Thrust into a nightmare, Thea thinks all hope is lost, until an unexpected rescue by three strangers. Forget returning to her old life though, because not only does a psycho vampire want her back, a trio of wolves wants to claim her as their mate.
What started out as a search for his missing sibling, turns into a rescue mission of a woman who makes his inner beast howl. Trent knows it wrong to want his dead brother’s mate, but he can’t help himself, and neither can his friends. However, danger stalks the one they want and they’ll have to face true evil before they can set her free.
And for an outcast wolf, the path to redemption is lonely. Can Jaxon ever atone enough to be welcomed back to his pack and into the arms of the woman he loves?
Hello, my name is Eve Langlais and I am an International Bestselling author who loves to write hot romance, usually with werewolves, cyborgs or aliens .
I should warn you, I have a twisted imagination and a sarcastic sense of humor something I like to let loose in my writing. While well known for my shifter stories, I am also extremely partial to aliens, the kind who like to abduct humans and then drive them insane...with pleasure. Or do you like something a little darker, more serious? Then check out my cyborgs whose battle with humanity have captivated readers worldwide.
Loved it! I guess Seeking Pack Redemption has a taboo factor that most people do not like. But I didn't have a problem with it at all.
In Eve's books the Lycan kind have polyamory relationships. In book one and two of this series both heroines end up getting pregnant from one of her mates or another. Why is it not taboo then?
Seeking Pack Redemption had a great HEA for all characters involved and leaves you with a great cliff hanger, drooling over what will happen next. I am so happy for Jaxon and almost cried when they were complete once again. I wonder if we will be seeing more of Marc in the next one. Who is the mystery girl at the end...? I must know! Cannot wait to see what while happen next!
I really the way Eve carried out the storyline and brought in the different emotions and action, you don’t normally see this in Eve’s books. I really feel that one day soon you’ll find Eve writing a novel that will blow our socks off if she keeps going like this. Her novellas are getting longer and I can see she’s letting her characters grow more.
Warning spoiler below! I really hate spoilers but I feel like those that have ick issues needs to know so they won’t buy the book and end up hating it and giving hate reviews.
Some will have ick issues with this book but life isn’t always full of roses and this is what I liked best about this book. Yes, the heroine is pregnant and the father of the baby dies, so the brother sees her as a mate. The key factor to me was she was never married to the baby’s father and by what I read they were not together for a long period of time. Reading a pregnant woman having sex is no bother to me, heck I am reading a ménage story with a woman getting it on with 3 hunky guys, so why should a pregnant woman having sex bother me lol.
My biggest complaint is I didn’t feel like the heroine had enough time with her mates, it felt rushed after they meet.
If you read the second book you’ll find Jaxon’s story is finished and I really like how it was handled.
I feel this is a series that needs to be read in order to grasp what is happening.
* You need to have read the previous books to understand this story.
When Thea met David she thought she met the love of her life. Little did she know David was a shifter possesed by the evil vampire/wolf Roderick. Then he takes her prisoner and since she is pregnant he wants to turn her unborn baby in his first super-soldier. Thea wants to get out and when she escapes she meets a group of shifter men who are not only her mates, but want to dispose of Roderick just as bad as she does.
Pro's: + Thea's character development is well written and you can really feel her dilemma's and all the events she goes through. She suffers abuse but in the end she manages to come out on top, and even though she is a bit ditzy sometimes she is a very likable female lead. + This book and the previous book are woven together and the author really managed to keep it easy to read and clear. You never get confused about which storyline you follow and the ending is very ( VERY) satisfying.
Con's: - I found the romances between Thea and her men very rushed and I feel like the romances were sacrificed for the overarching storyline and the storyline of the previous book. It was fun that Jaxon got his redemption in this book, but I felt like the story of the new characters suffered under the weight of his story. - Starting a new story on the last 1,5 pages of this book is not cool. I get the author wants to create some excitement for the final book, but placing a potential spoiler is just not ok.
This entry in the series had some good and some bad points to it. Overall I found this book the hardest to read, as the whole experience feels a bit flat in comparison to the previous books. The vanquishing of Roderick is satisfying, but the spoiler for the prevous book ruined that for me.
Wow this series just continues to be amazing! My rating.....5 Stars!!!.....to "Seeking Pack Redemption" Pack #3 by author Eve Langlais.
"Seeking Pack Redemption" is the third novel in this fantastic, erotic, suspenseful romance. Not only do we get the story of Thea, Trent, Marc, and Darren but we get to see Jaxon again. If you've read the previous book you'll know who I'm talking about. If you haven't, don't worry, I won't give any spoilers from the previous book.
Thea is pregnant and currently living with her baby's father. But soon things become dark and ominous around him and Thea doesn't know what to do. But before she can make up her mind whether to leave him or stay, she is kidnapped by the same evil that has been infecting the Lycans from the prior books.
Trent is on a mission. A mission to find his missing brother. Unfortunately what he finds is his brother's pregnant mate. Trent is angry, torn and confused but he is determined to protect Thea while trying to find answers. His two pack mates are determined to keep her safe as well. Darren and Marc.
Despicable evil is getting too close and always seems to be one step ahead of Hs/h. Things are not what they appear to be and friends end up enemies.
All the while, Jaxon is determined to atone for his sins. Even if they weren't his fault. But he only blames himself for his weaknesses. Jaxon will ally himself with Trent and his pack mates if only because they have the same goal. Destroy the evil. Jaxon is not trying to make up for his weaknesses; it is too late for that. But he will fight to assure his own mate is safe forever. I really loved Jaxon. One of the aspects I love about this series is how protective and possessive the males are about their mates. It so sexy and sweet. I love these alpha males!!!
The ending of this book is amazing and full of danger and suspense. The action is fast paced, exciting and there is an amazing HEA for everyone. Well....almost everyone.
Book four will take us forward with new and old friends, as well as a new villain with an even more evil threat. Can't wait to read, "New Pack Order." Everything is going to resolved in that book!
Eve’s Pack series is one of my favorite series from her. The world is darker than what readers typically find with her books. The lycan culture she has created is intense. They have very strict rules they live by for survival. Her lycans have polyamorous relationships so that they may thrive in their survival. I like how Thea gets every quality she needed in a male in the different guys. Trent is the strong backbone to Darren’s gentle caring.
Seeking Pack Redemption had an ick factor for me that is not going to bother any other person. The heroine Thea is pregnant. I’m strange, but it just wasn’t sexy. Eve’s books are full of sexy deliciousness. She writes amazing couplings and tripleings. I couldn’t get into the love scenes with this book.
This book had three main focal points (aside from the evil villain): Thea getting rescued and mated to her men, Jaxon trying to get back into the good graces of the Pack, and Thea’s dreams and memories of David. I wanted all to go well for Jaxon. I cried at the end of Betraying the Pack. His character tied into the events taking place in this book, but he took away from Thea and her mating. David’s memories got in my way.
This is not my favorite Eve book, I won’t lie. I loved much of the story though. I enjoyed seeing characters from pasts Pack books. I was so happy that a resolution for the Jaxon issue was found. I was very pleased to see the progress with the Roderick situation. Woot! Go team Pack! I wish there would have been more page time for Thea and her developing relationship with her mates. There were a few moments it felt rushed.
The ending gives readers a glimpse of another female. So I am pleased that there will be more of this very sexy shifter world to come from Eve.
What a wonderful followup to Betraying the Pack. Thea is Roderick's latest abduction victim and she's also pregnant. Trent and Darren are just two of the men that come to her aid and they were wonderful. I loved Trent's no beating around the bush, say what needs to be said attitude. This book was full of action and lots of fighting to keep you on your toes. There wasn't a lot of sex, more quality than quantity. The ending had a nice little twist that has me looking forward to the next book in the series!
I love Eve's writing and the Pack series, however Seeking Pack Redemption did not meet the expectations of the first 2 books. There were many flaws in this story and the character/relationship development was almost non existent. The story seemed rushed and I found the fact of that Trent had intimate relations with his brother's pregnant widow too taboo for my liking. I found myself skimming the intimate parts of the story (which is a first for me). Jaxon earnt the extra star. :)
Thea can't believe her life, first she realizes that her boyfriend is crazy and then she thinks she's going crazy too.... Vampires are real and so are Lycans....what is the world coming to, at least she's got some yummy eye candy to scope out even if Trent does seem like he doesn't want to look at her and Darron is all kinds of lickable giant
This book, the third of Eve Langlais’ Pack series, starts with the end of the previous one, from Jaxon’s perspective, Bailey’s younger mate. He was not strong enough when Roderick, the abomination half vampire-half werewolf, started to control him; however, in the end, when Roderick threatened Bailey and her other mates, he finds the power he needed to save her and the rest of her mates.
When Thea meets David, she thinks he is perfect … but she soon realizes that she is wrong. However, with a baby on the way, she makes excuses for his behavior. Until she discovers that there is something evil controlling him.
Trent is on the hunt trying to find his missing brother. He finds Jaxon and allies with him in his search, because he realizes that they’re both looking for the same target … Roderick.
Kept prisoner, Thea is losing hope. She discovers that she is a dormant wolf and sees how Roderick makes David kill himself.
I totally loved the scene where Trent, with his two friends, Darren and Marc, and Jaxon, are coming to save Thea and search for David.
Just in case, he was ready to go furry, stripped naked with his clothes tucked up a tree. Someone with a video camera would have a blast if they saw him tiptoeing through the underbrush, his man parts swinging free. Lycans, though, would think nothing of it, because nudity was a regular part of life. After all, the budget for new clothes only went so far.
So, naked as the day of his birth, he waited for the signal. Darren and Marc also waited in their own spots, silent and covered in a hunter’s perfume—a.k.a. fucking animal piss, which made his eyes burn—to mask their scent.
See a neck? Bite down hard. Feel movement? Duck. Catch one trying to tuck tail and run? Pounce and take him down.
And this following scene is hilarious. Some men are simply stupid:
Marc: “She ran away from me.” He sounded incredulous. “I thought when you rescued a damsel they were supposed to throw themselves at the man and thank them for being their hero? A nice thank-you kiss? Or a promise of a bj for later?”
Darren: “You’re an idiot. The girl is terrified and here we are, naked as the fucking day we were born, wolves all over the place, covered partially in blood. I’d be freaking, too.”
Marc: “That’s because somewhere down the line, one of your ancestors fucked a pussy.”
I loved Darren from the start, especially after his conversation with Marc. He is the perfect man every woman dreams of. But upon reading what he thinks after the realization that he has just found his mate, made me love him even more.
They were strangers. All he knew currently was her name—and the fact she possessed a wicked wiggle—but their stranger status didn’t bother him. Part of the excitement involved getting to know her and finding out what fate had in store. First, though, he’d have to aid her in getting over her abduction and abuse.
And as if he weren’t perfect enough, here you have their first conversation.
“Why are you doing this?” she asked, her voice low so as to not carry.
“Doing what?” he asked, keeping his answer short so as to not waste breath.
“Carrying me? Risking your life?”
Was it too soon to say because he intended to claim her as his forever? Probably. “You’re not that heavy. And I’ve always wanted to be a hero.”
“Heroes save princesses. I’m not that special.”
“I beg to differ. My name, by the way, is Darren.
And this is only the start. I think I just found my dream lover.
Well, back to the story, the men have to protect Thea. They can’t go back to the pack; Nathan, their temporary alpha, declared them rogue for leaving; so the only way of keeping her safe is to kill Roderick. Easier said than done. Here comes Marc with a good idea … they could find a vampire to ask, though they couldn’t be happy with the attention he gets, especially if they are a so secretive society.
Marc is not the only one who considers this, Jaxon does too.
I’ve been looking while tracking the undead fucker. But it’s not like I can post an ad saying ‘Hey, vampire dudes, lonely werewolf looking for tips on killing your kind.’
Dana, Nathan’s mate, it’s not thrilled with the idea.
“Oh, yes. I can see that working. Hey, vampire dudes, alpha wolf wants to meet to discuss how to kill your kind. P.S.: BYOB. Bring your own blood.”
They soon come to realize that Marc is controlled by Roderick, but they need to destroy the abomination.
In the end, they follow every step the vampire tells them to do. But is Roderick dead? And who is the woman captive we read about in the epilogue? I’m sure she is the heroine of the next book of the series, and I can’t wait to read it. Man, if only I could travel in time to get the book …
I admit that at first I didn’t like Thea, because it seemed to be just a weak woman who accepts her abuse and does nothing. There are so many women like this in the world that there’s no need for characters like her. In the present day, women are strong enough to fight for what they want and claim their freedom, so they shouldn’t wait to be rescued … the rescue might never come. But Thea slowly redeems herself; I wouldn’t expect anything else from my favorite writer Eve Langlais. Her heroines are always strong and powerful and have wonderful, awesome, potent and attractive heroes. Like Darren—did I already said that he is my dream lover?
I loved this line when Thea is about to claim her second mate, Darren, while her first, Trent, is there with them:
Good girls didn’t sleep with two guys. However, she’d always wondered if bad girls had more fun.
While we love Darren from the start, Trent is different. He starts his search assuming that in the end he will find David, his little brother, and that everything will be fine. However, that is not going to happen. When he discovers the truth from Thea, he is shocked and acts like a jerk because he doesn’t understand how his brother could have all the bad qualities Thea tells him of. Trent knew David was weak, but they shared the same blood. And now that he found his mate in Thea, who is carrying his nephew, he doesn’t want to be the second.
To go where his brother had already gone.
Still, from time to time, he frees the sensible guy who is within so he is ultimately redeemed too. And he simply loves Thea so he cannot resist her. Yummy, but I still prefer Darren.
And Jaxon gets his forgiveness he was searching for.
5 couples and looking forward to read the fourth book. Will it be the last one of the series? Please, Eve share your secret.
I am not as mad as I was with the previous book although I'm still very mad that Jaxon went back to his mate (even though I knew he would) because she doesn't deserve him! I cannot believe how much I did not like the FMC from the previous book...
As for this book: it's a lot more focused on the big overarching story than the romance of this book, which made the romance and the story of this book's FMC and her mates very very rushed and I just did not care for them. This would be easily forgiven if the overarching story was done well, but that also seemed silly and not so suspenseful or entertaining. At least most plot lines were closed.
Oh, I also did not like the different intensity mating bond thingy. Like we are either all equal or we are not fated mates.
Will I read the next book? I don't know. I mean I assume it will be different and hopefully I will not see Bailey in that book at all. So maybe.
Edit later: the other book features a vampire and a wolf shapeshifter for our FMC so I will read it. Although I'm not thrilled Marc is trying to redeem himself and find his mate cause I did not like him as an MMC in this book anyway. Plus, can you have more than one mate? Didn't he sniff Thea as his mate?
This book three in a series mostly about weres....... I enjoyed the dynamics of the Pack and found the Pack law on mating a new interesting idea. However the writers use of words like sleeve or tunnel, ridged shaft made me cringe. They women all seem to mewel? While having sex which is weird word anyway, but everytime?....Most moan, or scream.....are they wolves? Or cats...without the authors terrible description of sex the books are a fun read. I started skipping those pages to get back to the story.
Eve Langlais has created a fun world of werewolves and now vampires with lovable sexy males and relatable female leads. These are always quick reads with enough action and romance to keep you engaged. By the end of each book, you will have favorites from each mating (they’re polyamorous so of course you’ll have plenty of choices 😉) and another girlfriend to add to the Pack’s leading ladies. The spice level is high enough to be risqué but not too smutty to scare off newbies to PNR.
Lots of sex and more sex sheesh 😂😂 Well the ending of this story is kinda leading me to believe that Marc and this mysterious woman are going to be the next villains in the series. Hopefully I’m wrong. Trent, Darren and Thea built a huge bond between them. Leaving out Muddle Minded Marc to be the next carrier for Roderick. We’ll see!! 😊😊😊😊💜💜💜💜🥰🥰🥰🥰
I've enjoyed the 2 books I've read in this series. I don't feel the need to read any more. At least Langlais gives you a decent storyline to go with the sex scenes, rather than relying on them to sell the book.
So happy with how this one turned out. Can't wait to see what New Pack Order brings for everyone. Emotional roller coaster and tears, but with perfectly timed comedy Eve had done it again.
That was so good, kept me on the edge of my seat for the whole story, and then, even when, it was supposedly resolved, what was that??? Not a cliffhanger, but a great set-up for the next story!
I'm going to start off by saying that I think if I'd read the previous two books, I would have liked Seeking Pack Redemption more. Even though the author provided a prologue as a way to provide background information as to what happened in the previous two books, I was still a little lost.
I didn't feel an emotional connection to any of the characters. There was a lot of plot focused around Jaxon and what happened to him, his mate Bailey and the pack. Because I haven't read the previous books, I had no emotional investment in the outcome of his story. As for the other characters, I felt that they weren't fully developed enough for me to be emotional invested. We're introduced to Thea, who's pregnant and living with her boyfriend David. David goes from super sweet to violent in the blink of an eye. It turns out that there's more to David that Thea did not know. Thea is kidnapped and is thrust into a world where there's werewolves and vampires. Her life is in jeopardy and she is eventually rescued by Trent, David's brother, and his friends.
In this pack work, polyamory is the norm. It's not unusual for a woman to be mated to up to four men. This didn't bother me. What bothered me was that Trend saw Thea as his mate. His brother's "widow" who is carrying his brother's child. It kind of icked me out and things got even more icky as Thea, Trent and Darren (friend who also saw Thea as his mate) had hot, ongoing monkey sex. I just couldn't get past the fact that Thea is pregnant - visibly pregnant from the descriptions in the story. And she is getting it on like it's nobody's business. I didn't feel any emotional connection between the three. To me, their mating was all about sex and protecting Thea and the baby but I didn't believe that it went any deeper than that.
I'm definitely going to go back and read the previous two books because I do feel like I'm missing a big part of the puzzle in this series that prevented me from liking it more.
If you're looking for the quick sex scenes and not the plot it doesn't happen until half way through the book. This one is quite interesting as all the wolves are considered rouge, and don't have a pack. Trent and his BFFs Darren and Marc go with him in search of his long lost little brother.....on the other side the woman of said little brother, David, is being held captive by none other than Roderick, he's really annoying you know? But this book actually has quite a bit of plot, which surprised me. Anyways there are some open ended questions, which lead me to believe the story is not over, and going to Eve's we page shows there will be a fourth book sometime. Can someone get on that to add it to goodreads so I don't forget to check up on the book to see if it is released lol? Overall very interesting, a bit sad too, but we also touch base back with POVs from Bailey, and then Nathan and Dana.
Seeking Pack Redemption is the 3rd book in the Pack series and it's still going pretty strong. Sexy, fun and exciting from start to finish. It's another Eve Langlais great that all fans of the genre and of Eve, will enjoy :)
Poor Thea! She's a sweetheart of a woman that (unfortunately) is pretty much thrown into the world of paranormal completely unaware of the fact. On top of that, she learns how...different it all is compared to the world she's used to. It's much more open, freeing, accepting and frightening. Even more so when she meets Trent, Darren and Marc...
An excellent continuation from book 2 which has left me super hyped for book 4. Not that it's 100% necessary, but I highly recommend reading the other books of the series before starting up on this one. It's just an all around fun series to get into.
Seeking Pack Redemption was a wonderful addition to the Pack series. It answered many questions that were brought up in earlier books. It also brought us many more questions. Questions we need answers to.
I love the menage aspect of the packs. They're reasoning is wonderful. It's a necessity and everyone seems to love it.
The underlying subplot involving Roderick was wonderful and I was glad to see a conclusion, of sorts to that problem. I don't think it's the end of Roderick, but at least now we'll have a different type of problem to deal with.
This one is obviously not the end of the series as several things were brought up in this book that need answers.
This was a whole lot better than I expected it to be. Going into this one, I was expecting cheesy smut with not a whole lot of character-substance and no plot. Boy was I proven wrong! The plot was solid, the suspense of it all kept me on my toes, and the characters were well rounded. I ended up really liking the main players.
It didn't take long for me to figure out that I should have read book one and two first. A lot of the time I felt left out and didn't have a clue as to what was going on. And the way this book was left, there is no doubt that there will be more to this series.
My one "beef" with this book, is that the smut is M/F/M. No M/M/F. Meaning no interaction between the men. *grumbles*
Will I read the rest of the books in the series? You bet your ass I will!!
This book answered some questions that I ask when I reviewed the second book. This book describes what happen to Jaxon, and I'm happy with the ending he got. The brutality of some of the scenes makes me cringe a bit. The guys that the heroines have in this series are declining, the heroine in this book only have two lovers. I don't like that the third guy isn't given a chance to be Thea's mate, but he lacks discipline and control I guess. Plot-wise, it is nice, but I hate some of the decisions Nathan and Dana makes. The ending of this book gives us a glimpse of the next part of the series, hope there is another villain aside from Roderick.
Eve Langlais has a comedic and sexy way of writing. Her books are quick reads, but are very addictive and pretty well developed. She writes love stories that have less courting and more fate involved, but always a conflict that brings her lovers closer together.
I thought this book was really cute. We have a man who just wants to save his brother and has no idea of the darker forces underfoot. A woman betrayed by the man she thought she loved and the father of her child. And a man who is trying to redeem himself to everyone even tho he cannot forgive himself. And in the end the good guys finally win.. or do they.
I liked the third installment. but mainly i loved the fact Jaxon was alive. he was a changed wolf but he was alive. *does a little happy dance* because the ending in the second made me sad, vey sad. i loved that some things were resolved and the fact that there was an opening for another installment. and then i checked Eve Langlais' site and theres one coming out next year. i wonder if Bailey's little girl and Thea's baby have anything to do with the next one!
