DNF at 35% when the main characters still hadn't had a scene together beyond that first quick scene in the very beginning of the book. Dragged too much. Supposedly had 256 pages yet I got to 35% (chapter 13 of 45) and they still hadn't even had a conversation? Yeah, no.

Bronx and Eme - 5 stars
We met Bronx in an earlier book and I was very happy to finally get his story. We first meet 'Eme' when she was rock climbing just before Christmas in what turned out to be South Africa. From the prologue, we learn that she has been badly abused by her husband and that she had thought about suicide to get away from him. When she falls from the rock that she was climbing, she finally realized that she didn't want to die. Was this going to finally be her way to disappear?
Bronx has finally gotten to the end of his firefighter's training. Even though he has money, he has always dreamed of being a firefighter. After their swearing in ceremony and getting their diplomas, the new firefighters are tasked to clean up the area of all debris. When Bronx sees a new woman and falls in love at first sight (which he has always denied is possible), he ends up irritating her with his cocky jokes. Turns out, she is one of the trainers for the Fire Department and she is NOT interested in getting to know him at all. Although she is off limits and keeps rebuffing him, he continues to pursue her.
Eme Avalon has no intention of letting anyone in her life or her bed. She has secrets that she has to keep from everyone for her own safety and peace of mind. When they finally give in to their desires, will they be able to make a go of it or will her secrets get one - or both - of them killed? This book has a lot of twists and turns and will keep you on the edge of your seat. No cliffhangers!

Having been a fan of Lisa Ladew's writing in the past, I was eager to see a new book in the Rosesson Brothers series. Technically, this one can be read as a stand-alone since it really only involves Bronx and Emerald but I would recommend the other two in the series since they are mentioned. Having just graduated from the fire academy, Bronx is eager to begin his dream career. Even more so Bronx wants a chance to get to know his new training officer, Emerald. Eme has a past that she must carefully guard. Just as she is letting her guard down and thinking of a future with Bronx, her past comes knocking. This was another great romantic suspense with plenty of heat from Lisa Ladew! Can't wait to see what she has in store for the next brother or even the mysterious half-sister.

This author is horrible for my mental health lol. Her books make me a nervous wreck, but that's only because she wrote the characters so beautifully. I actually care about the fictional people I'm reading about. My honest opinion is that this one dragged a bit. I love that she developed the characters so well, but it took a bit to get to the nitty gritty of the story. It sure as hell didn't take any stars away from my rating though. Lisa Ladew is that darn good. I'm so glad I found her and fell in love with her work. Thank you recommended page on Amazon!

Can't get enough of Firefighter's !
I loved this book ! I've always had a thing for firemen 😉. Bronx and Eme's story was awesome. A few times my heart was in my throat not just from the sexy thoughts but from the excitement of wondering if Bronx would find Eme in time. A story well told is worth it in the end. This story was everything and more I expected from Lisa Ladew . One more author I'm so glad I pay for my Kindle Unlimited ! If you like 🔥 hot firefighter's 🔥 then this book is one you'll love.

This is book three following on the main storyline but following Bronx as he comes to the last bit of his training to be a fireman but also finds his true love, but she has many secrets she is not bad,trying to hide from a bad man but falling for a man who gets photograph allot could cause her problems, plus she finds it hard to tell him about her without lying.I loved the storyline it was gripping but was more focused on the fire station and her worry about her ex finding her then her ex and the fight.but a great read

Setting his own fires
Another great read in this series. Strong brooding men with hearts of gold. They may be rich, every woman's dream man but when they fall they lock on their target and never fail to miss their mark. The bond these brothers have is strong and they 'd walk thiugh hellfire for each other. This story again is full of twists and turns. I'm looking forward to the next book. Highly recommend this series

I loved Bronx's story, it kept me on the edge of my seat. The twist and turns, kept you going, I love that she help to get her self out of the grip of danger.

Twist and turns
Another great story by Lisa Ladew., Bronx is such a sweetheart and you want him to get the girl but with everything going on with Eme, you don't know who the bad guy is. Loved this book

Bronx Rosesson, a newly sworn in San Francisco firefighter, accidentally rubbed a gorgeous woman the wrong way. No matter what she kept pushing him away, but he won't take no for an answer. Eme intrigued Bronx, she was hiding something and the man wasn't going to stop until he discovered what it was.
Emerald "Eme" Avalon, a Lieutenant assigned to training, she has been running from her past for so long, she never completely trusted any man. All that changed when she met Bronx Rosesson, the sexy firefighter who threw her off guard with his persistence. With danger lurking around her, Eme wanted to keep Bronx away from her, in spite of her attraction to him.
Bronx's first day at the fire department he was stationed at didn't go so well, the Chief Isaacs was being a hardass and Bronx's colleagues didn't think he belonged because of his family name. Whatever they threw at him, Bronx showed them that he was no pushover. And that he was more than qualify for the job.
Eme escaped her abused husband, Dusan two years ago and had been doing everything to make sure he headed up in jail. But no one wasn't listening to her, it had to do with the fact that Dusan had money. He had many people in his pockets.
Bronx got injured on the job which put him on light duty, he wasn't allowed back out in the field for three weeks. He went to the chemical training that Eme was giving. Them coming face-to-face again was a beautiful surprise to them both.
They both volunteered at the Inner City, a center for boys and girls to keep them off the streets and out of gangs...As they spend mire time together, they realized they liked each very much and gave into their attraction.
Just as they were happy, Eme's past came back to tear them apart. What Dusan did know was that Bronx would never let anything happen to Eme even if it meant, putting his life on the line for her.
It was a pleasure to see the characters from the previous books again, love the family dynamic between Bronx and his brothers. My heart was breaking for Phoenix, hope we get his story soon.

This is an excellent KU library read and a great standalone addition to the Rosesson Brothers series. I thoroughly enjoyed it and recommend it. Bronx Rosesson has wanted to be a firefighter since he was five. Now at twenty-seven, he's made it through training and is assigned to a station as a probie. At a celebratory party, he meets a SFFD trainer, Eme, and is knocked speechless. But she wants nothing to do with him, or so she lets him think. Actually, Eme can't afford to get involved with a man, even if she wanted to. Because her husband, whom she ran from two years earlier, vowed he would never stop looking if she left him. And that he would kill her when he found her, after killing her mother in front of her. Her mother is hidden away in France, but Bronx is another story.

Good read. Bronx and Eme are a good couple together. He followed his dream of becoming a firefighter and met Eme at his after graduation celebration. He was totally smitten with her, she showed no interest. Eme had secrets she didn't wish to share with anyone and the best way to keep your secrets is to not share your life with anyone. She tried hard to stay away from Bronx and he tried just as hard to convince her to date him. Finally attraction won out, she agreed to date him. She soon realized he was not the spoiled rich boy she had heard he was, he was a good guy, really cared about her. Just as things are coming along, her past catches up with her, her husband finds her, kidnaps her and Bronx comes to her rescue.

A love-at-first-sight encounter at his graduating ceremony has him pining for the beautiful Lieutenant, Emerald 'Eme' Avalon. But Eme is beyond wary of rich men and holds a lot of secrets and lies close to her chest.
A good storyline, albeit a little iffy and rushed in places, featuring the other Rosesson brothers from previous books. Bronx is caring, kind, thoughtful and loving but he does come across as younger than his 27yrs at times. Eme's background and current situation raised a few eyebrows but overall it was readable with some heated sex scenes. Can be read as a standalone. Found it free.

Loved it, once again she has hit a home run. Just when I think I have found the couple I love the best she gives me two more. Loved Bronx and Eme story. Wonderful couple, he gives us a taste of humor, romance, and love. She gives us hope and dreams, and trust. Together they give us everything. But as the story goes the plot thickens and the suspense dangles just out of reach and pulls us all the way in. Steamy too. Passions rise....thanks Lisa can always count on what we are going to get from your books. Love love love them and love how we always get a taste of all our other wonderful characters from other books past.

All Bronx has ever dreamed of becoming a firefighter. Although everyone thinks of him as a rich spoiled guy, based on the successes of his father and brother, Bronx has worked hard to achieve his dream. As his probationary period begins, he sees Eme, a Trainer with the Fire Department.
Bronx is amazing. He's such a kind, considerate, goofy guy. He wants Eme, but isn't going to pursue her once she shoot him down. As Eme spends more time around Bronx, and sees the guy he really is, she starts to change her mind about him.
This is a great story. I couldn't put it down! Humor, romance, suspense, it has it all!
I can't wait for the next book in this series!

I received a The Firefighter's Secret Obsession from the author in exchange for an honest review. This is Bronx's story. Bronx Rosesson wanted to be a firefighter his whole life. Having to deal with the jeering of being a spoiled rich boy, he proved himself worthy of working for the San Fransisco Fire Department. Eme, a lieutenant in the SFFD has a troubled past. As their worlds collide, sparks fly. Will her past destroy them both?

Couldn't put it down
This author is one of my faves for sure. I love the stories she tells and how everything ties together. This story was no exception. This story made me anxious with what would happen next. I found myself having to walk away because it pulled at my emotions that much. I love how the author gives us a HEA and she does it so that we are spellbound by the journey. I cannot wait for what she writes next.

Eme and Bronx provide a great tale of love laced with secrets and lies. Eme has a secret that she can't tell and Bronx wants to break the shell that Eme has around her. After Eme begins to see that Bronx is not a spoiled brat she falls for him... hard. Then just when things begin for the two Eme's past comes back to haunt her and Bronx is forced to save her. Great love story with steamy scenes and suprising twists.

I loved this book! The 3rd Rosesson brother Bronx is so far my favorite. He is sweet, kind and a fireman. Emerald is hiding secrets that come bad to get her. The story is suspenseful and I could not put it down. This series is so good I can't wait for the next one. Dad is sure to be good. I would recommend any of Lisa Ladew's books to read.

Bronx is a hero, he is kind, caring and a firefighter. When he meets Eme their mutual attraction is HOT. Eme has secrets, will they prevent her giving Bronx a chance? With danger lurking Bronx will use everything at his disposal to save the woman who means everything to him. Another great read by Lisa Ladew.

Lisa can't write her books fast enough! Especially when there are firefighters involved:) I am so glad to finally get to read Bronx's story, as well as seeing past characters make an appearance. It has all you could want in a book: well developed HOT characters, suspense, and humor to just name a few. Can't wait to read which brother she writes about next!
