For somebody who lives by a gun Matthew is pretty inept in his gunfights. He starts a fight and is immediately in inferior tactical situation which results of him breaking a leg, getting shot etc. Professional killer behaving like that will not be around for a long time. If you don't know a lot about guns don't go in the details - remember there is devil there. There is enough firearm historians or simple gun nuts who can explain author how single action handgun works in minute detail so we would not have to read total gibberish written in the book. After that we have Colt .45 who fires 44-40 ammunition!! Seriously!!? Little research is going a long way!!

Excellent series

I am fascinated with the different view of "the way things were.
Having missed #2 & #3 in the series ( I can only get kindle unlimited books) I'm sure I missed a lot of character development but Ms. Ryder makes it a pleasure to read even when I am missing info.
