Ivailo Petrov (Bulgarian: Ивайло Петров) (19 January 1923, Bdintsi – 16 April 2005, Sofia) was a Bulgarian writer, who authored more than 20 books in his life. He is one of the greatest writers in Bulgarian literature. Among his most famous work are the novels "Wolf Hunt" (1982-1986), "Before I was born and other stories" (1968).

Ivailo Petrov is a recipient of multiple awards for his contributions to Bulgarian literature and culture. In 2006 a national literary prize was established in his honour.
