Stack Silver covers a lot of territory, without getting into much detail about any one topic. It discusses why now is a good time to buy precious metals, the advantages of various types (bullion, coins, etc), silver vs gold, scams to look out for, why to avoid "paper gold" (ETFs), etc.. But what I found useful was the more obscure topics such as how to compare storage vaults ("allocated" and "segregated" storage), how to minimize tax liability as it relates to precious metals, etc.

This book is great for the beginner who wants to invest in Gold and Silver but doesn't know where to start. I have no experience with purchasing Gold and Silver bullion but I feel confident I can now. It is a quick and straight forward 95 page read. I read it just this morning!
Stack Silver Get Gold addresses all aspects of purchasing silver and gold including how to spot scams and where to buy (local or online.) There is information on tax implications and privacy laws as well as safely storing your silver and gold. Also, which is better - silver or gold?
Included in the book is a section of references and web sites for further information. I received this book as a giveaway on Goodreads.

A very easy to read book that shows you how to start investing in the precious metals market. There's A lot to learn, and the author puts it all in simple to understand language. Following his suggestions and guidelines, I think anyone can be a successful gold and silver investor, and avoid the pitfalls of being a newbie investor.

This book does a great job of equipping you to start investing in precious metals. You’ll learn the basic do’s and don'ts of buying, selling, storing, and managing your metals.
For me the book did more than teach me the precious metals game. It ultimately set me on a path to becoming an individual investor. Before reading the book I was ignorant to investing, if for no other reason than the sheer intimidation factor of the learning curve. But I knew that I wanted to both have my money work for me and preserve my savings. As I write this review a year after finishing the book, I can tell you it helped turn those ideas into reality.

First Book About Gold and Silver I’ve Read
Hunter Riley’s book “Stack Silver, Get Gold” is incredibly easy to read and understand. He offers lots of useful information and points to many additional credible sources of information on the subject. Well worth the time and money invested in the book.

Goes into details into how to buy and what to buy. He shares his thoughts on crypto as well and how he invests into it. He goes in-depth into how to buy gold and silver as well as how to store them. Pretty good for anyone who’s in the next step of investing into some precious metals.

This is a very concise and to-the-point eBook about getting into buying silver and gold.
My husband and I have been toying with the idea for awhile but really not sure where to start, what to buy, or basically anything about it other than that we'd like to invest in them.
As a COMPLETE BEGINNER to the subject I found this really useful. A lot of the silver/gold books are huge and intimidating for beginner's so it was nice to dip my toes in a relatively small pool to start.
That being said it gave me a lot of good ideas, advice, and information packed into a small package and I can't help but think that some other books on the subject might have a lot of fluff because after reading this I felt ready to go ahead and start purchasing silver (waiting on gold for now).
Overall an excellent resource if you're a beginner. The information is probably a little too basic for those who are already investing in silver/gold so I'd really only recommend this to novices.

I read the April 2016 revised edition of Stack Silver Get Gold. The first edition was good but this new edition is much better. The author added about 60 new pages of gold and silver investing information. In the new version you'll learn:

*The kinds of gold and silver bullion you should buy and the scams to avoid and where/how to store your precious metals

*How to sell when you have to and taxes, reporting and privacy laws
*How to set up a secret offshore gold and silver account
The book is just over 100 pages long. Short and to the point but full of valuable gold and silver investing information and advice that you won't hear anywhere else.
