This is book eight of an alpha billionaire romance series by USA Today best selling author Sky Corgan.
Piper Gravatt thought she had a perfect life. She had just graduated from college and was about to marry the man of her dreams. Then it all went to hell.
Dark circumstances led to even darker desires, and there was only one way to bury her pain. Her new Never fall in love. Never give yourself over completely.
Life is bleak except for pleasure. And there's only one place that Piper can go to get what she needs to survive. Club Fet, where the men are hot and the acts of lust are unconventional.
Being discrete doesn't always work, though, especially when paths cross in all the wrong places. Powerful men lurk in the shadows and one, in particular, is determined to destroy everything that Piper is.
Torn by Sky Corgan was a great book. Many things havent been going Piper's way as of late. Piper enjoys diving into her dark desires at Club Fet. Little did she know her private life and Club Fet life would cross paths. I enjoyed this book and can't wait to read more by Sky Corgan.
Piper is in a quandary. Holden’s chauffeur has arrived and Holden is not in the car, so once again Piper is suspicious; she thought they were supposed to be going out together for dinner and the fact that he hasn’t turned up makes her feel uncomfortable, wondering if there is something sinister and dark going on. Holden thinks Piper is ruining his surprise, after all he didn’t just cook for anyone or bring outsiders into his home, but being there makes Piper feel awkward. For a casual dinner, the ambiance is romantic, but Holden says he wants them to get to know each other better for the sake of his Mother. The more they talk, the more Piper notices the difference in Holden. Coaxing Piper into his games room, the mood suddenly turns intimate; Piper cannot stand the sexual tension between them anymore and advances on him as he pulls away, abruptly bringing an end to their evening together. Piper decides to head out to Club Fet - tonight there will be no holes barred. Holden meanwhile reflects on the anger he felt when he was made to kneel before Piper; if anyone knew he would be laughed out of the Lifestyle. He needed to dominate and be back in control – he needed to go to Club Fet. Each want to forget about the other, but can they? Another excellent instalment in the series and I cannot wait to see how the story develops. I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Have you ever had a series that you can't wait for the last part because you want to see how it is going to end, but you want to keep reading it, and you don't want it to be over. This is how I feel with this series. I absolutely love this series. As soon as I get each part, I have to read it right then. When I finish a part, I wait not so patiently for the next one. Sky Corgan does an outstanding job developing her characters in a way that we feel like we know them personally. Then she develops a storyline that pulls you into the story, and then won't let you go. To me, the part that I loved best about this part is that we see a softer side of Holden and a stronger side of Piper. I received this book from the author in return for an honest review, and now it is on to Club Fet. I can't wait to see what is going to happen there. If you have not started this series, you need to get part one now, and get busy reading.

I received this book for free to give my True and Honest Review
Here we're seeing a completely softer side to Holden and a stronger side to Piper. Sky though in this episode everything is all very polite like two strangers meeting for say their first date, where the small talk is strained whilst they're trying hard to be poultry and maybe even trusting towards each other. But oh heck when he wants her to NOT run of STRAIGHT after dinner he praised persuade her to stay and play a game of the darts though she hasn't clue as she knew it'd be a quick hand but he doesn't want her to go, so you're there wondering why just as Piper is. It's like you can see that he's actually lonely. Then when he takes his to off you can just feel the HOT tension passing between them, especially whilst they're playing pool....
Designation: Part 8 of a Serial, Not a Standalone, Includes Cliffhanger
So TORN 8 is a 45 page novella that picks up right where part 7 left off. Piper has agreed to go to dinner with Holden. She is ready to back out, since she is having second thoughts of his sincerity. He has instructed his driver to bring her to his house where he has cooked dinner. She is convinced that he will try to poison her.
I enjoyed this installment, but I really want to get to the end of the story. It is almost painful, reading in such short segments.
Another cliffhanger! As much as I love this story, I want more! I am on the edge of my seat to see what happens next between Holden and Piper.
I received this for a honest review. Sky Corgan is doing a wonderful job on this series. This book is not a standalone so please read in order.
Piper has been through so much. Not only has she lost both parents but now plays the role of a mother for her two stop brothers. I love the fact that Piper and Earl are becoming close. I think Earl really feels for his sister well being.
Holden is trying to make mends. He truly went way over the line when he had Piper kidnapped. In the pervious book you probably remember Holden begging for Piper to have dinner with him. Piper truly does not know what she is faced with.
There is still a lot of sexual tension between Piper and Holden. Will these two ever find their way together? Will Piper ever be able to forgive him?

POR FIN ALGO DE AMOR. CENA Y EL COMENTARIO DE QUE NO QUIERE HIJOS SUENA SOSPECHOSO. YA IMAGINO QUE PASARA MAS ADELANTES Y ADEMAS DICE QUE A EL NO LE PASAN ACCIDENTES LO CUAL ES UNA CHORRADA COMO LO SOLUCIONA. LUEGO EL JUEGO DE BILLAR.... ES UNA HISTORIA TIPICA DE ENEMIES TO LOVERS. SE ODIAN Y LUEGO SE AMAN. PERO PASA LA CENA NORMAL Y A LA VUELTA SE ENCUENTRAN DE NUEVO EN EL CLUB FET.
I must give Sky Corgan 5 stars on this one. I had not expected Holden to actually beg Piper's forgiveness. But I believe inside this man lives someone with a heart who deeply cares for his ailing mother. And since his mother has admitted to loving Piper like a daughter then Holden knows what he must do. Piper at first wants to kill the macho, dominate, over baring male because of what he has put her through. She has every right to be afraid and want the worst to happen to the man. Once Holden shows her that he truly is sorry for what he has done the tension eases and sparks begin to ignite between the two of them.
I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review, and honestly... when I read the first book in the Torn series, I didn't know what to expect and I wasn't sure whether I liked it or not. As I read each of the books, I find myself hanging on to the edge of my seat wondering what is going to happen next. Just when I think I have the story figured out, Sky Corgan throws something totally unexpected into the story. Ms. Corgan weaves a story filled with suspense, mystery, lust, and so much more.
It was good to see Holden try and right the wrongs he has about Piper. He is finally seeing Piper as the good and kind person she has been all along. I am hopeful these two will finally get together and heal each other. They both have lost family they loved and now Holden is losing his Mother to cancer. Can't wait to see where Ms. Corgan takes their journey.
I love this series. Piper is nervous and scared about what Holden plans to do but it's not bad at all. He was true to his word. This book has a lot of crazy build up. I can't wait for part 9
Piper Gravatt's life has just been turned upside down. Her mother is gone and now she has had to come back to take care of her two step-brothers as there is no one left for them. Piper holds so much resentment towards them as now she needs to start over. She is given a job by Ann Longworth to help her out whenever she needs someone around the house and to take her to appointments.
Luckily Piper has found an escape at the local BDSM, Club Fet, where she first meets him.
Holden is not the man you think he is. Underneath his cool exterior is a man bent on control and getting what he wants and right now he has one goal - to get rid of Piper. How far will Holden go to get what he wants?
Will Piper be able to save herself or will she lose everything once she realizes what is at stake?
This was such a good book and right from the beginning I bonded to Piper and her story.
Piper was such a great character as she was at such odds with herself and I found she grew up so much in this book due to her talks with Ann. Piper had so many resentments towards her brothers at the beginning of the book and I really understood why. Yet as Piper and Earl began to communicate more the two formed a strong bond and I loved reading the change.
I also really liked the relationship between Ann and Piper. Ann really needed an independent friend and as the book goes on you understand why. I loved that Piper would never take advantage of Ann, no matter what she was accused of.
I hated Holden through almost the entire book. He was such a controlling ass and I honestly was so shocked at the things that he did to Piper. I couldn't believe how far he went to try and get her to submit to what he wanted. Every time I thought he was changing he would do something that would just show how much of a jerk he really was. I did understand why he was afraid to let anyone get close to him as he was losing everyone.
I wasn't surprised by the ending and I was happy with the ways things turned out as it showed the growth with the characters. Although I definitely would have liked a little more at the end about the brothers and how they were doing!- Rebecca
