After the chaos of Mexico, Abby and Kye have lost everything but each other. They’re on the run with no purpose, no allies, and very little money. To make things worse, Abby’s wound from the Arawn Dagger is draining her power, leaving her unable to access her Light, or her Healing ability.

While the hunt for her long-lost father takes them back through Abby’s childhood homes, they’re forced to question everything they’ve been taught and everyone they’ve ever trusted—including each other. After a desperate attempt to Heal Abby’s wound goes horribly awry, and with the demons they thought they’d lost hot on their heels, the star-crossed couple is forced to face some painful realities that will change life for everyone they know.

When Abby’s best friend is kidnapped by demons, Abby and Kye abandon their search and launch a rescue attempt that morphs into a battle, the outcome of which will determine if Abby and her friends have what it takes to rid the world of demons, or if the royal bloodline and the Gifted generation will be obliterated once and for all.

Perfect

Make sure when you finish to read the authors note :)

Ok so the ending of this series is so hard for me. I wanted to read as fast as possible so I could know the whole story but I wanted to read as slow as possible to savor it. This is going to be my all time favorite series! I really hope the author one day decides to make a spin off of these books. Maybe the children that visit or even a child that is as lost and alone as Abby finding her way.5 well deserved stars

Legacy is the last book in The Descendant Series and what an ending it was. I have enjoyed reading this trilogy from the very beginning. From first being introduced to the characters, through all their ups and downs to the amazing end. The author did an great job with all three books and I will be on the lookout for more books by her in the future.

Abby and Kye have been through some crazy things during their centuries of living different lives. Through it all they somehow find each other but never really get their happy ending. Will this time be different? Honestly I wasn't sure what was going to happen with any of the characters throughout the book. The author kept me guessing the entire time and I enjoyed every minute of it. This story will take you on a rollarcoaster ride and adventure from beginning to end.

I'm not going to give any details because this is a must read for anyone who has read the first two books. I will say that I was on the edge of my seat many times wondering what was going to happen next. There is happy moments, sad moments, moments of disbelief, action, suspense and romance. All things I love in a good book. While I'm sad that this is the end, I am happy with how it ended. Overall a great series that I recommend!

I didn’t like it.

I wanted so much to finish up this series with high hopes. The novel was a road trip from hell. It dragged. And when that started, I ended up skimming, so when all the important stuff happened at the end, I had lost all interest and didn’t really care what happened to the characters because the story just turned out to be ridiculous.

Why? I didn’t like how Abby kept saying she loved Kye, but she was so angry at him. She kept hashing out the same feelings over and over again.

Same for Rose. I hated Rose’s POV. Her time with Gabe had nothing to do with the plot, and it wasn’t interesting.

Gabe is the only character I liked, and I didn’t like how his storyline ended. It makes no sense for him to be with who he ended up being with. No chemistry.

And Kye. Biggest whimp ever.

Once again, I didn’t understand all the powers and the goddesses and why everything ended up the way it did. And why does everyone always fight Abby when she tries to heal people? Good grief. I didn’t understand all the cutting and transferring of powers. It seemed too contrived.

Note. Many typos.

Reader rated for ages 14+ for mild violence.

I received this ebook in exchange for an honest review.

This was the third (and final?) book in the Descendant series by Nichole Giles. It was a fantastic read. So many ups and downs, twists and turns. Some you could see coming and some were surprises. I thoroughly enjoyed it. This story made me cry and worry. I admit I may have jumped to the end to make sure I was prepared for it. I was so involved in the characters lives I couldn't bear to think it wouldn't end how I wanted it to. The author did not disappoint me. I might have liked a little more detail in the final chapters about their lives but it was still very good, all wrapped up. No loose ends. I recommend this book, this series to anyone looking for a good, clean, YA read full of emotion, duty, action and adventure with paranormal romance.

I was so excited to begin the book that would conclude the Descendant series. I even made myself "earn" the right to read it by finishing up some tasks I was delaying. Unfortunately, I was frustrated by the format and left wanting.

The book alternates between Rose and Abby's POVs. I did enjoy that this gave us a way to see what was going on in more than one location, but it did keep pulling me from the story. Despite that the ending for Kye and Abby and the rest of the Gifted. I struggled that despite the fact that Abby and Kye spent lots of time not alone, but driving in a car and yet didn't ever discuss the issues developing in their relationship.

Overall a decent ending to a series that I'd enjoyed.

This is book 3 in the series, which does need to be read in order for complete understanding. I found myself absolutely entranced by this authors work. The story starts with a young woman, Abby, who finds out she is supposed to be Queen of these mythical creatures and beings and that she is a healer. We follow her journey through romance, the good and the bad, as well as fighting all these evil shadows and beings. We literally see her grow up before our eyes and accept the fate she is destined to have. This book took a really unique and fascinating look at this world and really gave readers something new and fun. I hope we get to hear more about Abby and Kye since the book delivers quite the surprise punch at the end.
