Hot and steamy with a little sweetness thrown in!!
~~~I received an ARC of Forbidden by Vesper Vaughn for an honest review!~~~
Forbidden is the first book that I have read by Vesper Vaughn, and boy am I hooked!!!
Tessa is in a dead end, on-again-off-again relationship with a douche bag, Paul. To get away, she travels to see her friend in San Francisco. On her last night in town, she goes to a club and is "saved" by a hot beast of a man when three college idiots start to manhandle her. Tessa throws caution to the wind and thanks this stranger by a mind blowing one-night stand. Who could blame her? He is tall, dark, and handsome, with chiseled features, tattoos and a man-bun. He is brooding, dark, and menacing, but sooooooo yummy! One night is all she gets, because when she wakes up, he is gone.
Though like lots of women who always revert back to the comfortable, she returns to Paul because he shows a little remorse and begs for her to try again. Mistake!!!!!!!!!
Nine months later Tessa goes to her mother's wedding with her loser boyfriend and who does she see? Surprise!!!!! It is the hot stranger from the club. What are the odds? The bigger surprise? Tessa doesn't only get a step-dad at this shindig, she gets a step-brother. Guess who? And to top things off with her emotional baggage, she's 9 mos pregnant?!?!?!
I really enjoyed this book, the author had a great premise with this book and executed it perfectly. Her characters were well developed and I loved how time elapsed in the book. She didn't just keep droning on and on. I loved that Tessa's mom was an issue, but quickly came around and accepted the fact that Jax and Tessa were meant to be.
I would highly recommend this book to anyone interested in a fantastic step-brother romance!!

I received an ARC of Forbidden for an honest review.
Forbidden is the first book that I have read by Vesper Vaughn. I honestly enjoyed this book. I am a big fan of Taboo books and this one was right up my alley. It was steady paced, dramatic, and HOT, HOT, HOT.
Tessa is in a dead end relationship with a dweeby douche guy, Paul. The broke up for the millionth time. To get away, she travels to see her friend in San Francisco. Hi! My name is Stacy and I am a Vesper Vaughn addict!
Lord have mercy! I am a HUGE fan of Stepbrother romances and I cannot formulate words on how AWESOME this book was. I couldn't put it down, and as I stated before, I'm an addict now.
This is the first book I have read by Ms. Vaughn and I can't get my hands on her books fast enough. Jax has replaced all of my current book boyfriends. Tattoos...'nough said!
I really enjoyed this book, the author had a great premise with this book and executed it perfectly. Her characters were well developed and I loved how time elapsed in the book. She didn't just keep droning on and on. I loved that Tessa's mom was an issue, but quickly came around and accepted the fact that Jax and Tessa were meant to be. I wasn't a fan of Jax's dad, can you say douchebag? And don't even get me started on Paul the jackass.
This was a fun quick read, and it will surely keep you entertained. It's a taboo tale that will have you lusting for a Jax of your own.

This is the first time I've received an ARC in return for an honest review, and I'm so stoked!
Forbidden was an easy read, finished it in 1 night (about 4 hours). I have a thing about a writer's style so I was pretty curious if I'll like her style or not. (I was worried that if I didn't, it'll be a bummer because I'll be turning off my iPad after 5 sentences, and tada - no review) Guess what??? I liked and really enjoyed it. The story is pretty light and fast, there's an evil mom and an annoying boyfriend - easy. Then there's the H and h chemistry. It was sweet, it was hot and heavy. Not a lot of characters. It did kinda get slow in the middle. H was not a mean alpha, I loved how his role transformed from Mr. CEO, man beast, trust fund baby, alpha male to being a (Mr. blank and full-time blank) in the end, totally unexpected. It's a HEA so I absolutely loved the ending, too.

I have come to the conclusion that you cannot start an Vesper Vaughn book and expect to take your time. You are going to devour it in one sitting...
After having an spectacular one nighter... Tessa and Jax move on with their lives but can't stop thinking about each other.. then their worlds come crashing together.. and how fun was that!!??
Can I just say.. I did not like Paul.. he's an asshole... and Tessa's mother was such a fake bitch
I honestly think that Jax and Tessa need to move into Jax's childhood home after reading that epilogue!! It would suit them to the T!!!!

This book I loved every second of it it had a few typos but that didn't take away from how awesome it was I loved Jax so much oh my he was so sexy and I loved Tessa she was awesome and I loved that she loved her body and didn't hate the way that she looked I loved that about her I wished that she stood up to her mom but unloved the way they made up I don't want to give away too many spoilers but it was not what I expected and that made it even better I loved how the story unfolded exceptional writing I was captivated from start to finish

Loved and loved this book. I read this book in 3 hours non stop. I couldn't put it down. I really not a big fan on the stepbrother scene but this book was too cute to pass. Thank you for the free read. I enjoyed it very much. Tessa just broken up with bet big turns and never had a o men night stand before. She got drunk and met with tattoo Jax. She then came home and gotten back together with Paul. 8 months she act her mom wedding.

I really enjoyed Forbidden. I have to admit I wasn't thrilled with the way Tessa allowed Paul and her mom to walk all over her but I loved the way that Jax cared for her and wanted to protect her. I especially loved the turn of events near the end of the book and the fun and very satisfying final chapter. As always, Versper Vaughn delivers a sexy, entertaining read.
