Holy hell, Cash. After reading Beautiful Disaster (yes you should read) I had hoped for a look at his brother Cash and man, be careful what you wish for! I got a look and so much more. I absolutely loved this book.
Cash the youngest of the three brothers is a champion bull rider and during a final championship ride he's critically injured, his recovery is nil mainly due to his own refusal for any help. From anyone, especially his family. He's isolated himself and run off every therapist his Father has hired and when the new one arrives he makes her life just as hellish as the rest. However... and it's a big however, when he meets Erin Stone there is something about her.
Erin is hired by Cash's father and she's good at what she does. Getting people back on there feet. Without therapy Cash won't walk unassisted again and the pain will never get better. Cash knows this, Erin knows this. Cash repeatedly doesn't show up for their scheduled times, disappears on her, offers to buy her off so she'll leave him alone. He just doesn't quit. Neither does Erin, so for a while these two do the dance, all the while fighting the attraction between the two. Cash makes the first and fast move, trying to snow her into thinking just a kiss will motivate him and he'll do whatever she wants. The dialogue between these two was insanely good and steamy as all get out. Meanwhile we get to meet the other family members, see Kellan and Ava again and meet Ryder who, well... I can't wait for his book. Cash and Erin are experts at avoiding uncomfortable conversations as well, Cash has some things he's hidden and offers them up, hoping Erin trusts him enough to open up to him.
So will she? Remains to be seen. Will the two of them continue to sling the proverbial bull crap at each other or will they both give in? Read this book!! Sigh!
I love Jessica's books and this one tops the list. It's got everything you want and so much more. I loved the dialogue between them, the chemistry is off the charts and the story itself is perfection. I loved that the book focuses on the two of them, and trust me there's enough there to fill another book on them. Read this book! It's a keeper and deserves more than 5 stars!
