Earth and fire unite in paranormal ritual so hot that sand melts to glass and meteors fly across the sky.

Jace Fialko decided long ago he’d never try to mate again. He knows firsthand how the magical foreplay–the duel for sexual equality can turn deadly. He tempts fate when a stubborn, sinfully tempting earth-witch gets into trouble and can’t resist being her hero. She’s prickly as a badger, lives in an Earthship, and has secrets deeper than the crevices she carves into the sand.

Terra needs to hide her talent. Alone in the desert for years, she knows better than to fall for an arrogant, sexy, flame-throwing alpha male. Her potent dark power could destroy them both, yet every moment she spends with him, makes her desperate to join with him. When an evil clan tries to take her mine full of turquoise, she must learn to fight back or lose everything, including Jace.

Haven’t read book one yet? No worries. Read the series in any order.

WARNING: Book contains mature themes, steamy, sexual scenes and graphic language.

Amazon Best Seller Stella Marie Alden loves Zumba, yoga, watercolor painting, and all genres of romances.

Her first book, ‘How to Train Your Knight’, won Romance Writers of America coveted Molly and Show me the Sparks Contests, and placed in four others.
Truly remarkable, considering she’s only been writing for three years.

Growing up in Vermont, she loved to make up stories. Crayons fought each other over size and placement in their cardboard box and imaginary friends crowded the house. Her brother often complained. “Tell her no one’s here, Mother.".

Her career paths have varied. She’s been a librarian, a classical clarinetist wanna-be, recording studio engineer, broadcast electronics repairman, and now she architects software programs.

She lives in Bergen County, NJ with her life-long hero and their two cats. Her two girls are grown but ever supportive. You go Mom!

To say Terra felt the earth move when she met Jace Fialko really isn’t as far-fetched as it seems. Terra has been hiding out living the life of a hermit, avoiding any and all witches, her very life depends on it. When Jace enters her life, the handsome fire witch ignites feelings in Terra that she cannot succumb to. She can trust no one, because her enemies want her, her secrets and her talents and they will stop at nothing to get them, by any means necessary.

Jace has a dark past he cannot forget, and there is something about Terra that terrifies him, emotionally, but when push comes to dangerous shove and Terra’s whereabouts is exposed, these two must stand together against forces much greater than they could imagine. What they must do is the last thing either of them wants, but sometimes necessity makes strange bedfellows and sometimes Fate knows best of all! What will happen when Terra’s hidden dark power comes to light? How can Terra protect herself from the one man who she should always feel safe with? What twisted plans does he have for her? How will Jace feel when he discovers her secret?

The cauldron of creation is sizzling when two souls find their perfect half and the chemical reaction is nothing short of explosive! Dark Tremor proves that Stella Marie Alden and Chantel Seabrook can conjure bewitchingly enchanting reading as a team! To call Terra feisty and headstrong is like calling a gargoyle hard-headed. And Jace, the Fire witch? Can you say type casting? He is hot, a bit of a bad boy and together these two are simply electric! Ms. Alden and Ms. Seabrook have another hit that will leave their fans panting for more!!

I received this copy from Chantel Seabrook in exchange for my honest review.

I really like this fantasy romance. This second book in the Mated by Magic series is just as fun, fast-paced, sexy, and action-packed as the first. You don't have to read the first book, Dark Vortex, to understand this one, but I recommend it. I like how the witches in this series have unique, elemental magic and a dangerous mating ceremony. They also have a fascinating society with clans and a Council.

What really matters - in this story, at least - is the Summer Solstice. This is when male and female witches go into a "solstice heat" and can find their mates, also known as their magical match. Jace has no desire to find his mate, and Terra doesn't either. Jace is gunshy after a tragic accident many solstices ago. Terra lives like a hermit and is hiding from the world, especially from men. I thoroughly enjoyed how these two butted heads while trying to get through multiple brushes with the bad guys.

I love the ways the black turquoise helped as well as harmed people. It's fascinating how Terra's earth magic and Jace's fire magic blend and create some awesome effects. I wish there had been more information about how two people's magics combine and augment each other, especially when they have the same element.

I'm not sure if the author did any research into the Native Americans in Nevada. I am a little offended by how Falcon's tribe and language are never given a name. Are they Paiute? Or pure fiction?

Several typos. Some are really funny. "She WAIVED the gun in his direction." Also, the word "capisce" was spelled "gabeesh.". Wovoka and Wovaka appear equally, so this characters name is confusing.

I offered to review this audiobook because I am such an an avid reader but also almost exclusively audio due to my schedule. Because of this, I can be critical of narrators. Especially when books have a single narrator required to speak with different voices for multiple characters. Most cannot do it without having some errors where they use the wrong 'voice' for the wrong character. I am a true believer in the fact that a bad narrator can destroy a great book and have turned away several books with good ratings because of just that. The narrator in this book did a great job, so I was able to listen to the book without issue.

Next is the story. I am not one to give a lot of specific story details since I feel you should read the story for that, and in this case, you won't be disappointed. This is book 2 in a great paranormal romance series, which has great characters and an interesting storyline that make you want to keep listening until the story is over. There is intrigue, suspense, and romance. What more can you ask for in a new series. Books 1 and 2 were great, so I am off to read book 3!

I received a free review copy of this audiobook and am voluntarily leaving a review.

The second book in the series takes you to Vegas and the deserts surrounding it as the youngest Fialko brother stumbles upon his mate. After a devastating loss during his first attempt to mate on the Solstice, Jace has no desire for a mate. Terra has spent her whole life hiding out in the desert fearful of her powerful Earth powers. But when Jace discovers that Terra knows the location of unique dark turquoise that could change the balance of power of the witch clans, he is forced to team up with her to prevent the corrupt local clan from seizing power. Calling on his brothers for help leads to an unexpected turn in events that puts everyone in danger. The mating call of the Solstice heats things up between Jace and Terra leading to them literally shaking the world when the mate. These were two great characters that have to overcome losses early in their lives if they are to reach their full potential and be able to come together to stop the bad guys and accept the love that is developing between them. Fast-paced and full of action this story will have you on the edge of your seat. I can't wait to read about the next brother to find his mate!

This book is left me speechless, Jace and Terra story is like a runaway coming home. They're a deep connection and protective nature in Jace for Terra that's undeniable. As for Terra she really has been the one to go through the most changes. I have to say the devil himself (Terra's dad) got his just dessert as well as Nicole. Above all my heart goes out to Josh, he was a man of his word and loved Nicole deeply. I can't wait to listen and read along for his story. As for the narrator she was excellent.

When Jace meets Tara and he realize that she could be his mate, however the past keep him from going that road. The mated call is stronger and Tara is in danger and he has to protect what it is his. Fire and Earth combined to make an amazing story, full of action, adventure, steamy, romantic with a happily ever after.

Nice new version of witches

I really enjoyed the heroine in this story. Shane has so much baggage and she is vulnerable. The Fialko's are a bossy family, but good men art heart. The plot was rather convoluted and I would have liked a bit more action, but a fun read.

So much better than Dark Vortex. Jace and Terra were perfect. The scenes were descriptive, interesting, and unique. The story was awesome. It does get old with these women thinking they can go off on their own, but eh. I dealt with that.

This is the second book in the series but it can be read as a stand-alone. Terra is a witch and has been living alone and hiding her talent. Jace and Terra meet and sparks fly, Jace didn’t want a mate but what will he do now that Terra is his. Fast-paced, entertaining and steamy. I liked it.

Magic everywhere! Terra and Jace had a long road ahead of them and each came with their own baggage but it was fun listening to their story and how their relationship developed. I listened to the audio book and the narrator did a great job of bringing the characters to life.

Well if book one didn’t have you hooked you’ll be hooked by the end of book 2 now for book 3. Terra and Jace are easy to love characters and Mike well he was just one warped man. Falcon has a lot to answer for but he’ll get there.

Magically enticing

Loves confusing as it is but add magic and wow. What an adventure, terrifying with heartache but add love to the mix and its something else. I can't express how enticing this story is.

A good story of the trope

The characters and writing are good, as is the pacing. The characters interactions worked well.

It is true to the trope.

Four books total. Not a bad series of witches and warlocks falling in love with their powerful mates. A bit cheesy and predictable but a good read nonetheless

Whew ... gotta cool down now. This book was exciting, hot, sexy, sweet, suspenseful ... all of the above please!

I must say, I enjoyed Dark Vortex immensely, but I think this second book is on a different level. I just couldn't stop reading. I finished it yesterday and let it sit for a full 24 hours before reviewing, just to be able to form coherent thoughts. Here are the first thoughts that came to mind when the fog cleared:

Jace is one sexy sexy man. He starts out as your stereotypical bad boy, wanting only the physical aspect of relationships. He has a dark past when it comes to women, a past he can't seem to get off his mind.
Terra has spent her entire life in hiding, only having contact with a few select people. She's sweet and sassy and oh so very powerful. Powerful enough to give Jace a run for his money. Luckily, they're on the same side in the fight that's coming. That might not be enough, though. It isn't enough just to have both their powers present. If they're going to win, they need to combine them the only way they know how.

There are a ton of really cool things about this book, but I'm going to leave it at that. I can't do all your reading for you. Just buy the book!

This is the second in the series of Mated by Magic books by authors Alden and Seabrook which I have read. The first starred Jack and his mate Zoe. This book stars Jace, youngest brother of Jack and his mate (not at first but eventually) Terra. They meet in a highly unusual way. She is a witch of the earth, possessing power to create earthquakes. He is a witch of fire. He knows right away she may well be his mate. She does not. It takes her a while but finally they come together. The sexual scenes in the book are steamy. For that reason I do not recommend the book for teens or tweens.
Terra is the daughter of the bad guy in this story, her father Mic who is the leader of the earth clan of witches. He raped her mother. Her mother escaped him and hid out in the desert among healing witches. Turquoise and its power bring Jace and Terra together and almost kill him and her as well. I will not go into the continuity of the story or the ending because it would affect your reading and you must view those things yourselves. This is a good one. It is highly readable, well written and even if you do not normally read in this genre, it is very enjoyable. Be careful or you may find yourself seeking more of these witch stories.

I am really having a great time with Mated by Magic Series by Stella Marie Alden and Chantel Seabrook. The second book of the series Dark Tremor can be considered a standalone novel, this one focuses on the youngest of the clan Jace. Now Jace has his own issues with the idea of mating but that all unravels when he meets the feisty little earth witch Terra.
What happens when these feisty stubborn and opinionated two get together is epic. A strong story of how love will help you overcome even the worse guilt and learning how to trust again. Both are strong individuals who have to admit they need each other to heal and survive. Terra is hiding some guilt over her mother and Jace guilt from his first failed attempt at mating.
But that’s not all these two have to worry about. They also have to deal with a crazy power crazy stalker parent and deceit from close sources. Will it ever end so they can truly start enjoying the lives they both deserve? Lots of excitement and laugh out loud moments and let’s not forget what can happen when fire and earth powers merge!! Explosive is putting it mildly!!

I was gifted a complimenatary copy of 'Dark Tremor' from Chantel Seabrook, in exchange for an honest review.

'Dark Tremor' was my first read from either Stella Marie Alden & Chantel Seabrook, so I started reading the book unsure what I was in for... What an introduction to Stella & Chantel's books. 'Dark Tremor' is book 2 of Stella & Chantel's series "Mated by Magic", I haven't read book 1 yet but I was able to understand what was going to in this book... I have added book 1 to my TBR.

I enjoyed the suspense, action, paranormal... then the new idea for witches, all came together in a wonderful read. There was so much going on, keeping you needing to read just to find out what was going to happen next... making you read until the end just to get all the information that slowly leaks throughout the book. I NEED to read book 1, but also can't wait for the next book in the series.

This is the second book in the Mated By Magic series and it was magical!! I loved it and couldn't put it down.

This book stars Jace, youngest brother of Jack and his mate Terra. They meet in a highly unusual way. She is a witch of the earth, possessing power to create earthquakes. He is a witch of fire. As you can imagine with those two forces, it'll be a hot, powerful steamy story.

Jace recognises that Terra is his mate but will see accept him and complete the mating ritual? The sexual scenes in the book are steamy aand will make you want to find a sexy witch of your own. I highly recommend this book

** A free copy of the book was provided by the author in exchange for an honest review. **

Such a rush! Non-stop thrills from the beginning to the end. The characters are independent and self-sufficient who strengthen and support each other from the start. Beautiful imagery and breathtaking emotions drive this story. The "earth" magic scenes alone are spectacular! A one-sit read for me; that alone tells the tale of how deeply rooted I was in this story.

This series is great. Each book seems to pull you in more.

Jace's past haunts him and he has sworn he would never have a solstice mating. Terra is also hiding from her past. She has gone so far as to live out in the middle of a desert. But an accidental crash meeting with Jace will change everything in a second.

The book will pull you into their romance. And we get to see how much it will take for them to finally let go and do what is needed.

Received book from author for an honest review.
