Just when I thought I couldn't love the uncertain saints anymore, along comes Casten! These books are by far one of my favourite series ever. I love the characters and the story lines. Big broody men and equally strong women. Five star read!

4 'Unavoidable Love' Stars
Casten's life revolves around his MC and his businesses. A woman is not part of the equation, not does he desire it to be, so when he mets Tasha, and is instantly attracted to the brunette he tries his best to avoid his feelings and specially not showing them to her.
And each time I saw her, it became harder and harder to resist her.
But I would.
Because I couldn’t have a woman.
Women and I didn’t mix.
Tasha may seem like a carefree ball of energy, with her large number of degrees, but deep down she his hidden a deep pain from her past, that left scars as ingarined as Casten’s injury in combat did on him.
But you know what they say about two broken souls together… It is indeed true, and once Casten accepted what was in plain site for anyone to see – that Tasha was his one -, and fought for her and to protect her against a dangerous stalker, it was incredible to see their relationship develop. But specially the way they delivered themselves to each other.
“All I wanted was to be free, to live my life without commitment. But now all I can think about is you. How you’re feeling. What you’re fucking doing. You’ve worked your way into every single one of the cracks in my armor, and I don’t think I’ll ever get you the fuck out or that I even want to,” (Casten to Tasha)
I have to say that Tasha, the heroine, was definitely my favorite character of the story, her strength and sassiness, and her hidden fragility made her steal the show for me, which I loved! Casten was also a fantastic character, and the badass bearded MC hottie role, fitted him to T, but some attitudes he took, and the pushing away, got a bit on my nerves, and made me a bit less sympathetic to him. Don’t get me wrong, he was still a delicious hero, I just wished he had done things a bit differently. But, like I said, he also had a lot of caring (as you can see in the quotes) and wickedly sexy moments – sizzling HOT sex scenes – with and towards Tasha, so still the HOT king of the story! LOL ;)
And those secondary characters, wow!!! Lani, really, it’s evil to tease us like this!!! We get an insight into the life of the MCs of the previous books, but also some enticing snippets into the upcoming characters, one more delicious than the other, that leave us counting the days until the release of their story!
It was an amazing story, as per Lani Lynn Vale’s usual, with all the exciting, funny, romantic, and sexy elements we want in our Romance, and that Lani’s special ‘touch’ that makes us completely devour it in one sitting.
And now, bring on THE BAD APPLE!!!

This was a hard book to rate. One chapter I loved the couple, the next I wanted to push them into a mud puddle.
Casten has been keeping Tasha at arms length since he met her. Even though he knows she likes him, he will not let on that he cares for her as well. He doesn't feel he has the time for a relationship like she deserves.
In my opinion, Casten acted like a jerk for nearly the first half of the book. However, in true LLV fashion, he was faithful and once he met Tasha, he wasn't with any other women.
Tasha is the sister of Mig's wife, Annie (she was the h in the last book). She has spent time with the Uncertaint Saints and has fallen for Casten. She is feeling defeated because he does nothing but push her away. It isn't until a stalker threatens Tasha that Casten finally gives in to his feeling and goes after his girl.
There were a couple parts that went against what I like in a story. I don't care for the amount of pushing away that Casten did. Because of inner dialogue, we knew he wanted her as much as she wanted him. It took a stalker targeting Tasha for Casten to get his head out of his ass. Also, there was two parts that women were opening flirting (the first instance a woman was hanging on his arm at a party and it was said he had a hard on). He and Tasha were not a couple at the time but the feelings were there even though they hadn't been professed to the other. That being said, Casten didn't reciprocate the flirting. This series is a little grittier than her other series. She always writes faithful, alpha heroes and that is why I will keep being one of her biggest fans.

Casten Red doesn't do relationships, he has enough responsibilities as it is and having a woman that would demand his time is just not something he is interested in. He will begrudgingly admit that he is mildly attracted to Tasha, but she has been acquaintance zoned as far has he is concerned.
Tasha has a crush on Casten, but she is well aware it will never go anywhere. When it becomes apparant she has a stalker though she is shockingly surprised to find Casten giving her a room in his house and protecting her. Casten is done denying what Tasha means to him, it is like a switch went off and he is ready to claim his woman. Now he has to stop a stalker and in it possibly hurt the woman he loves like no other.
High octane fun. I loved Casten, he is growly and quite demanding but wih Tasha he is fascinating. Tasha is fantastic, she is quirky and not your standard heroine. I liked this couple together, they are electric and you are fully invested in them from begining to end.

This story was going great. But then... This is a third time in a row in this series, when H breaks up/push away his girl thinking it will be for better. What the heck is with this pushing away thing? I don't get it. Why make the same pattern again and again in the same series? I have my doubts reading next book, even if I'm tempted. I enjoy Lani books. I'm not sure what's up with this series.
And the sh¡t Casten say to break up with Tasha... Its not okay. And the reason he gave for it was stupid. There was other ways to achieve what he wanted, without hurting her. I don't know why Tasha would take him back after this. Especially so easily. Actually, it seems another pattern with h in this series. It's like they can hurt theirs women whenever they please, because they knows those idiots will take them back anyway.

Reread. Another amazing book. I loved Casten and his broody moods. I especially loved the epilogue where she wore her wedding dress every year. That was fabulous.

I really don't understand how these books get such high ratings.
You’ve got Casten (MC member, bounty hunter, douche) and Tasha (sister to Annie, volleyball coach, teacher). She has a stalker, not a surprise. This town has an unusually high amount of stalkers. Strangest thing. Anyway, we volley between him wanting to be with her to not wanting to be with her. I think he’s a super douche. And even though she always starts to defend herself, she just gives up and let's him get away with his crappy behavior. He treats her like crap most of the time and I don’t for one second believe that he loves her. It also has one of my least favorite things, “leaving her for her own good.” That happens a lot in LLV books. The ending was also stupid. We randomly get her dad’s POV. I hated that!!! Nobody asked for his POV. It’s stupid. The Epilogue sucked. I just didn’t get it at all. I hated everything about this book.

So he invites her to go to his mom’s wedding. Surprise, he has a twin brother, who he never mentioned to Tasha. So of course when his twin is having sex in the bathroom, she assumes it’s Casten. The typical drama unfolds from there. Why the f*ck wouldn’t he mention this before?? She knows about his two sisters and talks to them. Nobody thought to mention a twin??? Then she walks away wanting to leave the wedding, I don’t blame her. He doesn’t even follow her until maybe 30 minutes later and says, “are you finished pouting.” Seriously dude!!! That would have been the final straw for me. Then, she’s already injured from her surgery and when she asks him to come pick her up instead of making her walk, he says no. So she struggles all the way back. What a dick!!!
Then, when she wants to leave, she gets into what she thinks is a taxi because....... it’s a yellow car. Sure, ok. Then, she clearly sees the driver multiple times, but she doesn’t recognize him?? You’ll see why that’s hard to believe later on. Then as she’s riding in the car, she realizes that this guy could be her stalker. When she escapes she says, “if he’s not a taxi driver, who is he?” You literally just thought he was your stalker and you act dumb when you get away from him. Plus, does Casten care that she's nearly kidnaped? No - he's just mad at her for being careless.
Then when someone breaks into his house and she’s hiding in his closet, he shows up. Finding his dog is shot, he leaves to take the dog to the vet. Even though he doesn’t ask if she’s ok – I still get being distracted by the dog. But then afterwards he never asks her about what happened. Doesn’t ask her if she’s ok. Doesn’t do a damn thing. He goes back to ignoring her. HE'S SUCH A JERK.
He gets injured and while he’s in the hospital he tells her that she’s too much for him and he doesn’t have time for the drama she brings to his life and that he doesn’t want to see her anymore. Apparently he’s doing it for her safety – but come on. I wouldn’t forgive him so easily. When she finally does see him again, he’s at a volleyball game talking to another woman. F*ck him. Seriously f*ck you, you stupid motherf*cker.
LLV writes the worst male characters. Only 3 of them haven't sucked balls. They're assholes and don't act like they even like the women they're with.

4 Vodka on the Rocks Stars
I am soo happy I got the chance to listen to this series in audio, if you’re thinking of it and still on the fence JUMP! I promise you, that you won’t regret it.
Tasha is Annie’s sister from book 2 and I was very intrigued. You saw when she got an eyeful of Casten in that book but he wouldn’t budge.
So when I started listening to this book I fist pumped the air another good man bites the dust.. IN A GOOD WAY! Ha ha!
You get the feeling Tasha is harboring some pretty deep emotions but on the outside she is all smiles. Her past plays a big part of that but I also think (my opinion) is she is just afraid to move on.
Casten too has some parts of his past that make it hard for him to want to move on. But when a good man finds his lady nothing and I mean nothing is going to get in the way of that.
I love that Casten is so family oriented what he does for his sister. Love, Love, Love.
How a man treats his dog, well ladies that just says it all right there. Swoony and Melty I am.
Again me gushing about the narrators they are awesome this series was phenomenal because of the writing but the narrators brought the words to life. <3 Swoon I am a fan.

Vodka on the Rocks was the third book in the Uncertain Saints MC series by Lani Lynn Vale.
Tasha was the sister to Annie from book two, Jack and Coke. She was attracted to Casten from day one but Casten always treated her as if he didn’t like her so she stayed away.
Casten was a patched MC member. He noticed Tasha every time she visited Annie, but he wasn’t into relationships and knew she could be trouble. Casten was former military and had to retire when he was injured in the war. He loved his family, his dog, his MC and he didn’t need anyone else.
Vale kept putting Casten and Tasha in the same place, thus eventually forcing them to address their attraction. I would have preferred a little more from Casten. He definitely wasn’t a “feels” kinda guy, even with Tasha. It was hard to feel the attraction between the two.
Vale added to the storyline through a suspenseful plot involving Tasha. Although somewhat predictable with a little twist, it kept the storyline interesting. I did, however, wish the conclusion to the suspense had been fleshed out more. There was more to the story that I wanted to know.
Although it wasn’t my favorite story in the series, it was still entertaining. The prospect, Core, is up next in Bad Apple.

Casten was a patched MC member. He noticed Tasha every time she visited Annie, but he wasn’t into relationships and knew she could be trouble. Casten was former military and had to retire when he was injured in the war. He loved his family, his dog, his MC and he didn’t need anyone else.
Vale kept putting Casten and Tasha in the same place, thus eventually forcing them to address their attraction. I would have preferred a little more from Casten. He definitely wasn’t a “feels” kinda guy, even with Tasha. It was hard to feel the attraction between the two.
Vale added to the storyline through a suspenseful plot involving Tasha. Although somewhat predictable with a little twist, it kept the storyline interesting. I did, however, wish the conclusion to the suspense had been fleshed out more. There was more to the story that I wanted to know.
Although it wasn’t my favorite story in the series, it was still entertaining. The prospect, Core, is up next in Bad Apple.

Vodka On The Rocks (Uncertain Saint’s MC #3)

OMG! This is what I have been waiting for .. along with all the other books in her series but hey … A girl needs what she needs. Casten Red and Tasha Gonzales; Annie’s sister whom we met in Jack and Coke along with Mig – her man. However that’s only book 2 in this series. You need to also pick up Whiskey Neat which is Griffin Storm’s book.
We knew that something was brewing between Casten and Tasha in Jack and Coke but we weren’t sure just what. Both of these characters are like two Category 5 hurricanes running into each other on the coast leaving a trail of complete destruction in their aftermath.
Starting with the Prologue and Tasha’s secret thoughts I was of course done for. Lani has used my all time favorite quote that beings with Sometimes you cant help but be a f**cker ….. YES! When you read any of Lani’s books don’t skip other the characters secret thoughts. Sometimes they are coffee mug quotes are tshirt quotes but they are 100 percent a huge part of the book and the storyline.
Down to handing Casten a cup of coffee from the coffee shop with his name listed as “Whore-Hey” to Tasha being compared to Chuck Norris this book has everything you need in a laugh out loud courtship. I cant say too much more because there are a million fantastic moments that I had to read over and over they were just too enormous to read once. Don’t get me wrong there is suspense. Someone is stalking Tasha … and I mean spooky stalking. The man knows Tasha’s every move and although Casten sees red every time this woman comes into the air he breathes he cannot leave her unprotected.
Casten is a magnificent man in all aspects. We get to meet his family and quickly understand why his two sisters live with him. CeeCee and Rhea --- we meet Shawshank and Donkey Kong or Kong for short and Koda. LOVE THEM ALL! There is another man involved in Casten’s family but I will leave that for you to find out who is he and what his deal is. Casten’s mom well that is another story.
I loved that we get mention of Free, The Kilgore FD, and Free. YESSSSS! Tai is in a snippet. All of the rest of the boys are along for the ride on this one as well. Ridley, Peek, Wolf, Core … its just a smorgasbord of wonderful glorious men.
Lani’s stories are a breath of fresh air. Pick a series – start with it and then pick another and start again. Get caught up on any of them because you wont be sorry. Every book it worth every penny, your time and your energy – I have loved every single character I have met through her eyes and from her head.
Thank you Lani for another 5 star read – Keep them coming – We all are ready for Bad Apple: Mr. Apple Core Drew himself. In the mean time Im going to click on over to Flash Point. Kilgore Fire is waiting with Mr. Booth Jones.

Vodka on the Rocks is the third book in Lani Lynn Vale’s Uncertain Saints MC series. I really love what she’s doing in this series–it’s everything I love about her writing in an edgier and grittier package. She’s taken some risks in this series, and I’ve loved it. It’s exciting to watch her experiment and grow as an author.
The main characters in this book, Casten and Tasha, are perhaps the quirkiest that she has ever written, and that’s really saying something! Casten is a member of the Uncertain Saints, a gym owner, a private detective and a former police officer who was forced into an early retirement due to an injury. He believes his life is too dangerous for him to have a woman in it, and while he is fiercely attracted to Tasha, he’s trying to keep her in the friend zone. Casten is a very stoic guy, and Tasha works overtime to get a reaction out of him.
Tasha is the sister of Annie, the heroine from Jack & Coke. She is a tell-it-like-it-is, sarcastic woman with a bit of baggage. She really is very attracted to Casten, but she’s confused by the mixed messages he’s sending her. She lost her first love, and she’s never really recovered from that experience. She carries a lot of guilt, and while she really likes Casten and wants to pursue a relationship with him, she’s not sure she deserves it. But drama seems to find Tasha, and what she learns changes everything. When the dust settles, where will that leave her and Casten?
Lani has given her fans an interesting story in Vodka on the Rocks. The hero and heroine are both flawed and stubborn and so wildly different that it was almost impossible to see them together. But that’s something that Vale does well—she gives us these characters who appear not to fit, and then she shows us how spectacularly they actually do. No Lani Lynn Vale novel would be complete without a liberal does of humor, and given Tasha’s quirkiness, there was an abundance of it here.
When I think about the authors who I’m most impressed by, Lani is right there at the top of my list. She is an author who puts out eleven books (at least!) a year, the overwhelming majority of which land on the USA Today best sellers list. She consistently gives her fans funny, sexy stories about alpha heroes and the sassy, sarcastic women who love them. I can count on her every month to make me smile and make me swoon, and she did just that once again this month with this book. Lani Lynn Vale’s Vodka on the Rocks gets 5 smooches from me!

Lani Lynn Vale’s Uncertain Saint’s MC series is unique in the fact that its members are all on the right side of the law…now don’t get me wrong, these bikers aren’t afraid to bend the rules and do what’s necessary in order to get the job done, but they work around the law, not completely against it.
Casten Red might be the “resident bad boy” for the Uncertain Saints, but it’s only because he makes it incredibly difficult to read his expressions and he remains unaffected, at least visibly, so that people stay away from him and allow him to do his job and live his life the way he likes it - unattached and unapproachable. But Casten’s never met anyone like Tasha Gonzales, and when she gets under his skin and through his walls, regardless of how hard he tries to keep her out and not let on about how much she affects him, Casten finds himself giving a shit and wanting to give Tasha every part of him.
For many years, Tasha’s simply been existing due to a past that has left her scarred and fragile. But the back and forth banter that consumes her relationship with Casten makes her feel more alive than she’s felt in a long time and because Casten brings out her feistiness, it’s definitely a battle of wills until their feelings for one another finally explode, and they both realize what they have might be worth the fight.
Like all of Vale’s books, suspense and drama complicate the new relationship and force the characters to face their pasts as well as acquire the back up of the MC club as well as other key players from Vale’s other series in order to keep people safe and bring down anything or anyone that gets in the way of the hero and heroine’s happy ending.
I really enjoyed Casten and Tasha’s story, and even though it was hard to get a read on Casten, I love that Tasha didn’t take any crap from him and gave as good as she got. The bond that Casten has with his sisters as well as Tasha’s relationship with her sister and parents make the story line that much better because it shows the amount of people who have their backs and what they’re willing to do to protect their own.
I can’t wait for the next book in this series!

Humm... while this was a quick and light read it really didn't hit my expectations from the blurb. I thought this was an MC story and while the club, cuts and motorcycles were mentioned; the men could have easily been in any other job and the story would not gave chsnged.
The characters were funny and well developed and the plot was decent. I thought this was a standalone and while I could follow the story line well enough; there were too many details missing. Like what was Casten's job both in life and as part of the MC? It read as unfinished because I had not read the previous books in the series. I wasn't introduced to characters, it was just expected that I know them.
The ending was fast and there were epiolgues but they didn't match the tone of the book for me. They were too sweet and Casten was suddenly so sweet and loving, he lost a bit of his gruffness, that gave him quality. I can go on, but I will leave it here. Good story, just not what I was expecting or necessary wanted.
Oh... and for other readers like me, there needs to be a Trigger Warning on this book. There are two instances of animal violence and neglet. Its a hard limit for me and I am extremely dissapointed it never seems to make the list of warnings.

I liked Tasha a lot, but I found Castien to be a bit of a douche.
I totally understand not wanting to give a woman the wrong impression, but the way he went about it was the definition of douche canoe. He was still an ass after he realized that he wanted her to be his woman.
Then to use something similar to her past relationship to get her to back off was just appalling. I don't care if it was for her own good. It was just awful.
I had high hopes that she would make him grovel, but alas it didn't happen the way I wanted.
Why then did I give this 3 stars. Regardless of me not liking Castien, Lani Lynn Vale did some of her best writing in this one. I was engaged from the first, even though I though Castien didn't deserve Tasha's time.

Eu comecei a ler quando foi lançado e acabei parando... não estava conectando com a história e como é uma das minhas autoras favoritas eu parei a leitura e resolvi deixar para outro momento.
Realmente foi uma boa opção e acabei amando a leitura.

Complete nonsense and kind of a waste of time. The author tried to build tension by including tons of drama but the whole thing fell flat. There were emergency appendectomies, gun shot wounds, stalkers, back-from-the-dead ex-boyfriends, fist fights, house fires, hurt pets, miscarriages, old IED wounds, break-ins, mistaken identity courtesy of an identical twin brother, and a sister with baby momma drama. And yet, despite all of the above, I yawned through the whole thing.

Yet another bullshit I’m breaking up with you for your own good in this book. These uncertain saints are losers. Alpha males take what they want. There is nothing uncertain about them. This series has been one long disappointment.

I am reading this Series. I think that these two are my favorite couple. Tasha and Casten. I love the storyline here. I guess be cause he was former military. Texas as the setting is also a plus.

LOVED THIS ONE THE MOST SO FAR!!!!
Tasha and Casten are soooo much fun together...I loved loved loved this story..even if it had some danger...and I was heart broke when the dog got hurt....and there were several bumps in the road...Tasha and Casten are meant to be..and I loved how the ending showed us them happy and with babies!!!! Loving this series!! On to book 4!!!
