Kyle Sander is an expert at starting over. At eighteen, he had his whole life planned out—marry his long-time girlfriend, take over his parents’ farm, have kids, and live out his days in Sander’s Valley. But his perfect life came screeching to a halt the day Ronnie Axel skipped town without a good-bye.

I'm an urban fantasy/paranormal romance author and a storyteller of gritty suspense and thrillers. The result is a sexy, unforgettable love story with a plot that will have you on the edge of your seat until the very last page.
How stinking cute is this short but perfectly sweet read? It's just the right length with just the right substance to keep you glued in to the story and the outcome.
Ronnie (Veronica) was the "summer fling" that strolled in to Sander Valley once a year for 3 months. During those three months, she belonged to Kyle. When I saw belonged, I mean heart, body and soul. But they were just kids. High school sweethearts that had big dreams and no truth about what the real world was like. Dreams didn't stop Kyle though, he followed his heart and was "all in", until she left and never returned.
Jump forward ten years and guess who's come to town? Yep, Ronnie. And she's looking better than ever before. Although Kyle knows he should stay away, he just can't keep myself from following her around town to make sure she's safe. Good thing he did, because she needed his help. In more ways than Ronnie was even willing to admit. But letting her guard down is the last thing she's ready to do. Too many things have happened to her in the last few months, and Kyle Sanders is the last thing she needs. Or is he?
Like I said before. This was super cute and sweet and left me with that gushy "awe" feeling at the end. Of course there's a little drama to keep you glued, but the HEA is worth every minute of this read. This is the perfect book for those of you who have a couple of hours to sit down and unwind, so you can rewind and go on an adventure.
*I received this book from the Author in exchange for my honest opinion.
What an intriguing novella. Corrigan introduces us to Sanders Valley, allowing us to picture it and get to know the way of life there. At the same time, she tells a captivating story about two lovers coming back together. This is an emotional and enlightening story. Corrigan’s writing style meshes perfectly with the storyline of the novella. This story may have been short and sweet, but it was also captivating.
The characters in this novella were fairly well developed. Corrigan develops them in the here and now, using their pasts to build character. They are the type of real, genuine individuals that routinely make you laugh and question their decision making skills, even though you understand where they’re coming from. It was a unique approach that worked very well with the story. I also appreciated the supporting cast. They were developed in and of their role in the story, without ever infringing on the main characters. You also get a hint as to those we’ll be getting to know better throughout the series.
I loved this book from the disclaimer in the forward matter to the very last page. It is definitely one of the best second chance romances I’ve read. It is a great launch for this new series & I can’t wait to read more.
Please note that I received a complimentary copy of this work in exchange for an honest review.
Blurb: Sometimes it takes years to realize a mistake. But only a night to find a way back into your lover's heart.
Kyle Sander is an expert at starting over. At eighteen, he had his whole life planned out—get married, have kids, grow old with his high school sweetheart. His plans came screeching to a halt the day Ronnie Axel skipped town without a goodbye.
A decade later...his first love is back. But when revenge sex turns into the second chance he never expected, Kyle's goal is set. He wants his perfect life and the woman he could never replace.
The years apart didn’t fix their issues, though. Ronnie’s obligation to the family business threatens to tear them apart a second time. But it’s the family scandal involving her that might make their separation not only permanent, but…deadly.
Escape to Sander’s Valley and indulge in an opposite attracts and second chance series of bad boys, real men, billionaires, rock stars, Russian lovers, and more.
Start with the Sander brothers, then follow along as their cousins and friends find their happily ever afters with the most unexpected, strong, and independent women.
I am a sucker for second chance love stories especially when the men are not afraid to wear their hearts on their sleeves. The author did a great job with the characters and plot. We get a little bit of everything. Betrayal, mystery, secrets, sex and danger. The author did not leave anything out. Love Repeated started and ended with a bang and ends with a bang.
Ten years ago Ronnie and Kyle looked forward to spending summers together. They were in love and crazy for each other. Kyle wanted to spend the rest of his life with Ronnie and was going to propose. Ronnie wanted more in life and knew she could not give Kyle the life he wanted. So she walked away giving him the chance to find a love that wanted the same life as he did. Fat forward ten years to the present and Kyle finds himself looking at the girl that broke his heart. The woman that he has never forgotten.
Kyle had thought he got over Ronnie but seeing her in the bar, looking like he’d picture her in his dreams, he knew she was still apart of him. All Kyle wanted to do was stay away from her and not prove that she was right all along. That he had done nothing with his life. He was in debt, struggling, no wife and no plan for any future. With one look of the bruise on Ronnie’s face he knew he wanted to help her and hurt the person that caused her pain.
“What happened?”
"Armed robbery?”
“Don’t bother lying to be, Ronnie. I know you too well. What happened?”
“You’re not the boy I once I loved, nor am I the same girl.”
“Bull****, Ronnie. I might I’ve changed, but not when it comes to your safety. You know I’d take on the damn world to protect you. Doesn’t matter if we’re lovers, friends, or strangers.”
Ronnie is going through so much. Her father passed away and her mother was murdered at an armed robbery at the art gallery they worked at. Since her mother’s murder, Ronnie found some letters and one of them asked her to take some pictures to hers father house. The last thing Ronnie wanted was to run into Kyle, the only man she has loved. Ronnie tries to put on a front and show that she is ok and over him but when she finds out that he never married, she starts to wonder if walking away from him was for nothing. She expected to see him living a happy fulfilling life but that wasn’t the case. Ronnie is also dealing with a secret she found out about her mother. This secret has caused her to second guess everything she has ever known. The only thing she knows for certain is that she is still in love with Kyle and there has never been another man like him that made her feel what he does in the last ten years.
The chemistry, love, passion and tension between Ronnie and Kyle is undeniable. Kyle thinks if he can just have one night with Ronnie he will be able to move on. The problem is with that one night comes the realization that he has never nor will ever get over her. Ronnie finds herself struggling with her feelings for Kyle. Her mind says no but her body craves him and she feels safe and comfortable with him.
“I’m going to bend you over your car, life your skirt and f*** you, Ronnie. If you have some guy that’s going to hunt me down for making you come all over my d***, tell me now.”
“I was right about you, Kyle Sander. You’re naughty.”
Ronnie is in town for a week, all Kyle has to do is remind her just how good they are together and for her to admit she still loves him. She is afraid to let Kyle back in. She has so much going and the secret her mother reveals is slowly killing her.
“I have no intention of replacing you.”
“I’m not letting you go this time, Ronnie. We’re going to figure this out how to make this work between us.”
Kyle and Ronnie’s characters were very well developed. Getting both their POVs showed just how connected and committed they were to one another. The author shows us even after all that time, space and distance true love has no barriers. That with communication and willingness anything is possible. I really fell in love with Kyle. He was confident and secure in his feelings with Ronnie and he wasn’t afraid to push her limits. Ronnie at first seemed cold but she opened up about her past and her relationship with Kyle. I learned that there was so much more to her and her love for Kyle was sincere. Ronnie knows she loves him but she needed him to push her limits and show her that together they can accomplish anything.
This was a very quick read but I definitely enjoyed this.
Ronnie and Kyle was high school sweet hearts. Kyle had a plan. Ask Ronnie to marry him, have babies and raise them in his home town on his families farm. Until Ronnie skips town without even telling Kyle Goodbye.
Ronnie returns 10 years later....With trouble of her own. Someone is out to hurt her!
They are still being pulled in two different directions. Ronnie has her family business to run. Kyle has his families farm. Can he get her to love him again?
Secrets come to light. Can Ronnie overcome them. Can she let Kyle back in? Can Kyle forgive her for leaving?
READ AND FIND OUT! NO SPOILERS HERE
I really enjoyed this book. It kept me interested. I wanted to know what was going to happen between Ronnie and Kyle. I was leaning in trying to figure out what happened between them before. I found this story heartfelt and graceful. The story did not feel rushed it flowed smoothly. There was a spark that ignited between Kyle and Ronnie when they come back together that felt believable. There were some plot twist that kept me glued to this book until the very last page.
I liked Ronnie character she seemed real. She had sass. I loved Kyle from the start. He was strong willed and knew what he wanted...Ronnie! There are sexy scenes...There chemistry was explosive...they could not keep there hand to themselves, there words were hot..hot..HOT! There journey was fantastic.
Overall I highly recommend this book. I will continue with this series.
* I was gifted a copy of this book by the author for an honest review
This was a very short but sweet story. Make yourself a cuppa and curl up in a chair, this can be read in one sitting :)
Ronnie and Kyle dated when they were teenagers. Ronnie comes from a family with wealth but Kyle comes from a bigger family who just get by. He is determined to make his own way in the world and be the man she can be proud of.
Before Kyle even gets the chance to make plans for his future with her, Ronnie leaves town, never to return again. Until 10 years later. Ronnie assumes that he would have moved on, married and had children by now. It was always Kyle's dream to settle down and live in Sanders Valley for the rest of his life. She is shocked to see that he hasn't down any of that. The one thing that hasn't changed is the pull they have towards each other. She was his forever love and he is now determined to make her feel that again, he doesn't want to lose her again.
Ronnie may have money and a great career but what she really wants is what Kyle has. A family. A big family that loves and supports him no matter what. I think that she envies what he has and it is the one thing truly missing in her life, love.
This was a quick read for me but I'm a sucker for second chance love stories :)
2nd chance romance. Summer love - ripped at the seams?
What happens your first love is the one that steals your heart. 10 yrs later a chance meeting - can the same two lovers find a future together in spite of the pain from their past.
At first, Kyle & Ronnie’s dreams and lives seem to be polar opposites - can they overcome their past and come together to build a future?
Loved this story, the MCs and the whole rest of the cast of characters.
As usual Nancy has packed me up and send me on a magical journey, this time into the lives of Kyle and Ronnie, and the community of Sander's Valley. When Nancy asked me to review this book, and told me it was NOT a supernatural romance, if I was sitting in front of her, she would have noticed me mouth drop open and me mumbling....."what???? but its what you do best!!!!"......well guess what folks.... Supernatural romance may be what she does best, but now she also does sweet, second chance, small town, romance just as well! It does not always take an alpha supe to make a book great :)
Kyle's world is turned upside down when he comes face to face with the one girl who has owned his heart for 10 years, and the one girl who took it with her when she left him. The last thing Kyle wanted to see what Ronnie standing in the bar looking all hot when he went for a drink one night. But the instant they see each other again the spark and the passion returns, and he decides that nothing will get in the way of him having her this time. His plan to have her for one night to get over her and be able to move on goes up in flames when he touches her and the passion that they once felt returns in a rush of old hurt and disappointment. Kyle came from a family that lived on the wrong side of the tracks, and Ronnie's wealthy upbringing unfortunately became a divide between them. Ronnie's life has turned upside down. Not only has her father died and her mother been murdered but she has been forced to return to the one place she never wanted to see again, and walks smack bang into the one person she never wanted to face again. Ronnie's mind is telling her to keep away from Kyle, to leave well enough alone, but her body is telling her other things. She craves him, just like she always did when they were teenagers. Her journey back to Sander's Valley forces her to come to terms with some truths about her past and when she discovers the secrets and lies that intertwine with her history she is left confused and broken. The one things that she can cling to that can bring her the stability and love that she craves is Kyle. She fights her inner demons, her heart and her mind to bring her to the answer that is best for her, and not for anyone else. Have to say I love love love a second chance romance. I adore small town books, the community always enraptures me and sucks me in. And as always I love a man who knows what he wants and goes after it.
This is a short read, but does not lack anything. It has depth, the characters are brilliantly constructed and the story has just enough 'what the' moments to keep me sitting on the edge of my seat. I have to admit that I read this in one sitting, mostly becasue I could not put it down. I wanted to see the happy ending, becasue I loved both of the characters so much and wanted them to find it.
As usual well done Nancy. I love having the opportunity to read your books and review them keep them coming.
In this novella that's the start of a new series we get a tale of lost dreams and rekindled romance between two people kept apart by their own stubbornness and cowardice. When fate intervenes ten years later will they be able to put past hurts behind them or will a secret come between them just when their HEA is within reach?
Kyle and Ronnie came from very different social circles but spent many torrid summers steaming up the countryside. Kyle knew she was his future but her doubts and her mother's pressure had her running away in the night and left him forever wondering what-if. When she returns battered and bruised he comes to her rescue and fights for their future once again. His plan for claiming her revolves around lots of erotic encounters while getting her to admit her true feelings. Through everything Kyle remains strong in his beliefs of his love for her and is willing to give up everything to be with her. He's sweet and very forgiving despite all the hurt she caused. He's unquestionably supportive and protective and gave her the time to realize what was truly important to her. He definitely was the best part of the story!
Ronnie came from a family of wealth but lies between her parents set her on a self-destructive path that kept her from a HEA with Kyle. Her mother led her to believe things that were untrue and tarnished her happiness with Kyle through doubts. It's led to ten years of loneliness with no one to truly care about her. It also ruined her relationship with her father and took away her belief in fairytale love and HEAs. Her mother also carried a big secret that's now put Ronnie's life in jeopardy. Luckily she has Kyle's strength to lean on, if only she can put her stubbornness aside. Ronnie never let her wealth taint her interactions with the much poorer Kyle and their sweet friendship quickly turned steamy. She never listened to her heart though and let her mother sway her in many ways. I was disappointed that she never stood up for what she really wanted, instead she let assumptions rule her. I never really warmed up to her as she felt cold with emotions that never ran too deep.
This was a quick read with lots of erotic encounters that took away a bit from the story's emotional depth. Ms. Corrigan did a good job though laying the groundwork for their early interactions to make their rekindled relationship believable. The ending was a bit rushed with Ronnie's familial secret easy to discern as well as the villain's identity. Kyle is the true highlight of this story as he's everything a girl wants.....sweet, sexy, supportive, honorable, loyal, and close to his family. The brief interactions with his brother Wyn were playful and have me very excited to see more of this fun and flirty younger brother. Ms. Corrigan has crafted a solid start to the Sander's Valley series, and the sexy brothers who live there, and I'm greatly anticipating the next installment.

Kyle's world is turned upside down by the one person who he thought he would never see again. Just when you think you can sit down at a bar and get a drink and in walks your past.
Ronnie convinced herself that she could make a trip to her dad's cabin to hang some old paintings without rekindling an old flame. She finds herself in a precarious position, forcing her hand.
The love between these two characters is so genuinely sweet, but their stubbornness left a lot to be desired. Just when they are both about to give in to the other, crap hits the fan and puts a major obstacle in their way.
What I liked about this book is that each character had their own quirks, personality and struggles. The characters were down to earth and exactly what you see in a contemporary romance. The sex scenes were hot right from the beginning.
Where this book kinda failed for me was that the ending felt a little abrupt. I felt like a little more development in the backdrop story would have given this book a little more depth. We are fed a bit of mystery through out about the events leading to Ronnie's return but it never really came full circle for me. I give this one four fangs!
Such a good short romance and a second chance at love book!
UPDATE: Nancy Corrigan is becoming a new favourite of mine recently....she's knocking out some right books for folk to read. It was a short read for me, as I read it in one sitting :) yes, I was that engrossed.
Ronnie and Kyle dated when they were younger, 10 years have passed without a word to one another, when on one night Kyle sees Ronnie across that bar...
Why is she back? What are her reasons? Is she back for Kyle?
Kyle had a hole on his heart when Ronnie upped and left 10 years ago, he still bears the pain for the loss of her love, and now that she's fleeting through, he's more determined than ever to win his girl back.
If you love a good romance, and a second chance at love, then Love Repeated is the one for you!
++ I received an advance copy of Love Repeated in exchange for an honest review ++ I enjoyed reading about Ronnie and Kyle's unexpected reunion. Nancy had me captivated from the start and did a fabulous job revealing little hints at a time. It would have been very easy for her to do a massive info dump but she handled it masterfully. Not only do we learn what brought Ronnie back to Sanders Valley after so many years but we also learn what drove them apart. One hint: it wasn't the sex. That is hot and plentiful! Kyle's love and devotion to Ronnie is solid but we're left wondering if they'll have a chance at a happy ever after right up until the very end. After meeting Kyle's family, I can easily see how Nancy will have more stories in this series and I look forward to reading those as well!
Can you find your true love at seventeen years old? Kyle certainly thought Ronnie was his one and only until she left him to go off to college. Coming from two different worlds never stopped Kyle and Ronnie from loving each other but it did cause them to split up. Ten years later Ronnie is back in Sander's Valley and Kyle will not let her leave him for a second time. Ronnie never wanted to leave Sander's Valley but she also wanted to make more out of her life than being a small town wife. Love Repeated is a great start to what looks like is going to be a great series about small town love and sexy couples.
I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads
This is the first in a series by the prolific Ms Corrigan.
After ten years apart, Ronnie and Kyle find that actually their love never died. But will they overcome the issues which drove her away the last time? This novella paints an interesting picture of how different backgrounds mould people, and just how hard it is to break the pattern. Most enjoyable read and I look forward to the next in the series.
This book hit close to home for me as I read Ronnie and Kyle's story. I felt every emotion that this author intended for you to feel while reading her book. It was sweet, but yet bittersweet. The heartache, the love lost. But to get a second chance with the one you have loved and have always loved, what will it cost. What will bring these two back together? A sweet/bitter sweet love story to not miss!
What an amazing second chance love story!! I just fell in love with this couple. In the beginning I wasn't sure. The story slowly pulled me in and then Corrigan had me! I couldn't put the book down and I am dying to get my hands on the next book. This story was sweet, loving, and oh so HOT! I would love to visit Sanders Valley.
I have to honestly say at first I could not make up my mind if I liked Ronnie Axel. She was a hard one to understand. But as the story went on I think I got to understand her more and more. Even felt some of her pain.
As you are reading this book you will fall in love with Kyle Sander. He was one that was so in love with Ronnie. He longed for her for so many years and my heart broke for him. He at one time had wanted to marry her, well until she skipped town on him. She truly broke his heart.
Kyle could tell by the bruises there was something going on with Ronnie but he was not certain what and it was not like Ronnie was going to tell him. It seemed liked getting a straight answer out of her was like pulling teeth.
Kyle was determined to try to win her heart. I love that he had a second scene when it came to if she was in trouble or not. The problem is it seemed the more he tried to win her heart and make some progress she would start to pull away. At some point he had to wonder what a good ole country boy like him had to offer some rich girl like her.
This was a great story and I so feel in love with Kyle and Ronnie’s story.
tale of love lost and found. This story tells the story of Kyle and Ronnie and how they over apart for ten years. Theirs is a story of redemption and passion and how two remarkable people mended their lives together. Well thought out. Well written characters. Excellent story . A must read for lovers of romance.
I did not realize that I had read this before and hated it then too. Rich city girl Ronnie falls in love with country boy Kyle but breaks off the relationship before he proposes due to family obligations and wanting different things in life. Ten years later their paths cross. Does not get any better the second time around either.
The pull and tug between Ronnie & Kyle made for interesting reading. Add in the uncertainty with her family legacy, and you have a book that is quite entertaining.
First love, last love. Conflicted because of family dynamics, intrigue that keeps them apart. Their love for each other remains. Chance meeting brings it to the surface. I enjoyed watching them find their way back to each other.
Took a while to warm to the book and I liked Kyle but found Ronnie to be full of contradictions. Few red herrings but the mystery of Ronnie mother and father took up too much of the story with minimal explanation. Will look at next book.
Good sized book with tonnes of loving, well writen and romantic but definately adults only. Sweet love story about first love, sacrifice and lifes obligations and how they can cloud and tangling relationships.
All three books in this series were ok reads. They had mystery, suspense and a lot of hot loving. They just seemed like there should have been more to the story. Ending seemed rushed.
I made myself finish this one, but I really didn't like it. I didn't like either of the main characters and I can't even describe this as romance. I dislike when one person thinks they know what is better for another, and I didn't like that Kyle didn't respect how Ronnie felt.
