aimed at Jessi! Grayson is a handyman working for Coco that weekend, and he works on the Inn by day and can't keep his mind or hands off of Jessi at night, and she feels the same way!

At the end of the weekend, Jessi is extremely confused about what she has and what she needs, and she is hurt when she goes to leave and not only Coco is gone, but so is Grayson-or so she thinks! The funny thing is as she is hunting for The Silk Stoking Inn on the internet she can't find it, and this just about crushes her.

But she is about to get the surprise of her life at her new office on monday morning, when the repair man comes to take care of everything that has to be changed in her new space, and the book ends on a high note!

This story is about an independent woman named Jess who worked her way up the ladder at her executive job to gain the VP position at her company but she is missing something. That something is a tall dark and handsome man to dominate her in bed. It's starts off when she receives an email about the Silk Stocking Inn and someone asking questions, like what she wants from a man and her preferences. Jess believes it's a joke and someone on candid camera is going to jump and say surprise. Well later that night she winds up at the Silk Stocking Inn and Coco the owner is waiting for her making Red Velvet cupcakes. Jess decides to stay the night. During the evening she bumps into Carpenter Grayson. He is tall, dark, blue eyed handsome with rough hands. Well Grayson seduces and seduces ..finally she takes what he offers and their chemistry is off the charts. He becomes the Alpha Male she needs in the bedroom and beyond. Grayson is all Alpha and hot as hades!! They make fireworks!! So does Jess get her HEA with the sexy Grayson?? And Who is Coco? Why does she know everything about Jess?? Silk Stocking Inn is a mystery full of sweet treats, sensual atmosphere and provides their guests with the tools to get the passion they crave.

I loved this book. Red Velvet is a quick steamy romance. This is a story about Jessi who has spent her life working, rising to the top in business and missing out on everything else in life. She relies on her GPS to get her to dinner with colleagues to celebrate her promotion to VP. Experiencing heavy fog she winds up at the Silk Stocking Inn. Here she finds a mystery hostess, Coco, and a HOT handyman, Grayson. Jessi ends up spending the weekend at the Silk Stocking Inn. Her weekend is filled with unanswered questions regarding Coco and Grayson. It is also filled with erotic sex between Grayson and Jessi that is off the charts. At the end of the best weekend of her life, Jessi is left wondering if this weekend happened at all. What happened to Grayson? Jessi returns to her life with a broken heart. What happens next…well, you are just going to have to ready this delicious book to find out. You will definitely have a sweet tooth at the end of this story. The collaboration between Tess Oliver and Anna Hart is wonderful. This book will leave you wanting more Grayson and delicious treats, perhaps even a cold shower. Looking forward to the next book, Salted Caramel.

Red Velvet is a cute sexy romance that took me by surprise. I would consider the story a modern (adult only) fairytale. Jess needs rescuing for her humdrum life, but is clueless on what to do. When a pop-up shows up on her screen advertising Silk Stocking Inn she tries to ignore it. She fails.
Jess heads to a bar relying on her GPS. To bad, or maybe not so bad, the GPS directs her right into a fog bank. At the end of the road stands the Silk Stocking Inn. Her fairy godmother (Coco) greets her with her favorite Red Velvet cupcake and everything else she will need for the night including a mega hunk.
Grayson is hot, gorgeous, caring, romantic, sex god disguised as a handyman--yep definitely a fairy tale. After a fun filled, sex filled weekend Jess wakes up to an empty bed, an empty Inn. The only thing left behind is directions on how to find her way home.
With a broken heart she returns to her job as the new V.P. She moves into her new office only to be interrupted by a contractor. Even modern fairytales have a happily ever after.

What a deliciously delightful treat. Nothing better than a good story and some sweet yummy confections. Combine the two and you will definitely satisfy any readers sweet tooth.
A mystical 5 star storyline. It's like reading an adult fairy. A damsel not exactly searching finds her
knight in not so shining armor.
Just a hint of some paranormal undertones. Is it real? Did that happen? How? Who? A very intriguing and mesmerizing atmosphere.
Love and enjoyment for characters. Each one fulfills their role perfectly. So well written.
This is one escape from reality you don't want to miss. Can be read very quickly. A sweet- keeping it simply- love journey.
Shouldn't forget those HOTT scenes. Wow! So good!!! Very well written.
You definitely want to visit the Silk Stocking Inn. No luggage needed.. keep an open mind and accept the here and now. AndreaGAH

I absolutely loved The Stone Brothers collection by Tess Oliver & Anna Hart, so when I found out they were collaborating again on another series, I was quite happy. This series is called Silk Stocking Inn and each book is named after a delectable cupcake.

This first book is named Red Velvet (my absolute FAVORITE cupcake flavor!), and is centered around Jessica, an executive who just became the Vice President of the commercial real estate brokerage she works for.

Through a series of wrong turns (or are they actually correct turns? Hehe), Jessi ends up at the Silk Stocking Inn and meets the owner, Coco (love her!), who offers Jessi a place to stay for the weekend. Jessi meets Grayson, the gorgeous handyman who is helping to fix up the inn.

This is a wonderfully sweet, sexy quick read, and you won't be disappointed. Get your copy now! I'm looking forward to the next book, titled Salted Caramel.

Where can I find a magic Victorian with a gorgeous handyman? When a mysterious website pops up on Jessi's computer she finds herself intrigued and answers the prompts. We could say it was magic that sent Jessi to find the Silk Stocking Inn or it was her heart, but either way her dreams came true. Oliver went a little out of her normal writing style and gave us a pretty erotic book in the first half and the start of a steamy romance by the end. Danger and suspense wrapped around a bad boy is her "normal" style however this time Jessi lets go of her inhibitions with a stranger and finds her heart. If you need a hot and sexy read for the evening with a quick insta-lust vibe then this is perfect. Looks like this is going to be a series with Salted Caramel up next, maybe her assistant Cara. As part of Oliver's review team I received an early release copy.

I'm a huge fan of Tess Oliver, and this collaboration she's done with Anna Hart is a superb intro to a new series.

From the beginning I kept think "Uh, this is interesting" or "uh, this is different way to go". Totally love the twists on this mysterious fantasy love story.

Shows everyone deserves to have their cupcake and eat it to ;) ... so what's your favourite cupcake?! **smirk**

Only downer I would have liked to know more about Grayson the Silk Stocking Inn's handyman, majorly mysterious!!

I liked Grayson's sense of humor, "he laughed. “So, I’m really just a sex object in work boots, huh?” I opened my mouth to apologize. “No, that’s all right,” he said. “I kind of like that.” Grayson is a burly man and I loved his accent, “I’m the real deal, darlin’, but in case you need some solid proof —” He pulled me into his arms. His mouth covered mine, and I melted against him as he kissed me long and hard." I really enjoyed this book it was short, but hot.

I absolutely loved this steamy short story. I couldn't put it down. You will fall in love with the characters. Jessi is smart, sassy independent woman that ready to let go of some of her control. Grayson is hot and sexy. The chemistry between Grayson and Jessi is off the charts hot and steamy. I love the banter between Grayson and Jessi. Tess and Anna did an amazing job! This story will not disappoint.
