Is there a fated path we follow, or is it simply a series of coincidental events?

Police officer Kellan Howard is rumoured to have spent too much time in sub-zero temperatures, leaving him with a block of ice for a heart and women lining up to help thaw it. Mountain climbing is his only love, leaving no time for a relationship, and although meaningless sex satisfies his physical need, it’s empty. When he attends a fatal traffic accident, he didn’t expect his entire life to change. Along with a final message, Kellan is offered something else from the dying man: the chance to fall in love. Kellan’s never considered being with a man, but when he meets Valentino, he’s instantly drawn to him.

Suffering from crippling agoraphobia, talented Italian artist Valentino has a solitary existence, only experiencing life outside the house through his partner Stuart. When their relationship comes to an abrupt end, Kellan helps ease his suffering. A deep bond binds the two men together, and the sexual tension can’t be denied, but Valentino questions if the distance between their very different lives is too much, and if they can bridge the gap by themselves.

Ballet dancer Blue has a vibrant personality which demands attention, but his humour and courageous attitude are a shield. Blue’s good at making others believe in themselves, but what he needs is someone to believe in him. He could be the bridge both men are looking for, but Blue’s never allowed anyone to get too close, and when Kellan and Valentino enter his life, he desperately tries to protect his heart and his secrets.

When all three meet, the chemistry is undeniable, but each have fears about moving forwards. Together, they learn love comes in many forms. It can’t be restrained or labelled, and it doesn’t always appear in the way you first imagined.

**Blue is a standalone book, and although characters from previous books do make an appearance, it won't spoil their stories if you choose to read them afterwards.**

Welcome to the home of bittersweet M/M romances which will leave you craving more.

Nicole grew bored being a supermodel genius who worked part time for NASA, and decided to take a break from helping solve the mysteries of the universe with Stephen Hawkins to write m/m romance.

She has a loving relationship with her hubby of twenty years, and has achieved a lot in her short life considering she's only eighteen. She has fourteen dogs of all different breeds, plus twenty cats, and when she's not tending to their every need, and solving complex math problems, she loves to sew and can be often found knitting in the garden, which she maintains all by herself with her magical green fingers.

Finding time to make all of her own clothing and master the kitchen better than Gordon Ramsey, she's also a vegan domestic goddess and can often be found cooking up a storm bare foot in her kitchen.

Okay, so that's not true, especially the cooking part, though I do tend to be bare foot and I swear like Gordon does while burning my latest creation -- and I still think NASA will be getting in touch. Any day now!! *crosses fingers* I could sooo do that job because I'm so obviously awesome, but until they do...

I'm a full time author of M/M Romance and Erotica, and somehow I have several bestselling books under my belt. I've been writing for four years, and I self publish all my work under Hidden Pleasures Publishing along with my amazing team of helpers in the form my cover designer Kellie Dennis, editor Jessica McKenna, and all of my beta readers and PA's.

I'm a wife to my beloved hubby and mother to two young girls, and I do in fact have two cats who I adore, but no dog, as the hubby put his foot down. I live in Leeds in the North of England and I love it, despite the terrible weather.

My men are all seeking what everyone is, true love mixed with passion and their own happy-ever-after full of laughter and tears.

*** I would give this beautiful story more stars if I could !! ** It's deliciously British !
Kellan, tall, dark and handsome cop,

is holding the dying man's hand in the aftermath of a crash. The meaningful conversation changed Kellan's life. He must bring the dying man's words to his partner, reclusive artist, Valentino.

Wonderfully written tale of fate, destiny, love, patience, understanding, and chance. These lucky men are destined with a full circle of miraculous events. I loved reading the fretful men's thoughts, the pasts that defined them, and the future that destiny beheld. Kellan falls in love with Tino, in his first time male experience. Tino is a haunted, agoraphobic, who can't seem to rise from his depression and pushes Kellan away. During the span of a few years this story shows spurned Kellan finding Blue,

and they slowly realize their need for each other. Blue is a darling, vivacious, snarky and sassy 21 year old virgin, who is insecure from his previous boyfriend's verbal abuse. At times too sassy !
A beautiful ballet dancer, Blue,

is a whirlwind of excitement who challenges Kellan on many levels.
Theirs is a deep love, a lasting one, but Kellan will never forget Tino.

Nicole wrote this delicious story in an amazing style that keeps us engrossed and anticipating the next chapters.

It's beautiful, breathtaking, and brazen!
So, sexy, erotic, raw and sizzling !

When Blue is brought in to model for Tino, unknowing of the Kellan connection, the circle of magical fates comes to fruition.

You will be amazed , and this ménage will take your breath away. We get action, tears, love, sex, and euphoria. Our dead man from the beginning, is a key player in the whole story. It's magnificent, funny, sexy, and endearing. I could go on and on !
So worthwhile ! Recommended highly !! ENJOY !!!
=========================================
Each story in the series is a stand alone, and you will see the previous characters in each.
There is some minor violence when Kel saves Blue from an attack.

Believing Blue is another good entry in the Manchester Ménage series. Blue, Kellan and Valentino are all very different men with very different pasts, whose worlds collide in unexpected ways. This is a long story that covers a lot of ups and downs and tells a lovely tale of grief, love and hope for three men who only thought they were living before entering each other’s lives.

If you’re looking to dive into some hot three way action from the get go, this isn’t the book for you. Nicole Colville spends the first half of the book delving into the lives of the three men and building individual relationships before even putting the three together in the same place. Kellan is the linchpin, separately meeting first Valentino and then Blue and developing two very distinct and different relationships.

Kellan is a pool of Zen-like calm; a police officer and mountain climber. He is stoic on the outside but full of emotion that he has learned to mask on the job. He is a complete contrast to the fiery personality of Blue and Valentino’s emotional ups and downs. Not to say Kellan is unemotional, he gives as good as he gets when it comes to Blue and Valentino has him wrapped around his finger from the start. Kellan has never been attracted to a man before, but his feelings for both men come naturally for him and he reasons that it’s not gender, but personality that attracts and calls to him.

Blue is a force of nature. Outwardly brash and cocky, he has his share of insecurities hidden beneath that façade, as well as an old soul, constantly throwing out his grandmother’s words of wisdom. He’s still dealing with the emotional fallout from a disastrous relationship years ago and few people know the real man from the rumors or the show he puts on. His first meeting and subsequent clashes with Kellan are hysterically epic attitude-filled rants with nicknames flying and, as everyone else can see, are foreplay in the vein of pulling pigtails on the playground. While Blue is happy with Kellan, when Valentino enters his life Blue feels a pull as well as they share an appreciation for the arts, and in Blue’s case an appreciation for Valentino’s art of seduction.

Then there is Valentino who will break your heart as he tries to deal with the overwhelming grief of the sudden loss of his longtime partner Stuart. Valentino hasn’t left their home in years, but now Stuart isn’t around to be that buffer between him and the outside world and Valentino isn’t sure how he will be able to manage. Kellan isn’t going to let Valentino get lost, especially after Stuart’s dying request to look out for him. Valentino appreciates it but still has to process his grief, depression and fear. Underneath all of that is a passionate artist and lover who once again begins to emerge as the months go by. As much as he grows to care for Kellan, he refuses to repeat the mistakes he feels he’s made and pushes him away so that he can work on his issues without dragging Kellan into the prison that is his life.

There is a fourth person involved in this love story and that is Valentino’s former lover Stuart. Although we only meet him very briefly, his presence is always there with Valentino and has a huge effect on all three men. He brought Kellan to Valentino and his reach and influence continues throughout the story and touches all three men in surprising and unexpected ways.

When the three men get together it is clear how well they balance each other out. Kellan is called out by Blue on his enabling of Valentino (with much more over the top dramatics than anyone would deem necessary) and Blue refuses to allow Valentino to wallow. Valentino won’t allow Blue to hide behind his “mask” or the cruel words thrown at him by his ex. Kellan finds these two men he loves offer him a reason to stay in one place and really live his life.

The timeline overlaps that of Discovering Dalton, but this can easily be read on its own although the throuples from both prior books are well represented here. This is a long story and there were a couple of times where I felt the pace was a bit slow. I would have also liked to have spent a little more time with the men once they agreed to all be together to see them working things out, especially with respect to Valentino still not being comfortable leaving the house.

As with the prior books in the series I really liked the way the triad was set up. Based on Kellan’s history with both men and the newness of all their relationships, I didn’t feel that anyone was marginalized or that one part of the relationship trumped another. Although there is hesitancy on Valentino’s part initially, the feelings and sexual tension between all three of them couldn’t be denied. The first three way sex scene they had was one of the hottest I’ve read! Having all three men’s points of view definitely added to the story telling and I especially enjoyed the way Nicole Colville tied the men together even more than I expected; it was a delightful surprise that made everything that led them together even more poignant.

I’ve really been enjoying this series and am glad to see there will be more stories coming in the future.

*** Five - I believe in destiny - stars ! ***
"Love can leave a memory no one can steal, but love can also leave a pain which no one can heal"

Do you believe in destiny? That people who crossed our path were meant to meet us, in some way?
Some way were sweet, some...sad and bitter. We had to lose someone to meet someone else?
That's what happened to Valentino and Kellan. He lost the love of his life, Stuart, too finally met Kellan.
It's a slow burn relationship between the two men, an on-off, love hate love. If it's not for a motormouth Blue who seemed can't stop talking, like 'never' stop talking and moving (Psst... I think he's got an ADHD, so I forgave him), I doubted that Kellan and Valentino will be together.
Blue is like a glue to their relationship.
Not like some readers who annoyed of Blue (I can understand why), he didn't annoy me at all.
I think Blue is funny, and alive...so full of himself, can't stand to be number two, and he thinks he's always... like 'always', always the best .... and Valentino and Kellan loves him so much.
So I don't see any problem here with Blue being annoying little Tinker Bell.

I loved how Blue and Kellan met, I don't think it's a cheating because, Valentino kicked him out. I didn't like it when they have to separate and Valentino regret it at some point.
But I know that Kellan had to meet Blue first, the Blue met Valentino, as his new muse.
And to know that Stuart was the one that made it happen, made me happy and sad at the same time.

The meeting between Stuart and Blue, Stuart and Kellan , and ended with Blue and Kellan met Valentino, it was kinda bittersweet destiny. For me at least.

I'm loving this story. I laugh a lot, mostly because of Blue and his antique behavior. I cried because of Stuart , mostly.
Near the end, I cried like a baby ( I counted it as a twist) when the three men opened Stuart's Christmas gift for Valentino. He's a very thoughtful man and loved Valentino so much, no doubt. He thought of everything for Valentino's happiness. And I loved Stuart for that.

Nicole Colville wrote a beautiful story about love and destiny. I haven't read the previous two books, I'm not sure any of it can beat this one. This one is my favorite already.
Along with her other books Dominque and Knights to Remember.

I'm now heading for Saving Samuel. Meeting Milo, Danny and Sammy :)

Great work Nicole !

Here are some of my favorite quotes from this book -->

"All I can offer is this. I know it's not much, and you don't want it, but you need it"(Kellan)

"I can't be the man you need. I can't give you all of me. I'd rather die than see you hurt, but the longer this goes on, the more you'll fell the pain"

"I love how you say that. Keep saying it. I want my name to be the only thing I hear you say, with every breath, every moan, every whimper, through every shudder and tremor I rip from your body. I want to hear Kellan leave your lips"

Always remember, there's no goodbye, because I'll always be with you, and I'll always love you. Though I may not be right beside you, I'll live on through you.
Don't waste what years you have remaining being sad for me, because I've lived every day since I last stood on this beach as if it were my last, and all I ask is you continue to do that for yourself (Stuart)

Menage relationship was not developed. Book spent too much time on individuals and did not bring them together until the 75% mark. Both Blue and Valentino were both insecure high maintenance egocentric drama queens. Blue was just downright trashy and infantile. Kellan was the moderator or glue in the relationship but he couldn't even make the menage believable.

I was disappointed in Milo from the first book. He was Kellan's boss and jokingly flirted and sexually touched him in public while on the job. I gave Milo a break for cheating on Daniel, but I think I'm going to change my review on that book. This leopard didn't change his spots.

4.5 stars for this beautiful book. This is the story of Kellan, Valentino and Blue. Kellan finds Stuart involved in a car accident and spends his last 3 hours with him listening to him talk of his love of Valentino. He asked Kellan to help Valentino and Kellan being a man of his word honored this. Of course Valentino was not interested in Kellan or his support. Valentino was an artist who suffered agoraphobia and wouldn't leave the house. While both men eventually found love, Tino let Kellan go which hurt them both. Along comes Blue- the confident brash pixie with secret body issues who drove Kellan mad and became Tinos muse without knowing the love between these two. Blue became integral in this trio and pushed when Kellan and Tino wouldn't. Blue realized they all clearly loved and needed each other so he simply pushed his way forward in the only way he knew best !
While this story took a long time to bring it together, the build was important. This was really lovely and I thoroughly enjoyed each character.

Kitty's review posted at Guilty Pleasures Book Reviews

I am going to be totally honest about Believing Blue. I am not going to sugarcoat anything and I am going to tell you exactly what I went through reading Believing Blue. And, believe me, it was a process.

The story started off so very interesting. Kellen and Valentino were the main focus of the story. Every now and then there would be a chapter about Blue. I was confused. I couldn’t understand why the book was called “Believing Blue” when everything was focused around 2 other characters and the fourth character, Stuart. I honestly thought this was going to be a DNF for me and I HATE not finishing a book. When, suddenly, around 50% into the story, everything started coming together and I understood just why Nicole Coleville wrote the story the way she did. All of a sudden, this book went from a 2 Star Review to a 3 Star Review. I was happy that I kept pushing through and kept reading. By 70 % in, she brought the story to a 4 Star Review and in the end, Nicole Colville had a new fan and I just had to go back and read the first two books in the Manchester Menage Series. I had to find out just how everyone got where they were during Believing Blue.

With that said and out of the way, I don’t even know how to put this story into a small synopsis. There were so many facets to all the characters and how they ended up together that it’s impossible to describe. To fully understand each of them, you really do need to read through the whole story. Yes, this is the coming together of Blue, Kellen and Valentino but the fourth character, Stuart also played a huge part in their lives and choice of lifestyle. He is the reason why Kellen went to Valentino … he’s the reason why Valentino pushed Kellen out of his life … he’s the reason why Blue is alive. Fate … it played a huge part in the telling of this story. Love and trust played the other parts.

The accident scene that starts off the story was truly heartbreaking but set the tone of the story. It gave us insight as to the kind of man Kellen is. It also prepared us for Valentino and his many proclivities and how he would react to the death of Stuart. And react he did. He’s an artist with many problems, the biggest is being around people. He hasn’t set foot out of their house in several years. Stuart was an enabler and Kellen was stepping right into the role that he played. It takes the thought of losing the two men that came into his life for Valentino to finally understand what he did to Stuart and what he was doing to Kellen. It takes Blue to make him see the light, start letting go of his past and look forward to a future.

I’m not really sure if I can describe Blue to anyone reading this without sounding homophobic, which I am not! He is exactly what our old ways of thinking a gay man would be. He was outrageous, he dressed the part, acted the part and wore his gayness with pride. If there was ever a character in a book that could come alive and lead the Gay Pride Parade, it would have to be Blue … especially if he wore his Peacock costume. Dear Lord, he was a Twink through and through and didn’t care who knew it. But, he did have deep rooted feelings and a secret that would blow away the whole town of Manchester if it got out. He also had several insecurities that would take a mountain of a man like Valentino, with Kellen’s help, to overcome. But, what I loved most about this man was how he cared, how he was brought up, how he believed in fate and what it had in store for them. It was his caring ways, his pushy attitude and don’t-give-a-damn ways that brought out the best in everyone around him. See, you had to believe Blue or he would get really upset and call you out on it.

Nicole Colville has a knack in setting up stories, making sure you understand the back-grounds of each of the characters and just how well they will fit into each other’s lives. Every character portrayed in Believing Blue was intricately described … we knew where they came from and how they got to the place where they were at now. We understood them, felt for them and hoped that they could push through to make it to a happy ending. She gave us three totally different people with extremely different personalities and showed us how they could fit together as one unit. She also shed light on many different problems that people face … agoraphobia, body image, fear, death and love. She also showed us that, with a little understanding, with pushing through your fears and the love of a good person (or people) you can overcome just about anything.

REVIEWED FOR PRISM BOOK ALLIANCE

4.5 Stars

Phew! This was a long one at over 500 pages but it didn’t feel that long once I got started – honestly I could have continued on with these three guys for a while longer.

Believing Blue. Dear old Blue – what a bloody drama queen this young man was! Honestly, he is not my favourite character and I think without Kellan and Valentino to balance him out a bit I would have probably ended up hating him!

This book starts out determined to make readers cry. My first update was at 6% at which time I was crying ugly tears for a man who was instrumental in setting up the story. His love, his worry and his concern for his partner as he lay dying at the side of the road is what sets the ball rolling for Kellan to not only find a man he will fall in love with but also find out so much about himself. Kellan, I think, is such an unselfish, loving and empathetic man that he is just the right person to break such devastating news to Valentino.

Valentino lives a solitary life hidden away from the world – literally. Over time his life has slowly developed to just exist within the walls of his home that he shared with his partner Stuart and his love of painting. Agoraphobia now controls his life with a strong leash and with Stuart no longer alive to bring the outside world to him along with everything he needs to live Valentino is in a scary place.
As Kellan barges into Valentino’s life, first to deliver the bad news but then later as someone who cares, Valentino suddenly finds himself living a nightmare. They become friends of a sort both enjoying their time together but neither really sure what they are doing. Months pass and a pattern is set but Valentino is plagued by guilt and depression and is honest with Kellan when he tells him his heart will always belong to Stuart.

As well as becoming friends with Valentino Kellan also becomes friends with Blue even though he tries his hardest to run in the other direction. Kellan and Blue clash with often funny consequences and Kellan frequently finds himself at the end of Blue’s barbed tongue. Blue is the type of person who says what he thinks regardless of the circumstances or his audience and some of it is cringe worthy! Whereas Kellan and Valentino were all about the passion Kellan and Blue are not, they don’t fall quickly into bed but rather build up a slow burn and concentrate on friendship first.

As couples or singularly these men are fragmented and don’t work. Together as a threesome, although not something any of them had given any thought to, they work well. Kellan is too soft for Valentino enabling his grief and solitude whereas Blue is like a bull in a china shop and does very little delicately including watching what he says to a grieving man. Blue has his own issues some of which are very personal and have prevented him from having a full relationship with anyone and again it takes two men to calm and reassure him. Kellan has fallen in love twice, he can’t imagine being without either man so the solution for him is perfect.

Prepare for a few more tears towards the end as Nicole adds in one more twist that will leave you with a tear in your eye.

I think this could be my favorite Colville book so far. I was instantly pulled into the story and emotions ran high straight from the opening chapter. This book tugs at every emotion, taking you on a rollercoaster ride that you will never forget. As I started to read, I thought there was no way this could turn into a menage. The powerful relationship between Kellan and the beautiful artist was so intense. I wanted them together, wanted their happily ever after. I worried that adding another would destroy this beauty, but Nicole Colville somehow worked everything just right so that Blue becomes a pivotal part that both men need. He ties them together and helps them both heal as he learns to heal himself as well. The passion and connection in this book is amazing, and I loved every minute of it. Well worth reading this one. You'll never forget it.

There are some authors who are really good at writing MMM, then there is this book. Not amazing. I was ready to love Blue, after having briefly met him in the previous book. Unfortunately, he was introduced into the relationship too late. I never got to accept the relationship between all three of them because it didn't feel real. It wasn't well done. I'm struggling to express how wrong it all just felt. Let me read my friends' reviews, see if any of them felt the same way.

Update: None of them have read this yet. Too bad.

3.5 stars. This book is soooo long. To be honest I was a bit put off by how Valentino and Kellan met and became a thing. I don't enjoy books where a dead character has a huge role in the story but this one grew on me. I did find myself flicking past the pages with no dialogue at some points. Overall it was a good read but not as enjoyable as the first two in this series.

I think I liked this one best out of this series and - for once! - I really got a sense of place as I know the area being written about pretty well in and around Halifax and across the Pennines towards Manchester.
It is a wild and exposed landscape and Kellen's experiences with the Mountain S&R team are well described and the whole accident scene in the snowy weather brought a needed sense of drama and emotional heart to this narrative. (Although, point of fact, officers who deal with the RTAs aren't usually the ones who go visit the victim's families, there are specially trained Victim Support/Family Liaison Officers for those jobs.)

I loved Valentine, poor broken Valentine, who really didn't know what to do with himself when Kellan showed up to challenge his solitude and his pain at his lover Stuart's death in the aforementioned snowy accident.

Blue was also a riot (if somewhat cliched) and this menage actually worked the best for me out of all three but - again - it took way too long to reach that point (almost 70% of the book has them separate) given the series is titled Manchester Menage!

The timeline overlaps book one so we see Daniel and Milo in this one a bit as well.

Three and destiny

Blue * is a young gay man, over the top diva, always on fierce attack to proactively protect his heart and his self-esteem. Dancer and waiter, friends with two threesomes in his neighborhood.
Valentino* is passionate about painting and his muses, isolated by his phobias, but in love in a committed relationship with Stuart for ten years.
Kellan* is straight, a casual ladies' man, police officer, mountain climber, and Buddhist.
So how's that going to work out in 47 chapters and about 5 months time? Fairly believably, although that's a lot of passion balanced by Kellan's Zen and cop mediation skills.
This is all about the three circling, crossing paths, and connecting in a lot of different ways. We get into a lot of detail about them individually and as pairs. It feels like a slow burn because of all these details. The connections between the MCs as couples and friends seem warm and strong. But how will it work when they are altogether? Will they be able to have hot sweaty dirty roilsome mini-orgy sex without the reader being confused as to which he is which? Well, read it!
This isn't light romance, this takes some heart and commitment to work through. There is tragedy and deep grief and heartbreak, and there is chapter after chapter of character development, of their motivations and feelings and thoughts. Don't read if you don't want to trawl around with the characters as individuals. Chapters are offered from varied perspectives, which is an approach I enjoy.
I recommend this book as a chance to hang out for awhile with three hot guys following a labyrinth to each other. This book is all about them, with side interactions with friends and family. No other mystery or adventure going on.
Ratings on things of interest to me in mm romance
Smexy scale: 1-5:4
Well, there is dyadic sex, triadic sex, dream sex, and it's explicit and hot. Given the length of the book, there isn't a lot of it, actually, although it piles pretty deep at the end!
Humor scale 1-5: 2
Blue's way of thinking can be pretty funny, and I loved his family. He can be downright confidently ridiculous. The humorous moments and his sense of the ridiculous made his hissy fits easier to take. But it's a fine line, having him be the light note in a 'serious relationship' book; he might have ended up a caricature instead of a believable partner to the other two men. So in some ways it's good the humorous bits fade away to none in the later half of the book. But funny bits are often my favorite bits...so I missed them.
Likable MCs scale 1-5: 3
I like these guys as individuals, but a lot of the interesting things about them fade away when they are together and locked on to each other. Might be another reason that I liked the first half better. Near the end they have a lot of 'banter' that comes across to me as disrespectful and maneuvering for points off each other (not the author's intention, and the characters were amused by it). We also had a lot less of what they were thinking/feeling by then... which was how we believed in their connections to begin with.
Angst scale 1-5: 4
This book is waist deep in dark and sticky angst that gets worked through and washed away over the book. Kellan and Valentino are traumatized early on, and we suffer this with them. Blue has relationship history that has made him afraid of any close connection (we feel his resulting pain and anxieties, but we don't go through his previous relationship up-close).

Potential triggers: grief, car accident, depression, history of domestic abuse, agoraphobia and social phobia (addressed too simply/resolved easily in story); man in bunny suit running down the street cackling

Other recommendations:
I don't read a lot of mmm menage books...if you like romances that have distinct and interesting characters and raunchy mini-orgies including mm, mf and many other groupings, I can recommend Kit Rocha's Beyond series (dystopia, grunge, alternative future). If you like mm contemporary romance books focused on character development and slower relationship development:..I suggest Heidi Cullinen's Double Blind and Special Delivery (which have mmm moments) and her Minnesota Christmas series (which have mmm moments), and the last Minnesota Christmas book involves a different type of mmm threesome.

Officer Kellan Howard spends all his time not on the job climbing mountains and hiking, he is very much an adventurer at heart. It's this experience that has Kellan out assisting stranded motorists during a bad snow storm. When he stumbles upon a bad wreck, the last thing he expects is for the man in the car to ask Kellan to take care of the partner he will be leaving behind.

Valentino hasn't left the home he and his partner Stuart share in years, a strangling case of agoraphobia keeps a tight reign on the Italian painter. When Kellan knocks on his door with the news of Stuart's death, even then, Tino can't bring himself to step foot across the threshold of his prison disguised as a home.

Blue Parr-OT is lightening in a bottle! Young, vivacious, and frightening, the adorable little blonde pixie that reminds Kellan of Tinker Bell on crack, has no filter and no problem putting all six foot four inches of Kellan Howard in his place. The ballet dancer has more energy than ten grown men and does a fantastic job of hiding his vulnerability beneath a smart mouth and quick wit.

As Kellan fulfills Stuart's dying request, looking after Tino, the two develop a bond that blurs the lines between friendship and romance. When push comes to shove, Tino pushes Kellan away, certain he will never be able to love Kellan the way he deserves because his heart still belongs to Stuart. Enter Blue. From the first glance and accidental shove, the two go out of their way to make the other miserable. Foreplay. The banter back and forth is hysterical and in an odd way, it causes them both to let down their guard and genuinely begin to care for each other. Blue is young and he's been hurt by a man he trusted and loved, so he is understandably hesitant to move too fast. Kellan refuses to let him go though, he lost his chance at happiness with Tino, allowing the man to shut Kellan out of his life, he will not let Blue do the same. In a strange twist of fate, the three men end up tied together and trying to figure out how they can move forward without one of them winding up alone and broken hearted.

This book was a roller coaster ride of emotions let me just tell you. Laughter, tears, angst and love all woven together to create the perfect triad for these three men. Each one has their own distinct, individual personality that, when joined, strengthens their relationship as a throuple. There are some kinks to work through first though and lord if Blue doesn't make it come across as hysterical insanity. Seriously, the banter back and forth between Blue and Kellan will leave you in stitches, and it never stops. Tino is a lover not a fighter, however, Blue could test the patience of a saint. What I found very intriguing was that every time Blue went off on a tangent about something vital or important, he was usually right and though his men cussed, yelled and gave just as good as they got... they knew their young, inexperienced partner only had their best interest at heart.

There was an amazing twist toward the end of the book that blew me away, the circle of life, that's all I'm gonna say. If you are a fan of menage stories, characters with attitude and flair and/or hard fought for happy ever afters, you simply must read this book. Start at the beginning though if you haven't read any of the previous books. Each story is about a different throuple, yes, but it's a continuation so to speak.

Title: Believing Blue
Author: Nicole Colville
Series: Manchester Menage
Genre: M/M/M Contemporary Romance

Main Characters :

Kellan Howard is a police officer and avid mountain climber. He lets his job and his pastime take over his life. He has friends that he climbs with, a loose relationship with his family and an even looser relationship with his girlfriend Kirsty. His only real passion is mountain climbing. He doesn’t really even believe you can have that kind of passion for another person until he comes across a car accident, and finds that the dying victim has a soulmate, a connection so deep that Kellan can feel it right there on the icy road Stuart died on.

Valentino is an agoraphobic artist, whose world revolves around his work and his partner Stuart. Stuart is his connection to the outside world, and without him, life is in a tailspin, even with the Officer Kellan trying to keep that world together after delivering the news of Stuart’s death.

Blue is a flamboyant ballet dancer, known for his dramatic ways and over the top personality. His body issues and reservations on intimacy have left him unable to get close to anyone, using his brightly colored clothes and high heels to keep people from looking closer.

Plot/Conflict:

Kellan and Tino’s relationship develops first, when Kellan is the officer to tell Tino of his partner’s death, and then subsequently takes on being his liaison officer as Tino goes through his grief. After months of barely seeming to tolerate Kellan, Tino starts to wake up from his grief and realize that Kellan could be the next stage in his life, but secrets and his agoraphobia send the two their separate ways…. For a while.

Kellan has been newly awoken to his male on male fantasies, and after being heartbroken over Tino, he finds sollace in his bantering, bickering bombshell relationship with Blue. After heavy arguing, they decide to at least try dating. But when Blue takes a job modeling for an artist, the relationship comes full circle. Tino is attracted to Blue, but worse, he knows Kellan would never give up Blue to come back to him.

Loves:

I loved Stuart, Tino’s deceased partner. I loved the connection that he had to Tino, and the description of their relationship. It really made the whole book. I would have loved to have read their story.

Likes:

I liked Kellan’s relationship with Tino, that he immediately felt the connection, respected Tino’s grief, and then easily accepted that he was attracted to a man.

Peeves:

I did not like Blue. I felt his character was immature and OTT drama. He overreacted to EVERYTHING, he was incredibly self-centered most of the time, and his body issues kind of paled in comparison to the bigger relationship issues going on.

Favorite Quote:
“Your heart doesn’t have a limit for love. It doesn’t have a certain allocated slot which a person falls into and then it shuts off.”

First, I want to say what a gorgeous cover this book has, and yes, it is significant to the book in an important way, just like Dalton’s was. It has taken me a few days to write this review. I made the mistake of thinking I’d wait until the next day to write this review and saw another new release I wanted to read before I wrote it, I thought it would be a more humorous book and give me emotional space from this one before I wrote this review. It ended up being heavier than the others in the series and the combining of Believing Blue and that book put me into a book hangover and I couldn’t write. Oops!
Now I am ready. This book was fantastic. Each of the MCs had something significant to give to the others, not just physically (Kellan, I’m looking at you big boy) but emotionally. Kellan gave unwavering support to both Valentino and Blue, once they got through bumping heads and stupid misunderstandings, and protectiveness. Valentino gave both Kellan and Blue a focus and someone to care for, support and admire. Blue gave a lightness of spirit, beauty and strength, he didn’t take any crap from either of them. He also had the strength of spirit to not only realize they’d be better as three but to take the action required to get them there. Go Blue!
Each also had their issues, Kellan, for all his strength had a hard time pushing for what he wanted and often unintentionally came across as jerk. Also, he’d never been with a man before Valentino so he had that to deal with and accept. Valentino had lost the man who he thought was the great love of his life and wasn’t sure he could or should let anyone else in on top of a debilitating case of agoraphobia and anxiety. Blue, well, I’m not sure I should detail all of what his issues are because they’re pretty integral to the story but he’s mouthy and can spin out of control with the drama.
The journey these three go on to be together, to love each other and support each other is significant for each of them in different ways. You get to see as all three of them grow to become stronger people with each other’s support and care. They overcome their obstacles and you read the last word of the epilogue with a sense of hope for their future. Hope that they will only grow stronger together and love each other harder and better. This was a beautiful story of healing and hope.
I can’t wait for the next book in this series, we will be revisiting Liam, Troy, and Dalton. Liam was clearly having some issues in this book (I kind of wanted to kick his hot butt) with trust. Milo cracked me up with his incessant flirting with Kellan, who gave it back as good as he got it. Luckily, Danny and Samuel were secure enough to just roll their eyes about it. It was good to see them all doing well (besides Liam who did seem better by the end of the book) and happy.

I have found my next go to book. I cried. I laughed. I laughed until I cried. The story is based in England but it isn’t hard to follow along with the wording. There are many elements to this story that must be touched upon. I hope I remember them all. I received a free copy of this book from Inked Rainbow Reviews in exchange for an honest review.
As a police officer, Kellan is called upon to help when needed. He also volunteers for many extra shifts because he has no one at home waiting for him when he gets done with work. The weather has taken a drastic turn, bringing snow too quickly, causing the roads to become dangerous to be out on. He’s on his way back to town when he happens upon two officers from neighboring Manchester. They are stuck on the slick road so Kellan must help them push their car. As the three men are nearing a dangerous turn they spot a car that has crashed into the rocks. They work desperately for hours to free the driver. As the rescue team works to free Stuart, the driver, he talks to Kellan about his boyfriend Valentino. Sharing stories and secrets. Unfortunately, Stuart doesn’t survive his injuries and dies shortly after being rescued.
Valentino has lived the several years of his life through the eyes of Stuart. Never leaving the home that he and Stuart had come to share. When Kellan arrived on his doorstep, Valentino was terrified. He has been a loner for so long, he doesn’t know how to interact with anyone other than Stuart and the owner of the art gallery. His family disowned him when he was 15. He has pushed everyone else away. But, every chance Kellan gets he is banging on Valentino’s door, asking for acceptance into his life.
Blue. What can I say about Blue? He has such a strong spirit. A spirit that anyone could be jealous of. He has a supportive and loving family as well as friends. You can’t help but be his friend. You’re drawn to him when you walk into a room. Except for Kellan. Kellan can’t seem to get on Blue’s good side no matter what he does. Every time they meet its oil and water. Until Kellan has to rescue a very drunk Blue from a man who wants to rape him. The two men are able to set aside their differences and soon their relationship starts.
The three men are brought together when Blue is requested by Valentino to be his model. It is Blue who eventually brings Valentino and Kellan back together. And it is Blue who keeps the throuple together when all the dust has settled.

*** Copy provided to Bayou Book Junkie in exchange for a fair and honest review. ***

Kellan is a police officer, who's never really managed to connect with any of the women who'd vied for his attention. As one of the first responders in a tragic car accident, he bonds with a dying man and his life changes forever, giving him the chance to fall in love, which was something he thought he'd never have.

Valentino suffers from agoraphobia, experiencing the world outside his house only through his partner Stuart. When Stuart dies, Kellan helps ease his pain at losing him, first as friends and then as lovers, until Valentino pushes him away.

Blue is vibrant, funny and needs to be the center of attention. He just wants someone that will love him and believe in him. When he meets Kellan they clash at first, but slowly, their relationship turns into something more.

Just when that happens, Valentino realizes he made a huge mistake letting Kellan go. Would they find some common ground in which they could all move forward, without hurting the others?

Out of these three men, Kellan was my favorite. He was caring, loving and supportive to both Valentino and Blue, both on their own and together. He wasn't that same way with many others, but for me, that made him shine. Blue was lovely as well, and I really liked his personality. His exchanges with Kellan when they just met were hilarious and I could practically see the sparks that their chemistry ignited. Valentino was different, more tragic, and while I admit that he was a good addition to Kellan and Blue in the end, it took me a bit to warm up to him.

The first thing that attracted to this book was the gorgeous cover, then the blurb, and while menage is not precisely my cup of tea, I was really curious about how their relationship would play out and I wasn't disappointed in the slightest. It was different for me and there were moments when I wanted things to go a different way, but in the end it all worked in a very logic and loving manner. It was quite nice that it all came full circle and that Stuart ended up playing such a huge role in the story, that was a fantastic touch!

All in all, this was an amazing book. Yes, it's long, but once I started reading, I barely felt the time I spent with it, it was that engaging and interesting. Definitely recommendable!

Enjoyed it quite a lot!

This was a pretty long book, but I got very wrapped up in it. It was never boring and never felt dragged out. It started with Kellan, the more assured and mature character. He was caring and gentle, but certainly not a pushover. He didn't push enough sometimes. Valentino was rather tragic at first, and his depressed state and other issues might have overwhelmed his character, except his character and Kellan's meshed quite well.

Kellan accepted his realization that he was bisexual quite easily, maybe a little too easily. He was depicted as a very accepting and understanding person right from the start, though, so it didn't feel terribly abrupt. Also, he and Valentino spent a few months getting to know each other so it appeared pretty natural.

Blue was supposed to be more of a focus for them both than I felt he really was. I never could enjoy his character as much. It did improve over the course of the book, but there was so much angry dialogue. He was shown as rather judgmental and too quick to jump to conclusions. He was also written as being rather too self-centered and know-it-all. I know some of it was supposed to stem from his insecurities but it grated on me.

I did like it when they finally got to meet each other together. I liked the little suspense period, before they realized that they knew each other. But, I certainly wish that there was more page time in the book about their time together as a threesome. It was too brief considering the length of the story. It was much the same as in Discovering Dalton. I felt a little gypped. I more than just liked it though and I'll look forward to more men in Manchester.

Nicole Colville has done a beautiful job with her new novel 'Believing Blue'. The story line was strong tying in with the previous ones in the series. The characters were well developed and very believable. You go on an emotional rollercoaster ride with Kellan, Valentino, and Blue. Kellan meets Valentino's partner, Stuart, when Stuart is killed in a MVA. The impact this has made on Kellan has dramatically changed his life. As part of Kellan's duty he takes the bad news to Valentino, an artist who is afraid to leave his home being very recluse. But Kellan feels he needs to help Valentino through his grief...Their attraction during this time grows and the sex is amazingly HOT. Valentino though pushes Kellan away because he feels he can't bring his life of seclusion into Kellan's. They truly love each other, but it is not enough at the time. Valentino wants Kellan to find someone else. Kellan finds an extraordinary man, Blue. Starting out the two have a hard time getting along making Kellan even more attracted to Blue. Even though Blue won't admit it, he feels the same. Circumstances bring the three of them together and it all ties to Stuart, Valentino's late partner. This is a powerful story of love, loss, grief, friendship, and the power of a menage relationship. I fell in love with these characters. They will grip your heart and lead you to an amazing loving relationship...Every character brought something different to the story and the relationship they all wanted so much was so worth fighting for. This is a must read..

I loved this book. It was a perfect compliment to the Manchester Menage Collection.

Romance, sorrow, humor, love, the past, the future, opening up, letting go. This book had life lessons that touched on everything.

The way Kellan and Stuart met was heartbreaking, but as your immersed yourself in the story, and took each chapter's 'quote' to heart, you understood that Stuart was with them every step of the way. Kellan was as nurturing as Milo proved to be.

Blue grew so much, as a man and a member of their family, allowing his inner strength to show, once he was secure in the love of his men. He was so funny, with such an effervescent personality, that he just rolled over everyone (but in a good way). Definitely not an enabler! Just as Sammy was for his men.

Valentino, who loved the deepest and lost the most, became the linchpin that held them together. Once he was able to move on, he was able to move forward, physically and emotionally.

The ending, starting with the dusty room, was so painful to read, but certainly explained so much. A beautiful 'twist of fate' and one you want to hold to your heart, knowing such things are possible.

I wish this series would continue forever, with more throuples to come! Eeeeeep!

Nicole is fabulous and all her books are inspiring; causing you to look at your own relationship(s) with fresh eyes.

Thank you for a beautiful story.

It has been forever since I read the first two books, which I loved, so I don't actually remember a lot about this series. I went in excited about a series I rated highly before and poly. I ended up underwhelmed. I did like the slow build up of the characters but the guys didn't get together until most of the book was over. Almost half the book seemed to be Kellan and Valentino together and Blue off by himself. Then Kellan meets Blue and I felt like Kellan had a personality transplant. He became flirty and snarky. His opening with Blue just hit me all wrong like it was a different character from what I had read before. I also didn't like some of the plot towards the end

Believing Blue is the 3rd in the Manchester Ménage Collection by Nicole Colville.
I have recently found Nicole through recommendation from friends.
I have read most of her books now and I seem not to be able to get enough.
Nicole's writing is in a style of her own one that agrees with me whole heartily it flows and you fall into the pages not breathing ...
I was so excited reading Believing Blue as Blue himself has words bubbling out of his mouth they are extremely funny and you laugh out loud even wiping tears away..... He is gorgeous.
Valentino is curly haired stunning Italian who is a painter and who finds it hard to forget and hard to accept .
Kellan has a huge heart and he cares and he loves deep the love between the three is beautiful to watch even though I read the words I felt as if everything was coming to life in front of me.
The beginning love between Blue and Kellan was so special i shall never forget it.
An outstanding book .........

Eeeeeep!

So good, this book starts off with a horribly heartbreaking scene, pack some tissues! However, for all the sad and seriously deep scenes you have the amazing Blue who is OMFG hilarious! I had to stop reading this multiple times because I was in public and couldn't hold back the insane Blue induced laughter, I was starting to look as insane as Blue! The ménage was kinda slow going, for over half the book it was just Kellan getting the action consistently, but it totally worked and the way Nicole brought it all full circle at the end was freaking beautiful! So many tears over this book but it was totally amazingly worth it! Don't forget to mind your P's and Q's because manners never go out of style and Blue will be watching, don't wanna be caught being...eeeeeeeep...R.U.D.E! :p

This is hands down the best book in this series, and think I fell as much in love with these guys as they did with each other. Loved the humor, sweetness and sexiness, and the little twists (of fate and otherwise) and turns the story took kept me on my toes. There were some beautifully angsty and bittersweet moments that were so real and raw that my heart ached and some amazingly tender moments that more than made up for that. Loved Blue, Kellan and Valentino together - and yes, there is a special place in my heart for Stuart.

Unfortunately, editing issues and typos did drop this down a notch for me - some 'tightening up' would have made a huge difference. That being said, I really did love this story, and the epilogue made me want more. Those 525 pages went by SO quickly - and now I can't wait for the next book in this series!

Another great book by Ms Colville

Blue and his family had me laughing hard and clutching my stomach!!! There was never a dull moment. I hurt for Valentino and Kellan! Stuart's character was done very well also. I loved how he loved Valentino. It touched my heart how he wanted to find someone for Valentino to love after he was gone. I hope Ms. Colville does a short story to give us a peek in how they are working out and does Valentino gets to see his family. It was also wonderful to see the other throuples from the other books. I was so entertained by this book. I laughed hard and cried!!!

This book was soooooooooo soooo great. Another best from the Manchester ménage collection. I loved every waking moment of this book and how each chapter had a life altering quote to go by. This book definitely felt like it was 4 people and not 3 but definitely in a good way. This book broke my heart then brought it back together again all in one go. Stuart's character seemed so loving, caring and lifeless, it was really crazy to see how in some way to see how blue was already connected to Stuart. The end when he opened the presents finally was the best.

Love this addition to the series! This book could be read as a stand alone, but is so wonderful when you have already met some of the characters and get to have a peek into their lives. Kellan, Blue and Valentino develop so beautifully. You feel their struggle, you share their joy and you laugh at some of their interactions. I loved the inner-connectivity of the story! The author builds such amazing characters that you reach out and touch them. The sex is creative and steamy and just right! Treat yourself to reading this journey with these men!

I really liked Blue in the past so expected to love this book. I didn't. Blue was the only character I still liked by the end of the book. I didn't much care for everyone else. I didn't even bother with reading the epilogue. I knew where it was going and didn't want to spend any more time with this book.
