Now a twist of fate brings her to Lake Superior's shores in Duluth and she's forced to take on yet another case. Can our heroine discover what the connection is between a jewel heist and a missing college student before someone she or someone else's life is snuffed out? "Laugh out loud funny! Amateur sleuth Mary Malone and her entourage of family, friends and foes make DEATH OF THE NAKED LADY a delightfully entertaining read. I loved it!" -Pat Dennis, author of MURDER BY CHANCE and the BETTY CHANCE mystery series.

I was born in Minneapolis, MN. Later, I had the opportunity to live in Ohio, Iowa, and Maryland. Moving around and traveling has helped me understand people from different parts of the country.

I received a degree in education from St. Cloud State University, a two year business marketing degree from Anoka Ramsey Community College, and a certificate from the Institute of Children's Literature.

I'm proud to be a local and national member of Sisters in Crime, an organization started by Sue Grafton in the 1980's

My creative writing juices started flowing around age 50. Looking to Colonel Sanders and Grandma Moses for inspiration in new career accomplishments, I firmly believe it's never too late to accomplish your dreams whatever they may be.

I don't like to write mysteries containing gore-I'd rather have the reader say, "Ah, that was a good book without all the detailed description a murder entails." In each of my novels so far I've incorporated minute factual events that have happened to me personally in real life.

I have five published novels to my credit plus six short stories in anthologies. I'm currently working on my sixth novel titled Death of the Pickle King. From 2007 through 2016 I wrote freelance material for HER VOICE, a woman's quarterly publication put out by Brainerd Dispatch in Brainerd, MN.

Very easy read! Had a little bit of a slow start but once it got going I had to know how it ended. I loved that it was set in Duluth and I knew a lot of the places discussed in the book. Great murder mystery story that kept me interested the whole time. Definitely need to check out the other Mary Malone mystery books.

P.S. I even have a signed copy of the book!

For those who love stories in the fashion of Agatha Christie or other sleuths, this is the book to pick up. A tad of romance and humor are thoughtfully placed throughout the novel so the reader doesn't find themselves on pins and needles the whole way through. The mystery, DEATH of the NAKED LADY, moves at a fast pace taking Mary Malone, an unemployed teacher, her widowed aunt, and elderly neighbor from the Twin Cities up to the shores of Lake Superior where Mary can do research for a novel and care for her Cousin Lizzie's dog. Little does Mary realize a certain scene she stumbles upon on the beach, her second day in Duluth, will prove extremely dangerous for her and her companions. Witnessing a similar scene on the beach in Duluth as Mary, my main character, inspired me to write this particular novel.
