This is the conclusion to the story of Cadence and Barrick. Cade still has her emotions and life in turmoil but she comes to terms with knowing this is the place she is to be and that home is on Gran's farm and the people who love each other. Cade grows and matures, but she also has a few setbacks. Barrick is there for her and Jade remains a friend through it all. As with life Cade experiences more life than she expected, some of love and others of loss. She continues to dance and go to school. Barrick continues to be there for Cade and they continue to get closer to each other.
There is so much to the ending of the story and for that you will have to read the books.

Personal Response:
I can relate to this book because I am a dancer, farmer, and a girlfriend just like Candence. She goes through some situations that I have also gone through, but also some I have not. I enjoyed how the author kept building up the relationship between Barrick and Candence, but also had some down points with them. I like how the book uses modern day things like the Joffery Ballet and the song "My Church." Overall this book is a good realistic fiction of something that could happen in today's world.

Plot Summary:
Candence comes home and has to explain to her mom and grandma why she left New York early. She says that they are all stuck up self centered people who are very greedy. Barrick becomes even more close to her and soon enough they are dating. Barricks sister becomes Candence's best friend and dance partner. They work on a duet together and put in many hours to perfect the dance. Barrick takes Candence to homecoming and prom so that she can get a feel of how it is like in the south. Barrick and Candence pick a "spot" to call their own and is a spot to just drive to a talk. On Candence's birthday Barrick takes her around town to all the little shops, and her friends set up lights and a country style date in their "spot". A few weeks later it is time for Barricks sister and Candence to perform their duet in a competition. The end up winning and everyone is happy. In the end Candence realizes that you need to stay humble and not take for granted the things you have in your life.

Characterization:
Candence is the main character, and she is a teen girl from New York who moved down south to her Grandma's farm. At the beginning of this book she had just realized who she used to be, and how all of the people in New York are selfish. Throughout the book she develops qualities of leadership and she is respectful and responsible. Barrick is a teen boy who likes Candence a lot. In the beginning of the book he goes out of his way to pick Candence up really early in the morning.

Recommendation:
I recommend this book to teen girls between the ages of twelve to fifteen because there are some high school concepts that can be difficult to understand if you are younger. I also think you would like this book if you are a dance because the main character is a teen dancer. I give this book five out of five stars because the story builds up and up as the book goes on.

"Change is hard, but remember that change is what makes life an incredible journey." Barrick Carpenter

Part 1 needs to be read first in order to understand everything!

So Cadence Lewis has returned to Delight, North Carolina after spending the holiday in New York. She has realized that the people she thought once cared for her and had her back never really did. Upon finding out that her best friend isn't really her bestie and her dad is having a baby with another woman she can't get back to Delight fast enough. Knowing that she has people there that love and care for her makes her next few decisions harder. Cade was only suppose to stay long enough to graduate high school and escape back to the city but once she realized that's not where she belongs she starts questioning it...it also doesn't help that she's fallen in love and doesn't want to leave her family and new friends. It's always been about dance.

Barrick Carpenter didn't plan on falling in love with the sassy city girl who came to town thinking she was better than everyone else. But doing chores together and spending time together brought the 2 unlikely people together. He soon turns into cades confident while feelings develop. The 2 become inseparable and both know their futures involve each other. Barrick makes cadence see there's truly more to the country life and in life in general than holding grudges and designer handbags.

This is truly an amazing book. Much like Caseys other reads you can't help but get sucked in! You fall in love with the sassy talking Cadence, sweet charming country boy Barrick, and you can't forget spitfire gran who is in a league of her own. Peeler brings to life the country scene and makes you want to ride off into the sunset with a mason jar filed with sweet tea and a cowboy. Like Tutus and Cowboy boots part 1&2, Southern Perfection, & Charley series they deserve more than 5 stars and deserve to be read because if you haven't picked up any of her reads you are truly missing out!

Awesome read. I laughed, cried, and swooned over these characters. I couldn't wait for part 2 and it definitely was worth the wait.......
We left Cadence and Barrick when Cadence came home early from her trip to New York. Cadence had been looking forward for her trip thinking that was where she would be happier, which turned out to be wrong. Barrick is there for Cadence and tries to get her to let him in. Cadence puts all of her effort in to school and her dance. Just when we think she has found her happy place, she is tested with demons she wishes she could hate forever but her wise and witty Gran helps her too see that to be truly happy you need to let go of the past, the more you dwell on what happened and what could of happened the more power it drains from you. Things keep popping up that causes Cadence to feel that every step foward seems that she was having to take two steps back. Then cames "the straw that breaks the camels back", Cadence blows up not knowing what to do, but gets some needed advice from her dance instructor. But what will Cadence do?

To find out what Cadence does read Tutus & Cowboy Boots. Truely a great read and a very talented author.

Tutus & Cowboy Boots: Part Two
By: Casey Peeler
Narrated by: Ariel Royce, Christopher Rourke

Casey Peeler brings romance and life to our ears with the conclusion to her Tutus and Cowboy Boots duet! We pick up where we left off, (no this isn't a standalone, so make sure to listen to the first book) And Berrick is picking up Cadence at the airport after an unhappy visit to her dad's house. Realizing life is changing, and most importantly that she is changing, she begins to make her home in North Carolina. I am in love with this story for a couple of reasons. The first is Cadence. While an independent, confident woman, she is extremely vulnerable. Her understanding that life is more than stuff is a breath of fresh air. Next, Berrick. What a swoony young man! He is attentive, protective and extremely loving. His thoughtfulness is something to strive for. And his sister, Cadence's mom and grandmother, and her dance teacher all add that something extra. The show stealers though are Daisy and Paisely, the cows. This coming-of-age story is a tug to the heart and wonderful!

Narrated by Ariel Royce and Christopher Rourke, we are treated to an amazing narration. These two are wonderful together, their voices complimenting each other. They have brought a great variety of voices to the story and made it easy to follow and full of emotion. Their storytelling truly enhanced the story and made for a pleasurable listen.

Masterpiece

I loved both part 1 & part 2 of these books. The author captured all the feelings of a young girl disappointed by the way life “turned” on her. Through all the heartbreak and lessons in life and love, Cadence finds her way in the story and in doing so, overcomes so many emotional barriers with the help of Barrick and his sister, her grandmother and her Mom, along with learning a out life in general. An excellent read...everyone should read these 2 books!!

Great two book series

This book was just as good as the first one. Being up rooted, especially by divorce is so hard for children. Especially teenagers starting their senior year. Very insightful story. Well written.

4.5 Delightful Stars!!!

I've been waiting for this book since I finished Part 1 back in January. I actually kind of stalked Ms. Peeler a little bit asking, "when, when, when" will we get Part 2 because I had to see how this all turns out.

Well, Book 2 picks right up where we left on in Book 1 and Cadence has had an eye-opening visit back "home." Although after this visit, she realizes NYC isn't home anymore and it's more about where the people she loves the most are...they all just happen to be in Delight.

Watching Cadence change from the spoiled young woman to a caring, nurturing and lovable woman was so wonderful. Ms. Peeler does an excellent job of bringing us into the story and the lives of her characters. Cadence still wants to dance, but maybe there's other places she can do that and not just in a big city like NYC. She and Jade are hotter than ever and they're putting in a ton of hours to get their routines down so they can make it to Nationals. Barrick and Cadence are finding out that there's more to their friendship than just friends and it's reciprocated on both sides.

Watching them dance around each other, both literally and figuratively, was a joy. Their relationship is sweet and hot at the same time if possible. It's clear they belong together but there are some hurdles they have to get over, mostly on Cadence's side. Is she ready to be a country girl all the time or is something holding her back from making that full transition and wearing cowboy boots?
"I laugh like I haven't in a long time and when the song ends, he pulls me in close, looks into my eyes and as his lips cover mine I fall harder and harder for this delightful country boy."
One of the most endearing qualities I LOVED about Cadence was her connection to Daisy the cow. Yes, a cow! There seemed to be some affinity between these two. Almost like Daisy understood every wood Cadence said to her. Even better, Daisy is pregnant and it almost seems like she's waiting to make sure Cadence is there before giving birth.

As the days and weeks go by, Cadence has lots of decisions to make...does she want to stay in Delight? What would happen to her and Barrick if she were to move away to dance? All I know is that Cadence does a lot of growing up and changing and has some "aha" moments....
"In that moment, something inside me changes. I'm no longer the girl I planned to be. I'm now the girl I was destined to be."
Those words embody everything Cadence has gone through in the year since they've moved to Delight. What does the future hold for her and Barrick? Will they have their HEA? Only way to find out is to read this book for yourself.

Enjoyed this more than the first. For me this shows how much Cadence really has matured and grew. I began to love who she was becoming. Jade was as feisty and fun as ever but it was Barrick who stole the show in this tender romance.

Cadence was a ball of emotions trying to figure out where she fit, who was there for her and how to forgive. Throughout it all Barrick was there by her side. He was kind, thoughtful, sweet, generous and supportive. He listened and didn’t judge or think less of her feelings or dismiss them. Instead he let her use him as a sounding board and when she blew like a top at him and hurt his feelings after Daisy he let it go and was her rock and understood. He was loving and supporting no matter what. His love knew no bounds and he was truly a great guy. So thoughtful and kind. I felt just as protective of him as his sister Jade. The way Casey Peeler wrote him has you want to protect his heart and see him find someone to treat him with love, kindness and be worthy of this wonderfully sweet thoughtful and loving character. As we see Cadence grow she becomes that for Barrick. She sees what it means to have love and a family. She sees what a support system is and where she wants to be and she learns to forgive and let herself love and be loved.

We watch Cadence work through life issues of a senior. Where will I go to school? what do I want for my future? But she had more due to her move and her unsteadiness with her dad. She was conflicted over him and her parents divorce. Barrick was there for her.

We watched them fall in love. Saw them deal with heartache and forgiveness. Saw them weather what to do about their future and come out stronger and more supportive. We saw them grow and mature. Cadence more than Barrick. Barrick showed us what a good honest guy is. One that loves wholeheartedly and cares about others. He shows patience and honesty at all times. He is beautiful inside and out. that is what Cadence needed so she can work through things. She needed to see that not everyone is false but true to themselves and others as well.

the character after Barrick I loved was Gran. She was a hoot. I loved her candor. I think for both Barrick and Cadence she was a guide. She kept it real and honest for them and they learned alot from her. I would love to see more of this couple as they navigate college and beyond.

A wonderful nicely paced adorable and refreshing story of love, family and finding your way. Of growth and forgiveness and seeing a young man like Barrick love and guide Cadence was not only refreshing but beautiful as well.

**Josie's Review 4.5 STARS**

It is important that you read part 1 Tutu and Cowboys prior to reading this review, it may contain spoilers.

I have been waiting to get my hands on part 2 of Tutu and Cowboys since I finished part 1 months ago. We pick up right where we left off, Cadence had returned to Delight North Carolina from her terrible trip to New York City. So where do I start with this review, we see so much growth in Cadence in this book and Barrick. I thought I loved him in book 1, well day-um in this 2nd part the boy stole the show!

Cadence is still reeling from the news that her father is leaving the country, getting remarried and is going to be a father again. Cadence feels so betrayed by him and the only thing she can think of is to go home to her mother, grandmother, Barrick and her friends in Delight. Cadence never imagined Delight as being her home, but she has grown to love Delight and everything it has to offer. Having Barrick around to show her just how special she is helps as well. Cadence spends her time dancing, helping out on the farm with Jade and Barrick. I loved the new and improved Cadence. She lives for the simpler things in life and she treasures and values her family and friends a lot more than she used to. She finds love and a confidant in Barrick.

Barrick, where do I start with this one? Gosh, he knows Cadence is different and that she is fragile. He handles his relationship with her differently. He takes tries to make every moment with her special no matter what if it’s planning a date or just doing chores around the farm. He never imagined he would fall in love with the snarky city girl, but he has and because of Cadence he sees a future he never saw before. What I really love about this part is not only does Cadence’s character show growth but Barrick as well.

The future for Cadence and Garrick comes faster than either imagined, and both are left wondering if that future will take them there together. Cadence and Barrick adventure to understanding and love is filled with laughs and tears, mud tossing, highs and lows. It is a love that will last a life time. I loved the ending of this book, I loved the cows Daisy and Paisley, and sexy cowboy boots. The writing was amazing and this story was beautiful. I can’t help but think, although Cadence and Barrick story had ended that maybe we will see them again in the future?

Cadence and Barrick’s story continues in this novel. It was so sweet to be able to reconnect with these two. Cadence Lewis has never been a country girl. She’s from New York City, and moved with her mother to her grandmother’s house in the small town of Delight, North Carolina. There she meets Barrick Carpenter, a breathtaking man who works on her grandmother’s farm. Cadence and Barrick begin to spend a lot of time together when Cadence makes an abrupt trip home from her vacation to New York City. Barrick is always there to comfort her, and now is when she needs it most. She’s been having problems with her dad, and Barrick has always been there for her. Cadence continues to dance, along with her partner Jade, who happens to be Barrick’s sister. They are preparing for competitions and recitals, so Barrick and Cadence aren’t able to spend a lot of time together. But the time they do spend together is precious. They hang out at night at The Loft and spend time with each other on the farm. Barrick notices a huge change in Cadence’s behavior. At first, she was hesitant to help in any way, but now she’s always out there, bright and early, with a smile on her face. She even begins to form a bond with one of the cows on the farm, Daisy. She sits and talks to Daisy, who is due at anytime to deliver her calf. Cadence begins to find herself and who she truly is, and how this small town has completely changed her. With college applications and graduation on the horizon, Cadence needs to take a step back and realize what she truly cares about, and that’s Barrick. As their relationship grows deeper, will they be able to stay together through all the obstacles thrown their way? Has Cadence truly changed into a country girl?
This was a fabulous read! I absolutely love reading and catching up with both Cadence and Barrick, since they’re such likeable characters. Don’t forget to read the beginning of their story, with Tutu’s and Cowboy Boots!

This is an excellent book, we pick up right where we left off in book one (so don’t start this one until you’ve read Part 1.)

Cadence returns to North Carolina with a new outlook on life, she’s recognized that her friends from back home are stuck-up and materialistic something that she hopes to never be again. On top of dealing with that her dad announced that he was having a baby which breaks Cadence’s heart since he didn’t want to spend time with her. Her plan all along was to finish school in North Carolina and then head back to New York to peruse her dancing career. Now, everything has changed and Cadence is reevaluating what she wants with her future. The only thing she knows for sure is that she wants Barrick in her life. Barrick is who Cadence calls to get her from the airport and he proves his support and love for Cadence by being by her side while she deals with her family and friend drama – bonding them. The two become inseparable and Cadence really begins to appreciate life on the farm.

This is such a sweet romance, I was sucked in from the first page of part 1 and had been anxiously awaiting part 2 only to devour it! This is one that will send you on an emotional roller coaster of tears and laughter. The author did a phenomenal job and I look forward to reading more from Casey Peeler.

Casey Peeler has created nothing but pure southern perfection with her conclusion of Cadence and Barrack's story in Tutus and Cowboys Part Two. Peeler writes a story of a young girl in the deep south that reminds me instantly of my own upbringing, morals and beliefs. This book had me laughing at our southern ways but also being thankful for our deep rooted southern beliefs.
Peeler's ability to write such touching characters is one of the reason I continue to support and go back to this author with each new release. She made me feel as if I was sitting at the table receiving advice from my very own grandmother who was so much like Ms. Mae. Her wonderfully romantic male lead, Barrack made me remember dating in a small town where nights were spent under stars listening to crickets. If only they were truly that romantic! But most importantly, Peeler made me fall in love- with her characters, their southern roots and the ties that bind Cadence to Delight, NC. Tutus and Cowboys is most definitely a book that you must read just to experience true southern life through the eyes of a young girl as she grows to realize what matters in life. I couldn't begin to tell you how much I loved this story, it's message and it's power to make you remember what matters.

OMG if for some reason you didn't fall in love with Barrick in book one....you Def will with part two!! He is the absolute sweetest guy ever and he is now one of my top book boyfriends!! Cadence is definitely a lucky girl!!

When book one ends Cadence has just returned from her trip to New York. It opened her eyes to alot of things she thought she wanted and needed. Will her relationship with her dad improve at all? Will she choose to stay in Delight NC for college or will she go to Boston? Will her and Berrick continue their relationship or will they part ways? Will Cadence finally become a country girl or is she destined to be a city girl for life?

Gran is still definitely my favorite character, she is such a hoot!! My grandma was just like her!! I loved Jade and I think every one deserves a friend just like her!! I can't wait till she gets her own book. Will Aaron still be her future or is she destined to be with someone else? I was sad to see Tutus and Cowboy Boots end bc I loved everyone so hopefully with Casey's future books we will see more of all of them, especially Barrick and Cadence!!

Amazing job Casey!! You have definitely gained a new stalker.....I mean reader haha!!

After an eventful trip home that broke her heart , Cadence is back in Delight and realising that even being here a few months it has really changed her in all aspects especially as during her trip home she felt distance from her used-to-be best friend , her dad is off to Sweden to start a new life and family and it seems that while she is in New York she can't help but think of Barrick who they are finally getting it on as a boyfriend/girlfriend scenario and Jade - Barrick's twin sister and her best friend. During this time Barrick and Cadence start to get closer and closer, but as graduation nears - questions about the future will arise as Cadence has always wanted to dance but now when the opportunity arises will she take the chance in Boston or will she turn it down to apply for colleges where she can be with the ones she cares about and loves ? Our hearts stop a beat when Barrick finds Cadence's grandma on the barn floor ? Will we as we turn the pages be saying goodbye to Granny ? Will Cadence find it in heart the power to forgive her Dad and let him back in ?

Part #2 was a great conclusion to Tutus and Cowboy Boots and if you are like me and love Teen Romances, Dancing and of course Country Music - then you will love Casey Peeler's 2 Part Series .

A great conclusion to Berrick and Cadence's story we pick up right where we left off in book one. Casey Peeler really tugged at my heartstrings with this one as we saw Cadence really grow in the aftermath of her disastrous trip back to New York. It makes her realise that what she has back in Delight is real she has people that care about her especially Berrick but she's still scared of being hurt so at times she tries to push him away but he's having none of it he definitely has his work cut out but he's determined to fight for what they have.
I have to say the secondary characters in this book are a fabulous asset and I just love Cadence's grandmother. If your looking for a great YA read then this is definitely for you.

**I RECEIVED AN ARC IN EXCHANGE FOR AN HONEST REVIEW**

Let me tell you, I was happy when I received the ARC! Casey just left me (and the rest of you) hanging at the end of Tutu's & Cowboy Boots Part 1.

I love how it started off with the ending of Part 1 - and picked right up. In Part 2 Cadence does A LOT of growing up. She's not as snotty as she was in Part 1 :) Some disappointments come up and it causes Cadence to do a lot of thinking.

Barrick - dayum! Can that boy get any sweeter? He's the guy we all want our daughters to end up with!

There is only one thing I didn't like about this book.....ready for it???

IT ENDED!!!

Job well done Casey! I have loved every one of your books and look forward to more :)

This was the perfect follow up for this series! I love Cadence and her attitude. Monogram and chevron is definitely a southern thing! I was able to connect with those details being a Florida girl then moving to South Carolina. I was just as shocked as Cadence. Now I am doing the same! Her love for Barrick deepens. She and jade's friendship is one to last a lifetime. Gran has lightened up, but she keeps her nose in her business to keep Cadence on the right path. Go Gran! I love the surprises Barrick does and the help he gets to pull them off. Prom... Amazing! I love their future together. The situation with her dad is a good lesson. I hope to read about them as adults whether a part three or in another book because they are so fun!

I have been waiting for this followup book. So glad it picked up right where the other left off.
Barrick and Cadence are just the cutest, sweetest couple. They go through big life lessons together finding young love along the way. Coming from a totally different world Cade has to face a lot of changes that didn't make her happy. She soon learns that sometimes change is what you need to find true happiness. All the things she thought she wanted maybe aren't so important. Love and friendship are more important than anything money can buy.
This was a sweet story that made me laugh and brought me to tears. I almost feel silly crying over a cow but Daisy & Paisley broke my heart!
I will definitely be looking for more from this author!

Perfect Follow-Up

This is an excellent example of Young Adult fiction that is appropriate for the age it was written about. I loved the characters and how all the relationships built throughout the story. Barrick and Cadence have such a beautiful dialogue and actually face typical issues. It makes for a relatable and believable coming of age plot. There is enough drama, angst, love, sadness, humor and maturity in the story that it was just all around fantastic. These are characters that I could definitely read about later if Casey Peeler decided to revisit them or possibly further with a book for Jade, Barrick's sister.

As we continue to experience the journey Barrick and Cadence had been taking us, I'll be first one to say it has been an incredible one.

Cadence comes face to face with an eye opening realization she is not the same person she thought she was. Everything has change in her life and that includes her relationship with Barrick.

This two young love birds will teach you how true love will conquer everything. For me this has been an incredible, unforgettable story. I truly love it and can't wait for you to experience it too.

Tutus & Cowboy Boots Part 2 picks up where part one left off. It can not be read as a standalone, you must read part one first. Cadence has returned to North Carolina from New York with a different view on life. I really liked to growth Cadence's character. She seems like a different person in this one. I loved that her and Barrick went from friendly playful wars to dating. Gram is always there with advise, which I loved. If you read the first one, you'll love this one too.

4 1/2 Stars!!

I couldn't have asked for a better ending!! I was hooked, and wasn't ready for the story to end! It was a emotional rollar coaster ride!! I laughed one minute and then cried the next! Casey Peeler did a excellent job with with this series! Cadence truly found herself in this book! I loved seeing her character develop and grow! And Barrack completely stole my heart! He couldn't have been any more perfect! And living in North Carolina myself it was still amazing to read about places so near to me! This book truly captures the essence of the south! I highly recommend this book!

This is a beautiful contemporary romance that brings back the sweetness of romance.

This is the second installment and brings the conclusion of this series. It was a great story of knowing what is sitting in front of you but not thinking clearly because you think you are doing the right thing but not talking to the other party.

This book allows you to see both sides of the story, it takes you on a journey of growing up and makes you laugh, cry and jump for joy when you have finished.
