There were twist & turns & turns. I was surprised by the ending. It was bittersweet. I' m torn if I want a sequel or prequel. In a way I do but then I think this is good as standalong.


The son is off the chain. His Grandmother is a piece of work & her son (his father).....SMDH

All though I felt sorry that the mom passed. I can't help, but feel that the mom was stupid. Don't get me wrong I love how she put God in all that she did, but she still should've seen the signs. Of all the problems her son had. I wonder if she really thought the best friend would really sleep with big John. She had to know deep down it was more to the story. Big John was a whole hoe for raping in kids when they were young. Some people r so sad. I still wonder what the best friend brother did to get him and his killed that was messed up.

I just finished it. I'm a little late but I must say you are truly gifted. Omg.. this book was a page turner. It was so good to read a book that wasn't about gangs or whores. This is truly your calling, continue to do what God has blessed you with. I literally felt like I was there or watching a movie. Bravo April Black. This has by far been the best book I have read in 2016

This is a sensational story! From the realistic characters to the gut wrenching storyline, this well written story had me on pins & needles anxious to find out what would happen next! This story was shocking throughout, placing all my emotions on alert & made it difficult for me to put down! I highly recommend this book to all!

This book was honesty one of the best books I've ever read. I like that it had a lot of twists you didn't expect. I would recommend this book to anyone how loves an awesome story.
