Nathan Davenport is being stalked by Isabella Ravini, the feral vampire who stole his human life over a hundred and sixty years ago. She made him her fledging, a slave for her dark, evil purposes—hunting humans. After a few years she released him, and Nathan reluctantly learned to accept the cursed life she’d foisted upon him. Over time he amassed a great fortune, which today has made him famous worldwide. Isabella decides she wants to be a part of this world of fame and fortune Nathan created for himself. She’s determined to marry him, and love has nothing to do with it. His money is her primary target, and the fame and prestige attached to being the wife of one of the richest men in the world wouldn’t be so bad either. In an effort to evade her until he can figure out how to stop her, he hides at a safe house he owns in New Orleans. One Saturday evening in NOLA, he decides to have dinner in the city. He chooses a quiet little Italian bistro, never imagining this night will change his life forever. The human woman who delivers his order isn’t a server, but the restaurant’s sous chef, a beautiful ethnic woman possessing the most delicious blood scent he’s ever encountered. The moment Mia Peebles arrives at his table with his plate, tasting her becomes an obsession. Mia wants nothing to do with him because of Nathan’s reputation as a playboy. So Nathan enchants her, feeds from her, but his lusts for her blood and body play havoc with his thinking. Nathan finds a way to bring her into his life as his personal chef and quickly falls in love with her. The trouble is Mia has no idea he’s a vampire because during the enchanting episodes, Nathan blocked her memories of those sensual encounters. How will Nathan tell her the truth without losing her and keep Isabella from finding him? Or worst yet, will Isabella discover how much Mia has come to mean to him?
I love the story. It's a story of the heart with twists. The characters are engaging and I adored Mia. I held my breath for her and Nathan. Isabella, I wanted her to go away. But then that wouldn't make a great story... The story is rich with layers and layers of intrigue. The plot is just as thick. And even though this is a paranormal romance, the characters seem real as anyone. The story is worth your time. I enjoyed from the beginning. The author Lana Campbell knew how to draw you in and not let go until you finish the book. I look forward reading this author's next novel. Great job!!!!!
Forever And A Night by Lana Campbell is a decent paranormal romance.
I enjoyed reading it because of the writing. Author's writing was really good; it flowed smoothly and made this book a surprisingly quick read given the total number of pages.
I did like the story too, but at more than a dozen places I found a lot of resemblance to the plots of other Vampire novels. I do enjoy good paranormal romance books, but while reading this book I couldn't stop myself from comparing to the other books in the genre.
The romantic relationship between Nathan and Mia was believable and engaging. It was dangerously bordering on the borderline of clichéd but somehow managed to not fall off the wall.
What I did find interesting was the fact that the leading lady was the mother of grown up children, a fact that is hard to find in most of the paranormal romance books. That was the biggest redeeming factor for this book, at least for me.
The beginning and ending were good and the story was medium-paced which made it a pleasant read. In spite of the problem I had, I still liked the characterization and the story settings. I liked the concept and enjoyed knowing more about the characters as the story progressed.
This book might not be the best one in the genre, but it didn't fall short either.
If you're into vampires and love reading romance novels then this is a book for you, but if you don't then you might or might not like it.
'Forever and a Night' by Lana Campbell is the story of Nathan Davenport and Mia Peebles. Mia is a divorced women with three grown girls who works at an Italian Restaurant as one of their Chiefs. One day they have a few servers call in and left them short handed. So Mia takes the initiative to serve also that night to help them get the orders out. This leads her to meet Nathan who she knows that he is a player but later learns he too is one of the riches men around. So Mia sets her mind to avoid any personal interaction as she doesn't need the extra stuff in her life. Mia hasn't dated or been with anyone in the 5 years of her divorce and didn't plan to start now. Nathan is a long outstanding Vampire who was released from Isabella Ravini...the women that turned him. But now she wants him back after he has become rich and powerful. So Nathan is laying low when he meets Mia. From the first moment he saw and smelled her he knew he had to taste her. But Mia doesn't want to go out with him so he 'glamorous/enchant her so that he can kiss and take her blood. Once done he wipes her mind of them except for the part he having dinner at the restaurant. Nathan does this for several days when his friends start to question what is he doing. They don't usually use the same donors so what he is doing is raising questions. But Nathan can't seem to stay away from Mia. Nathan offers Mia a job as his personal Chef bringing her closer to him while he works out his feelings. I enjoyed this Vampire Romance...it was nice to see an middle aged (42) main character for a change so that added to the story. Will Mia and Nathan be able to make the life he so desperately wants or will Mia hate him when she find out what and who he truly is?
Wow is the first thing that comes to mind after reading this book. Lana Cambell has a flair for writting vampire stories that is surpassed by none. From the moment I picked it up until the moment I put it down I realized that I had struck gold in finding this author. This book has everything a person could want love, betrayal, spirituality, and most of all vampires with a human side. I feel as if I know the characters personally and that is something very rare that you only find in a worthy book. My hat goes off to you Ms Campbell this book was incredible.
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ 💋💋 The first book in a stunning series. Nathan is Vampire, has all he could possibly need , wealth, prestige, wonderful friends , but he doesn’t have a life-mate , a woman who will love him forever, stay with him , understand him , then he meets Mia . Mia is Human, works hard , is divorced, 3 grown kids . She doesn’t want a man , no matter how rich , influential, and hot ,he may be . She doesn’t want Nathan . Isabella is Vampire and she’s Feral , she’s the one who turned Nathan , now she wants him back . When Nathan and Mia finally hit it off , Isabella Returns and fireworks start . Such a brief description does not do this book justice , but more may ruin the story for you , and you really will love this book. Lana is a genius with her plots , characters and twists , her imagination run riot in this and the others in the series. Don’t miss this dramatic and addictive paranormal adventure/romance. Five stars without a doubt . I received an advance copy of this book and chose to submit a review
Mia is an ordinary sous chef in a restaurant; a single mother who had to work hard her whole life to raise three daughters. So, when a most desirable bachelor (who incidentally happens to be one of the richest men in the US) offers her a position as his personal chef, Mia suspects that the man may have some ulterior motives. Little does she know that she gets herself involved into something that goes far beyond her understanding, and can either bring her an eternity of happiness or put her very life on the line… I loved nearly all the characters but Mia won my affection as a reader right away. I admired not only her hard work and ethics but how she always put her daughters’ interests first and how protective she was of them. Nathan also was a great central character, and his love for Mia knew no boundaries. The supernatural aspect was seamlessly woven into the narration, making it real and incredibly interesting to read about. The final few chapters were so action-packed that I couldn’t help but read well into the night rooting for the characters. Compelling and well-written, this book will be a perfect read for all fans of the genre.
I love paranormal books but this was far above anything that I have read before. This is a vampire paranormal that has a mixture of romance, mystery, and suspense and keeps you enthralled from the start. This is an amazing start to a fantastic series. Mia and Nathan come together unexpectedly and each tries to fight their feelings for the other because secrets that are kept can cause the end of what they have. Mia cares for Nathan but sometimes things just might not be meant to be or do they? There are so many little pockets of secrets, twists, and surprises found on every page. Thank you for allowing me to read this and write a honest review.
The book was short enough to finish in about three days, maybe two if you’re not super busy (21 chapters). A creative explanation about what defines a vampire and the myths surrounding the species. Instead of demons, in this book vampirism is merely an evolutionary disease of the blood (So that explanation leaves room for a possible cure to be discovered. Maybe Chelsie would find it in the future. Lol.) Mixes modern vampirism and Christian/Catholic faith. This book would be a great discussion on a religion/philosophical level. If that doesn’t bother you, then this is a nice romance book with the right amount of drama to keep it interesting. Warning, there is only one sex scene at the end of the book when the couple gets married.
Truth be told, I haven't read a vampire romance in quite sometime. It's not that I don't enjoy them but if 'you've read one you've read them all.' Right? Well, so not the case with Forever and a Night. I loved how the author changed my notion about vampires by creating believable characters who still possessed special powers. But, instead of brutally feeding from their victims they actually fed intravenously. Which was the total opposite of a feral vampire who would rip your throat out and leave you to die in a puddle of your own blood. Good vs evil...
Mia and Nathan were delicious together and I loved the fact that although she was enamored by him in the beginning, her faith prevailed. Ms. Campbell did a fantastic job of keeping the reader engaged with the central plot and the many twists and turns throughout. All in all, Forever and a Night was a unique read and I truly enjoyed escaping into the vampire realm once again!
This was a first for me by this author. A definite page turner. The story was well written and the characters were relatable. Nathan and Mia will pull at your heart strings. If you enjoy romance, action, comedy and drama. Then this is the book for you.
Although I don’t usually follow this genre, I decided to give this one a try, and I found that I liked it. I’m sure that has a lot to do with the author’s skill. The book was easy to sink into (no pun intended) and kept my attention from beginning to finish. All of the characters were compelling, and I found myself caught up in their stories and lives. The world of the vampire was made totally understandable and believable for me by the careful weaving of details throughout the storyline—which was exactly what someone new to the genre like myself needed. Forever and a Night was a great romance story as well! I will be looking forward to the next one in the series.
kathyduncan 1019 This is a book I read in 3 days. It rained alot so I took advantage of the time. It is still with me. I feel like I'm a part of this circle. I definitely want more. I was drawn in the first chapter and reread the first 2 to wrap my head around it. Sensational writing, captivating, beautiful love story. This book gets ten stars from me. Can't wait for the next book to come out. Highly recommend this read!
Welcome to New Orleans and prepare to embark on a series events that will engage you to the end. Meet Mia Pebbles. Middle age woman, chef at a local restaurant with three grown girls. Mia is focused on her job and working to acquire the funds she will need to help one of her daughters get into Harvard medical school. It won't be easy, but she's determined. Then enters, Nathan Davenport, millionaire, vampire and renown entrepreneur. The minute that he catches Mia's scent while at the restaurant she works at he's hooked on her. Using his vampiric abilities he coaxes her to spend some time with him, and feeds from her but wipes the memories. Until confronted by this two dear close friends, Nathan has no idea that Mia is potentially his life-mate and that his actions may create problems for him down the line. But that is just one of Nathan's many problems. Nathan is being hunted by his creator. Isabella turned him years before, but now she wants him for the money, fame, and prestige that he now holds claim to. Nathan is trying to stay hidden, but it's only a matter of time before she finds him. Isabella will not go quietly into the night and she will destroy all that he loves in order to get her way. Now the clock is ticking on when she will show up, and how Nathan will handle things with Mia if he wishes to continue moving forward with her. Forever and a Night: A Vampire Romance by Lana Campbell is the first book that I have read by this author. This is an engaging novel, that brings an interesting aspect to the novel. Mia is a highly religious woman, and the author really plays that up in this novel. Mia has been through some things in life, but she has always kept her faith has her main focus. She won't do certain things because of the fact that it will go against her faith. I like Mia as a character overall because of the fact that she is hard-working, and family focused. Nathan is not perfect, but he is a likable character as well. I love his two friends Demetri and Julia. They are such an engaging couple, and the author does a fantastic job with them. We get some backstory on all the characters, but nothing so in-depth that it detracts from the overall storyline. There are some fast-paced moments in this story, but overall it moves at a steady pace. When I started to read some of the religious aspects of this story, I honestly didn't think that I would like it. I kept figuring that eventually, Mia would descend into a moral quagmire and this does end up happening. This immediately irritated me. It's like she decided to pick and choose what parts she was going to follow as a "good Christian." Then when she proceeds to lie and deceive her own daughters it just goes to deepen things for me. Because then how was she any different from the ones that she had chosen to "hate"? Another issue I have with this book is it needs editing. There are quite a few spelling issues throughout, that is easily noticed. A prime example of an error I found used repeatedly is "loose" instead of "lose." One such instance is the following sentence, "As for you, Nathan, loose my number." Also, there are sentences that are missing words or just don't make any sense. These things distract from the story because they make you stop, and have to reread trying to figure out what the author is trying to say. At the end of the day, I found this book to be an enjoyable story. I think that it could have been cut down a bit so that some spots would not be so monotonous, but it's a vampire novel that is different from the rest. It's rare to find a vampire novel that has such focus on religion and this book does a good job. Overall, the author doesn't get totally bogged down in religion and stays focused. I, of course, don't like all the characters, but that's to be expected. Overall I am rating this book 4 out of 5 stars. The book is well written and an enjoyable read. If the author has not already done so I would recommend an editor going through and doing a thorough rereading for errors to clean it up. Mia is an interesting character and I have a love/hate relationship towards. I like her, but then she gets on my nerves. But I'm glad she ends up coming to her senses and stops being a hypocrite.
Forever and a Night is a uniquely original story of finding love in the most unlikely of places. Sometimes we may be granted a glimpse of love in a way we never would have imagined. Even if love has to wait for a time to be claimed, it will never forget who its home resides with. We can turn our back and run far away, but no time or space can ever make its intensity or connection dissipate. In fact, it will only make it stronger. When the fear of the unknown is finally conquered can we truly claim what has always been ours. We cannot give the other half of our heart back, we can only submit and savor this precious gift.
Nathan never expected to find a blessed treasure on such an ordinary day. When he laid eyes on one woman who touched a part of his heart and soul that had been previously cold and bare, something drew him to her. He felt an undeniable urge to touch and find out more about her. The only problem is that whenever he touched her he was overwhelmed with more passion and desire then he knew what to do with. Mia just wants to live her life on her terms. She finally has pieced a good life together, and she has no intention of making any changes. However, when she finds her intrigued with the unexpected attention of a well-known man, she does what she does best and protects her heart by walking away. No matter what she does she can’t seem to shake him, and when unexpected revelations come to light, she is rocked to her very core. Will she finally open her heart to Nathan, or will she find a reason to leave and never look back?
I enjoyed how complex and intriguing Nathan and Mia were. They had a lot going on in their lives, so nothing for them was simple, and yet what they found between them was something truly worth fighting for. They both made mistakes which made mistakes which humanized them and make them very relatable. My heart hurt as it watched the path they had to walk. Nothing came easy, but that only made what they could have worth fighting for. I also thoroughly enjoyed the new original take on vampires. It never fails to delight whenever I find a brilliant story that challenges me in so many ways. What a rush!
Lana Campbell is a unique author who has a way of pulling you into a story with her rich and dazzling plots and amazing characters who will charm you every step of the way with their precious hearts and open vulnerability. This is a great start to a series, and I look forward to reading more from this intriguing world.
Forever and a Night is a vampire romance tale featuring billionaire Nathan Davenport and Mia Peebles, a divorced woman in her forties who has already raised three children of her own. Currently working at a sous chef in New Orleans, she doesn't understand why the younger (and extremely wealthy) Nathan would want anything to do with her -- his attempts to hit on her and convince her to go out end with her rebuff him because she doesn't see how they have anything in common.
What Mia doesn't know is that Nathan is much older than he appears. Having been turned into a vampire in the mid-19th century, he has spent his long life alone, without his life-mate. At first, the alluring scent of her blood is intoxicating to him and he takes advantage. Before long though, and with some prompting from his close friends, he realizes that Mia is more than just a donor. Throw in a crazy feral ex and a more compatible -- in Mia's mind -- doctor, and there are plenty of obstacles to their romance.
I've read countless PNR novels. Forever and a Night is a bit different from the others in a couple of intriguing ways. First, I really liked how Campbell relied on science to explain her vampires. Even their psychic abilities have a rational explanation. Second, there is a very heavy religious theme to this novel. Mia is a Christian and her values color every aspect of her life. Discovering vampires exist? It forces her to confront her own beliefs and realize that, just because Nathan is a different species, he is still a spiritual creature who God is looking out for.
I love the ending to the Isabella arc of the novel. The big bad throughout the book definitely gets what she deserves, even if the person responsible is a very pleasant surprise!
This is the first book that I have read from Lana Campbell, I love Vampire books and this is one that is different from others that I have read, this is bringing a different look to how Vampires are looked at in other books. We have a Vampire, Isabella Ravini who went and transformed Nathan Davenport into a vampire and kept him sorta on a leace to do as she wanted and also for her to feed from. Eventually she let him go and Nathan 100 years later made himself a billionaire and a name known throughout the world. Now, Isabella wants him back not just to feed but to get married to him so that she could be more powerful with his money and status. But Nathan wants nothing to do with her so he runs and hides. In enters Mia Peeples, an older women who has raised her children and now on her own with a job that she loves as a Su Chef of a New Orleans restaurant, when she meets Nathan on a night where she is doing not just the cooking, she has to get the orders to the customers on a busy night that they are so short staffed that she can't even take a break till they close. Even though Nathan is over 100 years old he looks around 30 something and Mia, is an older women that doesn't have the time to date. Nathan is intrigued with Mia and wants to get to know her not just for her blood. But Mia can't understand why a young man wants to be with her and then he falls in love with her and can't decide to tell her let alone explain that he is a vampire and that he has Isabella wanting him back and trying to keep Mia safe. Lana has you flipping the pages to see how Nathan and Mia handle their love, their differences and also fighting with Isabella. Forever and the Night, is a wonderful book you will really enjoy it and will want to read Lana's other books.
Forever and a Night is a vampire romance novel. It is the story of Nathan Davenport; a centuries old vampire, and Mia Peebles; a human divorced mother of 3. These two characters lead completely different lives.
Mia is a divorced mother of three grown girls, she has no idea that vampires exist, let alone that a centuries old vampire is taking quite an interest in her. Mia believes that Nathan is a Playboy, and when he shows interest in her, she wants nothing to do with him.
Nathan Davenport has taken refuge at his New Orleans home as he is being stalked by a feral vampire. The feral vampire is none other than Isabella; the vampire that created Nathan. Isabella only wants to marry Nathan, not because she loves him but for his fame and fortune. Nathan wants nothing to do with Isabella, in fact he wants her dead. Mia on the other hand Nathan wants to know everything about her. After meeting her in the restaurant where she works, he tastes her and then becomes a little obsessed with her.
Lana has written a well thought out vampire tale, that is full of twists, turns and secrets. These characters have unique characteristics and they interact well together. These characters have their own backstories, that gives them all credibility and makes them much more realistic and believable.
The author has woven the twists, turns and secrets into the plot in such a way that each event leads seamlessly to the next and keeps you intrigued. The writing style is both informative and engrossing. It sucks the reader in and keeps a hold of your attention from the beginning until the end.
Overall this is a pretty good vampire story with a few differences to others of this type that I've read.
Forever and a Night has an interesting story line of faith and love. It also has a mix of evil and obsession.
Nathan is a vampire that wasn’t sure if he would ever meet his lifemate. He had given up on the fact that she might be out there. Watching his best friends, Julia and Dimitri, enjoy a life together made him wonder if he would ever find that happiness. Even after he meets his one, he is still not sure if he can convince her to spend a lifetime with him.
Mia has deep roots in faith. She is unaware of the existence of vampires. All she knows is that she meets what she is considers a playboy and doesn’t think that he can be serious about a relationship. After her failed marriage, she doesn’t even consider getting into another relationship. Mia is happy watching her children grow into happy adults.
I had a few issues with this Novel in general. It had editing issues, especially in the first half. The second half when the action picked up between Isabella (the feral vampire) and Nathan, there were a lot less editing problems. I did like the theme of the story. But I found both Mia and Nathan to be annoying in places. I wanted Nathan to just tell Mia to get over it. And I found that Mia was a little bit of a hypocrite. I didn’t mind the religious tones in the book but it felt forced by the end.
It was a really fast read and I really got into the second half of the book. I loved Mia’s children and I liked the fact that Mia was middle aged. I’m looking forward to Tiffany’s book.
Nathan is a vampire who has never had a serious relationship. Mia works in a restaurant as a Sous Chef, has three grown daughters and is divorced. She is a devout Christian and is a stickler in her beliefs. They meet one night when he goes to the restaurant and he is immediately taken with her enough to mesmerize her and starts drinking blood from her. His friends, Julia and Dimitri believe she could be his life mate. Dimitri’s and Nathan’s maker, Isabella returns with a proposition for Nathan. They want her dead for she is feral! In an act, no one saw coming…Isabella attacks Mia! Nathan has no choice but to turn her….now what? With her Christian beliefs prevailing, will she accept life as a vampire? Or will she allow herself to die? She cannot stand Nathan or his friends now and what they are! What will she do once her daughters come to town? Also, is there another vampire that wants her as a life mate? What will happen to all of them? Will Isabella receive her wishes? Will she attack any others? Will this mean an all-out war? This is a romantic story filled from the vampire’s perspective. The vampire’s in the story are nothing like the regular vampires we have read about. It is a great story full of romance, secrets, betrayal, and intrigue. The characters will endear themselves to your heart! I am hoping there are more stories with these same characters! I received this as an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I received an ebook of this novel from the author in exchange for an honest review. Thank you Lana Campbell!
I want to start off by saying that this book has good bones. It has the outline of a great story. The actions and events follow each other nicely, and coherently. So, no issue there.
Where it gets sticky with me is with the characters. I didn't connect with them at all. I just didn't care about what happened to them. I found them a little superficial and two dimensional; they lacked depth. The main character, Mia, is quite religious, and I have absolutely nothing against that, but what bothered me is that she relied solely on it for morals. In a modern world, religion can be a guide, but not a rule book. (I apologize if I got too carried away there and offended people, but I felt the need to explain myself)
I felt as though Mia's daughters had exaggerated personalities that made the story less realistic. They would be overly stubborn, or impulsive, or judgmental. They have no filter, and that just didn't seem right with Mia, a very reserved person, being their mother.
There were also a few points in the book where there were comments that were made that made me frown and shake my head.
Anyways, all this to say that with a few character tweaks I would enjoy this story more, and that is my opinion.
I was given the opportunity to review Firever and a Night! I could say I was hooked and enthralled from the beginning.
Mia a single mother who moved to NOLA to start a new life was making it as a sound chefbin a small Italian bistro in the French Quarter. She had a apt, great boss, and three daughters who were coming to visit. That was until Nathan walked in and stol her heart from day one.
Nathan was a vampire that was turned by a evil feral female vampire name Isabella. He was under her control unti he was no longer of use. Once he was released he made a name for himself as one of the most prominent and single billionaire. That was until he fell in love with Mia!
In the beginning it was wrong of Nathan to enchant and drink from her, but it wasn’t until Isabella became a threat and his friends Julia and Dimitrik told him he had to be truthful.
There would be challenges for Mia.woukd she accept what Nathan can offer her. Woukd she be able to be the mother she always was to her kids? If she decide to become or take what Nathan could offer would it go against her Christian principles?
With the help of Julia, Dimitrik, Christian, and Bathan could things turn out right? Woukd her daughters accept who she was? Or will Isabella threaten everything to all is gone?
Must read!

This was an interesting read for me. Very much a paranormal read...also romance...but here is where I think I stumble a little. Vampires...normally known as evil, souless...and Christianity.
I still don't know how to deal with the dichotomy of the two concepts. It was good. The story line was great...fantastic...fabulous. But trying to wrap my head around the two meshing together in one story has me confused.
All of that aside, Lana Campbell did a great job with this story. I was pulled in from the very beginning. There is nothing better than a jealous ex to really screw up a new relationship. The reluctance of Mia really added to the back and forth of this story.
There are so many great characters in this story that I feel we could follow this family for a while and probably never get bored with Lana Campbell.
My must haves for a five star read were almost met. The characters were fantastic, there was a lot of drama, intense sexual situations...but alas there were no tears. I needed more emotional intensity.
Looking forward to more reads by Lana Campbell!
Lamplight Review and Promotion is giving Forever and a Night 4 Stars!
Forever and a Night introduced a new twist to traditional vampires. While Lana Campbell's vampires contain most elements of the usual vampires, she has made hers more human; where being a vampire is equal to having an incurable disease, allowing them to eat normal food as well as blood, to age but at a reduced rate and have the ability to become pregnant.
I enjoyed reading the novel and getting to know the characters. Mia was a bit back and forth for me, and felt a little too judgemental though she had a kind heart for most everyone except for the one that loved her. Her daughter's had their mothers kindness except for her eldest who clung to the judgemental aspect of her mother. I felt Tiffany above all should have been more humble and understanding considering the past.
My favorite character was Julia, I would love to read more about how she and Dimitri got together and about their lives. And though he was one of my least favorite characters, I would like to see Christian with someone, maybe even Tiffany.
Overall, I enjoyed reading Forever and a Night and look forward to reading more in the series.
Forever and a Night is the vampire novel for people who don't think they like vampire novels. Like everyone else I can't say enough about how amazing the writing and world building is. I think for me the best part is the fact that Campbell took the time to carefully craft and immerse us in the vampire culture to the point that it felt authentic. This is the only way to truly get into the story and this accounts for the fact that there were no jarring plot weak spots or gaping holes in the narrative just for the sake of paranormal sensationalism. This is paranormal for thinking adults and I loved it! Lastly I love love love the fact that Campbell made the decision to make religious conviction a part of the heroine's character arc. Another example of how excellent writing can elevate something that can quickly become maudlin in less experienced hands. I loved Nathan but Mia completely grounded the story for me as a character and she threatens to steal the show! Well done and without a doubt highly recommend.
It's been so long since my Moon Reader remind me to rest my eyes, once you started reading this you just wanted to keep on reading.
I like the idea of a vampire looking for or having a life-mate like a Shifters! I love Nathan and Mia story's so much, it was full of informations, histories of how they become a Vampire and what and how they are as a Vampire, and I like the kind of love Nathan and Mia have for each other, their sweet moments and the sweet words they were exchanging, Julia's words of wisdom. I love her! (hoping Julia and Dimitri also have their own story)
If you're into a Vampire stories, You will love Lana Campbell's Vampires, I am definitely hooked! "Forever and a Night" is a good read, the last four chapters is like a long epilogue, it gets me so excited for more/book 2, I can't wait to read the other characters own stories too, for their turn of finding their life-mate, all the trials they will face and how they will conquer their adversaries to be together forever in the end, like Nathan Davenport and Mia Peebles. ☺

I really enjoyed this book and am jumping right into the next book in the series. I really like this authors style and the flow of the story is wonderful. This is the story of Mia and Nathan. Mia is your typical middle age good-hearted Christian woman. Shes been through hell and back with an ex that is a real bucket of worms all in his own. Then she gets caught in the cross-hairs of a feral vampire who has decided Mia is a means to an end. Nathan has lived a long life and it was made even longer by being turned into a vampire by the feral female Isabella. Unfortunately even after over 100 years Isabella does not want to let go. Ferals are not able to function and be reasonable. In the chaos that is Isabella some choices have to be made making life very hard for many. Just a heads up this book has a very strong Christian undertone. I know this wont bother many but for the few that will be upset by it I feel it is strong enough to mention.
When I sat down to read Forever and a Night by Lana Campbell I wasn’t sure what to expect. I will admit right here I am a huge Twilight fan and am often quite partial when it comes to other vampire stories. Be that as it may, I gave this a shot and I’m happy I did. I enjoyed the different take on the vampires and their rules. I found this story very entertaining and refreshingly well written. Lana’s characters are well developed and relatable. As I continued through the story my attention never swayed and I felt for Mia and Nathan as if they were real people. It is very clear to me that Lana writes her stories from her heart and I hope to see this trend continue as she moves along with her career. This story was excellent, and this author is very talented. Vampire lover’s, you will not be disappointed.
This novel is gritty and super hot. Once you pick up the page, you are in for one big ride. From the very first page I was hooked on to the novel. I couldn't put it down. There is super awesome fangs and books like this are the reason why I love paranormal romance. I really liked how the entire novel was character driven. Nathan and Isabella are a great couple. I liked their scroching chemistry, but most importantly their complexity as characters. Both of them have made choices that are not all the time morally correct, yet the reasoning behind them makes them such great characters. I also really liked the action scenes and how that blended it into the romance. I liked the blood and fangs in the fights. They just made me love vampires even more. All in all, great vampire romance novel. I definetly recommend this for PNR lovers.
When Mia serves the famously rich, Nathan Davenport one night at the restaurant she works in, she immediately tags him as a playboy and doesn't want to get involved. Until he makes her an offer that he knows she can't refuse. Nathan is only in town on business, and has never had any interest in feeding from the same woman twice, until he meets Mia. He is drawn to her and finds a way to keep her close, but what will happen when she learns he is a vampire? This is a sweet and sexy romance, but the thing I like the best is that the characters feel like people I could relate to. We are talking about a middle aged woman working in a restaurant, not an 18 year-old virgin falling for her first love. I like characters with life experience. If you're looking for a great paranormal romance you will love this!
