Does lust overpower love? As the winter sets in on Chicago, things have been getting pretty serious between Breon and Trina. Having been together for a while, Trina finds out that Breon was seen coming out of a jewelry store. Trina and her two sisters run with this, especially considering the fact that Breon brings up the idea of taking a trip to Gatlinburg for their anniversary. However, all of this could be quickly changing. When Breon goes to Wayne’s house for a coming home party for a friend who has just gotten out of prison, he sees a chick he’d heard about in school and used to have a bit of a crush Nikki. And she is so much more tempting now than she was back then. Little does Breon know, Nikki will really have her eyes on him once she’s heard that he is getting married. Will Breon be able to resist the temptation that is Nikki? How will Nikki react when she finds out that Breon may be popping the question soon to his main chick, Trina? Find out the answer to these questions and more in The Wrath of a Side Chick (Part 1).
This book really isn't for me. The conversations of the characters were very amateurish and there was entirely too much emphasis on Nikki's assets and head game. I got the picture the first time, but it was all Breon seemed to focus on
I loved reading this book. The story is one that a lot of females can relate to being in Nikki's or Trina's shoes at some point. Breon finds himself caught between the love of his girlfriend of many years and lusting after an old school crush and when opportunity presents itself, he gives in to temptation. I found myself reading this book and talking about Breon and the choices he was making as if I was watching the scenes of the story play out right before my eyes. Once Breon makes the decision to juggle both women, you are pulled in to the story, engrossed in finding out what happens next. It's a story of love, deceit, and karma. Can't wait to read book 2 and see what happens in this triangle of love and lust!
I received a free advanced reader copy of this book in exchange for an honest & unbiased opinion.
Nothing happened. There was no wrath or anything. All they did was have sex, she found out he was getting married and it ended. Wrong name for the book. I was waiting for something good to happen. All I kept reading was how big his penis was and how good she gave head. Disappointed, no drama.
Me Higgins has managed to capture my full attention again with this page turner. I enjoyed the way she intertwine all the characters in her story. And everything is so realistic.
