I first read this book on Wattpad and immediately after it was taken down because Sandra Corton was getting it published. I loved this book and it is one of my go-to comfort read. I have a physical copy now and it is nice to have around but I don't understand why there are no page numbers (it drives me insane). Besides that, this book is super cute and romantic.
Brianna Morgan has had an extremely hard childhood and it has not gotten any easier as time went on. An orphan that is constantly thrown into different foster homes was not the life she choose but she puts that negative energy into her work. Despite the terrible pay and owners, Brianna loves the children she cares for at the local daycare. Her best friend Andy is her number one support but sometimes thinks she knows what is best for her. Brianna wins a once-in-a-lifetime solo trip to Hawaii conveniently after catching her horrible boyfriend cheating on her. Wanting to use this trip as a way to put her mind off of things at home, she meets a thoughtful and charming man at the hotel restaurant. Sparks fly but are short-lived as the trip comes to an end.
Chase Montgomery is a movie star who hates the limelight. He decides to take a short break between films and goes to Hawaii to try and relax. Annoyed by constant questions, autographs, and pictures he finds himself at the hotel restaurant/bar trying to escape his troubles. He soon discovers a beautiful girl who could care less about the chaos around her as she reads a book and drinks orange juice at the bar. Curious, he tries to get to know her only to discover she has no idea who he is. They spend the rest of the time in Hawaii inseparable until he wakes up one morning to find her gone. Having no way to contact her, he tries to move on.
A year later Andy is getting ready for her wedding. Brianna now the maid of honor is still overworked, underpaid, and unable to get a day off at the daycare. But as luck would have it Chase Montgomery shows up as none other than the best man for the wedding. The town is buzzing with excitement, except for Brianna. Thinking she is destined to be alone and miserable she is mortified to find out that the sexy man she met in Hawaii is famous and won't leave her alone. So Chase has to do what he does best, chase.
