Natarajan (real name Harish Chandra Ganguly), is a Bengali fiction writer, born 25 November 1929, Barisal (now in Bangladesh). He is best known for his work in crime fiction. He worked as the Chief Handwriting Expert for the Govt. of West Bengal, India, from 1974 to 1987. He was awarded the Banga Shishu Sahitya Parishad Award in 1985. Some of his well-known novels are: Lal Bazar, Pulish Saheb, Ora Sei Pulish, Bansaria, Mondakini, Dowry, Padma Nadir Pani, Rajnagini, Pramila Mahal, Bargi Elo Deshe. Also published a number of short stories.
