Bridget Penney was born and grew up in Edinburgh, then lived in London for a number of years, before settling in Brighton. She is the author of one a book of short stories "Honeymoon with Death" (Polygon, Edinburgh 1991), which was shortlisted for the Saltire Society Scottish First Book of the Year Award. Her novel "Index" (Book Works, June 2008) was published in the Semina series commissioned and edited by Stewart Home. Other examples of Penney's work can be found scattered in anthologies and small press publications.
