My criteria for a cookbook being good are:
1. Did I find anything interesting? I did find two interesting recipes that I thought I might try.
2. Did the format make me want to find a recipe and to use it? This book definitely shone in this criterion.
3. Were the ingredients things I would want to purchase? Again a winner.
4. Would anyone besides me like it? I think so.
5. Did it add anything to my knowledge? Probably not much.
