It starts with a wonder drug, a miracle cure. A cure to all common disease. No more common cold, no more flu, no AIDS, no Malaria. Science can now devote more time and resources to cures for altimeters, Parkinson’s, ALS and other life ruining Yet the creation leads to a deadly virus. A hybrid of Malaria, Lyme’s and Rabies, that is ninety-eight percent contagious. The disease that will turn all mammals into blood and flesh lusting sub-species is out, and spreading like wild fire. Part one of this new novella series will take you on a journey into the events that countdown to the dawn of a new world. The World of Z1O5 Zombie Outbreak.
It was very interesting read. We got to learn how and why of the virus outbreak. I love that! As you read along you find out how the virus spread from person to person and how it went from state to state. Craziness!
A solid little intro to the Z105 zombie outbreak by author Harris. Our zombie virus is a made in a test tube - several, in fact - and combined with the latest all-powerful and freely distributed immunization that most of the world seems to be sporting, and spreads by simple contact. I enjoyed the author's description of how quickly the virus jumps from person to persons to persons, giving us some detail into the exponential spread of the disease. Quite alarming. I'm looking forward to "Zed Dawn" next.
The story was good and I didn't find any bothersome spelling or grammatical errors. It's not fine literature, but it's decently told. Kudos to the author!
I've yet to come across a Zombie book that works and 'Countdown' is another disappointment. It's not well written, badly edited, and is strictly linear except for the Epilogue which comes out of nowhere and has nothing to do with the rest of the novella. Given the title you'd be forgiven for assuming that the cure-all 'Hilary Vaccine' introduced at the start of the book is the cause of the Zombie outbreak, but no, it is something else entirely. It's just lazy. 1 Star.
