Kamasutra, el Manga
El Kamasutra (“los aforismos sobre el amor”) es un antiguo texto hindú que trata sobre el amor, el deseo sexual y las relaciones de pareja. Su autor Vatsyayana (c. siglos III-V dC) lo escribió con el objetivo de compendiar, en la forma de un breve manual accesible a todos, las antiguas enseñanzas sagradas del kamashastra (“la ciencia del amor”).
Muchos piensan que el kamasutra es un compendio de posturas sexuales, pero este tema ocupa solo un capítulo del tratado. Como muestra esta versión manga, fiel al texto original, el kamasutra es una verdadera guía para llevar una vida virtuosa, placentera y plena, en el amor, las relaciones y la propia naturaleza.
El amor nunca es una cosa hermosa y transparente. Pero la gente no puede vivir sin amor. Por eso, nuestros ancestros adquirieron los conocimientos sobre el amor y se esforzaron por recorrer el camino correcto. Este camino correcto que nos conduce es el “Kamasutra”.

Mallanaga Vātsyāyana
119 books158 followersVātsyāyana is the name of a Hindu philosopher in the Vedic tradition who is believed to have lived around 3rd century CE in India. His name appears as the author of the Kama Sutra and of Nyāya Sutra Bhāshya, the first commentary on Gotama's Nyāya Sutras.
Hardly anything is known about him, although it is believed that his disciples went on his instructions, on the request of the Hindu Kings in the Himalayan range to influence the hill tribals to give up the pagan cult of sacrifices. He is said to have created the legend of Tara among the hill tribes as a tantric goddess. Later as the worship spread to the east Garo hills,the goddess manifest of a 'yoni' goddess Kamakhya was created. His interest in human sexual behavior as a medium of attaining spirituality was recorded in his treatise Kama Sutra.
At the close of the Kama Sutra this is what he writes about himself:
"After reading and considering the works of Babhravya and other ancient authors, and thinking over the meaning of the rules given by them, this treatise was composed, according to the precepts of the Holy Writ, for the benefit of the world, by Vatsyayana, while leading the life of a religious student at Benares, and wholly engaged in the contemplation of the Deity. This work is not to be used merely as an instrument for satisfying our desires. A person acquainted with the true principles of this science, who preserves his Dharma (virtue or religious merit), his Artha (worldly wealth) and his Kama (pleasure or sensual gratification), and who has regard to the customs of the people, is sure to obtain the mastery over his senses. In short, an intelligent and knowing person attending to Dharma and Artha and also to Kama, without becoming the slave of his passions, will obtain success in everything that he may do."

Descubrí que el Kamasutra es mucho más que una publicación de postura sexuales. Erróneamente se cree que este texto es casi pornográfico.
Es un texto que pretende ser referente de las relaciones amorosas ideales (para aquel momento de inicios de nuestra era). Se ocupa de cosas tan amplias como los diferentes tipos de abrazos, besos, quejidos, suspiros, golpes, conversaciones entre amantes, etc. De cómo acercarse a las mujeres en edad de casarse, cómo reaccionar ellas ante los pretendientes. Es una especie de libro de buenas costumbres amorosas. Qué se debe decir, qué gestos se deben hacer. Cómo interpretar lo que hace el amante. Y desde luego una serie larga de posturas sexuales.
Algunos temas podrían tildarse hoy de misóginos o incluso violentos contra las mujeres. Pero también, paradójicamente, se ocupaban de señalar que la satisfacción sexual tenía que ser mutua, tanto del hombre como la mujer.
¡Muy interesante libro! Habrá que buscar la obra original.

El feminismo hace que el 1 se capítulo sea el único que me gusto y leí rápidamente, lo siguiente se entiende para la época, a pesar de esto es un libro de enseñanza del amor en diferentes situaciones mucho más allá de las posiciones, este libro manga es la pincelada perfecta para saber un poco del libro original

No tengo muchas palabras. Era verdad que es prácticamente un manual para ser la esposa ideal para la cultura de un país como la India. Vivir y respirar por el esposo, dejar que tenga amantes y mas esposas, no enojarse jamás, etc.
Respecto al tema sexual, le encontré bastante coherencia con la vida real.
Las dibujos son muy "cute".

Me gustó cómo no solo se centra a las posturas, sino que se centró más en una visión de la vida. Aunque, al final pareció un libro de cómo ser "buenas esposas", pero no lo puedo juzgar, es un libro antiguo, y lo leí con una visión crítica
