A Wicked Devotion: A Dark Romantic Thriller

Rate this book
Rian has vanished, Masie’s run away, and much to his dismay, Xander is helpless to control any of it.
Maisie and Xander are left standing atop the rubble of a relationship that ended before it could start. He knows Maisie is in desperate trouble yet she refuses to take his help. Even after revealing his darkest secret about the mysterious Rachel, he fears he’s caused too much pain to ever win Maisie back. The harder he pushes, the further she runs…

Maisie learns the truth behind the growing conflict with the incubus clans. She questions everything Damon, Xander, and Rian led her to believe. A more modest trip to New York City to meet the succubus Matriarch brings answers, and the promise of a new life. Stronger, confident, Maisie is taking back her control… whether the men in her life understand or not.

Lilin suspects Maisie’s ties to the Kael family, setting increasingly difficult tasks to prove her loyalty. A final test of her devotion will shape the future for all the clans. Which path will she choose? How much will she have to sacrifice to take back her life once again? And who will be at her side if she succeeds?

Darkly erotic, A Wicked Devotion is the third and final installment in the Kael Family Trilogy. ***WARNING*** This story contains sexual scenes that might cause emotional distress for some readers. For adults 18+.

Wonderful third installment

This author kept me on my toes! Just when I thought I had an idea where she was headed, BAM, twist I didn't expect. I loved every minute of it too. I wanted to yell at Masie, Xander, and everyone in between at times. Then others I wanted to do a happy dance.
I didn't always think Masie would make it as the female lead but she became my favorite heroine. She has such a humanity and emotional struggle that you can relate to. Her reactions and reasoning kept me guessing if she would rise above, live, or be a sacrifice.
Xander definitely came into his own I think. I feel like he grew and learned finally about trust and control and what not to do with matters of the heart.
I definitely want more Rain! I would love to know his side while he was hostage and how he faired after the end of it all.
I don't want to give it away with spoilers but this trilogy is a definite must read. It is one of my fave paranormal romances.

Yay

This story was great. Kinda wished she was with Rian but hey I'm happy it worked out. King and queen is a great ending. Shocked about xander mom thing. Wasn't expecting that at all.

I loved it! Really, really loved it.
I read it a few hours and was totally hooked.

My only disappointment was that there was no resolution between Rian and Maisie. The last scene they had alone together he professed his love for her, but then she ended up with Xander without ever acknowledging what happened with Rian.

Rian was absent for most of the book, but I feel that was more out of the author's hesitation/reluctance to wrap up things with him and Maisie.

I wish that Maisie's transformation had actually appeared to the reader. Not just a nothing description after the fact.

I really hope Rian gets his own book or series :-D

Rian

Am I the only one who wanted her to end up with Rian?? Xander really lost it for me in the last book. Ugh.

This is Book 3 (Vol.3) in the Wicked series by T.S. Huxley. I've got to say if you've never read a paranormal romance type book before this series is a good place to start (start with book 1). Maisy is the leading female character and is built up as a strong, smart, not your girl next door character. She deals with 2 lead male characters who happen to be brothers. In this book we find out who she will chose as the one she identifies with the most. (Will it be Rain or Xander? -- each featured in the previous books). I love Huxley's writing style, very descriptive giving you a real visual with the story line. There is a lot of twists and turns in the story making you want to keep your book with in arms length at all times.

Just the right amount of depravity! I absolutely love this amazing and unique series. I was so invested in the characters and was dying to find out what happened after the cliffhanger of book 2. This one definitely did not disappoint! We get more of Xander in this one than we did in book 2, and let's be honest….more of either of the Kael brothers is always a good thing! In this book, Maisie has finally started to find herself and to take control of her own life. She is stronger than ever and has stopped relying on other people to make decisions for her. Five sexy and sizzling stars!

Offering to read the ARC of this book was an easy decision......you just knew it would be as good as the previous two.

The Kael brothers are amazing and Maisie is a strong female lead. The books are brilliant and all lead faultlessly to a great ending.

Ending??? NO I NEED MORE!!

A must read trilogy and a definite for the 'to read again' list.

After a wicked decision I was desperate to read the conclusion to this series and what an ending. This is gripping! Suspenseful! Edge of the seat stuff! Xander is remorseful, Maisie is trying to make sense of her new life, but what has happened to Rian? He is missing, but where? Secrets, plots and vengeance. This story has it all. A fantastic book with a great ending.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!!

I loved this trilogy, but this last book was totally amazing. I don't know where the author gets her ideas but this book was non stop drama and action. There wasn't a slow page that would allow me to put it down. I hope to read more of the Kael brothers and Maizie and friends.

I liked this story, I got the first in the series as a freebie and liked it enough that I wanted to find out what happened to Xander, Rian and Maisie, so I bought the last two books.

It was a bit of a roller coaster ride and a lot of on again, off again feelings between the characters. The plot twists were so interesting and there was so much potential for this story to be epic, but in the end, I was mildly disappointed. While the epilogue gave us the coveted HEA, the big finale felt too rushed and left some open plot line questions.

It was a pleasant read, but it didn't WOW me.
