Definitely pick this up when you are reading Pilgrim's Progress. The questions are more reciting information (vs critical thinking) which can be useful in just remembering what you've read.

But the summary and application--completely worth your time.

Great companion book to 1st part of Pilgrim's Progress. Provided a lot of context & background & synopsis to parts of the story. Questions helped stay engaged with story (helped pull out additional information from story & reinforce themes).

This book does a great job assisting the reader through the themes and concepts of Pilgrim's Progress, John Bunyan's timeless allegorical masterpiece. Each chapter has questions for study and further reflection and then a summary section with applications. Bradley frequently quotes from other Bunyan works, previous Bunyan commentators including George Cheever, Thomas Scott, Charles Spurgeon, John Gulliver and Alexander Whyte. While you don't NEED a study guide to read Pilgrim's Progress, it certainly can be helpful, and this is a good one to start with, though next time I think I might go right to some of the works on Pilgrim's Progress by the commentators mentioned above.

This book was a good jumping off point for studying "Pilgrim's Progress." We studied it in our women's Bible study at church and it led to a lot of good discussion. However, I wish that she had addressed the Scripture references and truths more in the study guide. The questions were more simply asking what happened, what the characters were like, etc. and then the leader had to dig deeper to bring out the scripture. However, her commentary at the end of each chapter was excellent and very beneficial.

A helpful tool for use in a group reading of the book. Some of the questions are a little obvious, but others are thought provoking and all can be used to challenge biblical growth if the answers are supported with Scripture. This guide unfortunately only covers Part 1 of the book.
