Good Introduction

This book started a bit slowly for me and I feared its pedantic approach would lead me to stop well before coming to the end. I stuck with it and it proved a valuable short introduction to body language. On the very positive side, the reading was comfortable, without a lot of complexity and unnecessary jargon that often inhabit books that try to display expertise. I would have liked a little more detail, e.g. how to read hand movements to various parts of the face, or a little more on facial expressions. In summary, I hope the author follows this book with a more advanced treatment in a second book.

Ok not great

It was just ok. Some good tips like power poses and I guess you get what you pay for. It was filled at the beginning with mostly filler, it was pedantic to say the least. Filming up pages and not saying anything concrete. The few tips about body language in there can be found free on a google search. There wasn’t much to it, it was short and uneventful. Two stars for the few tips that saved me a google search.

Probably alright for beginners

I am sad to give such a low rating to any book but the book did not do it for me. It seemed the content was too basic, layman like and way obvious! I like books which add on, give new perspectives. This might just be a case of not being a beginner to the world of body language. Might be great start for some other reader :)

This book is informational especially to those who are in human resource department. It can help them to identify who will be the best candidate suited for the job by minding their body language. It is also helpful to friendship, one can determine how his/ her friends feel through their body language.
