The book is about the adventures of two best friends: Skylar and Cody. Things started to change when one of them, Cody, left the town. Because Skylar was left all by herself, she had to endure all the loneliness and despair. She relied on self-harm to cope with the abuse and the bullying. When Cody returned years later with a pretty girlfriend and a charming step brother, things became even worse.
Their friendship was not the same anymore. They were two different people who isolated themselves in their presences. Their situation became harder as days went by.. can they really keep it up?
A lot has been abandoned, she felt. There's nothing that can be done in order to restore things. However, as the story unfolds, Skylar realizes one particular and important matter in her life: love.
