Not sure why it has so many good reviews, it made me hate the girl. The first chapter is all about how smart she is, clearly not smart enough to spell check her book as there are numerous spelling mistakes. It's made quite clear she thinks she is better than everyone else referring to her friends (not co stars her friends outside of geordie shore) as her supporting roles and she's the star. She claims nothing is her fault, getting fat was ricci's fault for buying her takeaways apparently. She suffered depression due to getting arrested. After SHE attacked a girl with a stiletto. Yes thats right nevermind what the poor girl must be feeling. I've also never known anyone to go on about their weight this much. A poorly written book that only goes to show how highly vicky thinks of herself.

I mean, i had to read my favourite geordie shore's star's autobiography! The only thing that bothered me was that there were quite a few mistakes in this book but other than that i loved it and i simply adore Vicky!

I've been excited for this book ever since it was announced so was very happy to get my hands on a review copy. As she's known for her brutal honesty and killer put downs I really hoped this book would live up to its blurb. Well, it did and then some. Ultimately it has made me an even bigger fan and made me respect Vicky more and see her in a completely different light.

I loved reading about Vicky before she became famous especially the chapters surrounding her time at university in Liverpool and how she very nearly gave up because of how lonely she felt. I could definitely relate to her here, unfortunately my time at university didn't have the happy ending that hers had but I loved the fact she came to study in Liverpool. Geordies and Scousers are very similar so it was the perfect place for her to study. I'm assuming some people might be shocked that Vicky actually did well at school never mind has a degree, I loved that she was popular but friends with the 'geeks' too and that she wasn't afraid to say no to acting like an idiot in school. Young girls reading this book should take that advice and aspire to do well. A few years messing round with 'friends' you probably won't see when school is over isn't worth a lifetime of misery.

There is plenty of insider gossip into how Geordie Shore works which I enjoyed reading. We know it's the most realistic out of all the reality TV shows given that it isn't scripted and the cast are pretty much given free reign but it's quite twisted the way some things are done and whilst we see them getting drunk, arguing but ultimately looking like they are having an amazing time we don't really sit back and think about how it's effecting them emotionally. People automatically think fame and money brings you happiness but if anything it's the opposite here. Vicky was unhappy before she went into Geordie Shore, worrying about the future and saw it as a lifeline in a way but it was what happened when she got into the house that could have destroyed her. I think we all know what (or who) that was. Vicky speaks about her relationship with Ricci with searing honesty. It's no secret that their relationship was toxic. It was uncomfortable to watch and the chapters surrounding that weren't nice to read. That relationship could have ruined both her life and her career but luckily it didn't.

Vicky is very open and honest about everything she talks about, she takes the blame for things she has done wrong and the book is definitely a warts and all account of her life and not just the bits she wants us to read. Her battle with weight especially, she now looks the best she has ever looked and she's definitely an inspiration to women everywhere given the success of her DVD. As someone that has struggled with weight over the years and with comments from idiots in the real world it's no surprise to read about the abuse she got on Twitter, something about a keyboard brings out the worst in people and it's not nice.

Vicky definitely gets the last laugh though over Ricci, the Keyboard Warriors and anyone who has ever slagged her off in the past. I loved this section of the book and wish I had the courage to live my life like this: 'I believe in life you have to have the courage of your convictions and if you believe what you're doing is right then go with it and fuck everyone else'. I've spent much of my life wanting acceptance from others and worrying what they think yet Vicky shows at the end of the day the opinions of people you don't care for and don't care for you are worthless. Fans of Vicky and Geordie Shore will love this book and those with a negative opinion about Vicky or the show could read it and change their opinions.

"I've never been able to stomach people who sit around moaning about their lives being crap. If you want something, you have to go out and get it. No one is going to hand anything to you on a plate. That's not how life works."

This was the book I wanted when I picked up fellow Geordie Shore castmate Holly Hagan's book in January. Packed with behind-the-scenes gossip from all seasons of Geordie Shore and revelations about her controlling relationship with Ricci, this isn't a laugh-a-minute tale but a cautionary one.

It's clear that even though Geordie Shore isn't scripted, situations are manipulated - Vicky and Ricci's engagement for one. Vicky doesn't hold back about the nastier aspects of her recent past either, discussing the incident that left her up in court for assaulting someone with a stiletto.

She also talks a lot about her weight and self-confidence. She admits that she can be vain, that she has made mistakes, and talks about depression and the pressures that can come with being on television.

I enjoyed this - it didn't make me like Vicky any more or less but I still see her as the most intelligent castmate.

So I’ve never watched Geordie Shore and vaguely knew who Vicky Pattison was however found this in amongst my books from my charity shop book runs! Not sure what I expected if anything but was quite surprised as how easy a read it was. I like her brutal honesty I think that is a redeeming quality that shines through, along with a warmth of character. A smart and naturally witty young woman who knows what she wants from life and is able to learn from everything. An interesting insight into the world or reality tv which if I’m honest I have no clue about as I barely watch Tv as it is but I’m pleased I read it. Do wish Vicky well in the future and perhaps maybe she should take up writing as this was an easy read and I completed in less than a day.

Firstly , this is quite old now - it’s pre-I’m a celebrity stint anyway.

Honestly, it’s not written that badly - it is riddled with errors - but they’re easy to bypass. It’s also not exactly War and Peace, and I think you’d have to be silly to pick this up expecting anything profound.

I like to go out a lot, I’ve had my fair share of horrible men and I am constantly trying to lose weight. Therefore it was relatable enough , although at times it does feel like Vicky has a high opinion of herself … I do like her regardless tho.

2/5 just because I can’t justify more with the noticeable issues.

First of all, I LOVED Vicky on Geordie Shore, she was absolutely brilliant.

I picked this book up as I was just a young lass who was a huge fan, I also got Charlottes and Hollys books too, I loved it, it was an insight into Vickys world, a look into her life on Geordie Shore and really showed a different side to the Vicky we all saw and watched on tv.

I saw a gentler, softer side of Vicky. She is a wonderful woman, we all make mistakes when we’re young and shouldn’t judge, but this book clears a lot of things up. Brilliant read!

I am not one to turn up reading a celebrity autobiography so when I knew Vicky had one out I was excited to see the gossip she had to share and from my favourite Geordie Shore house member.
As always Vicky approached this booked with dignity and class. She provided the reader with enough information on all the subjects you would want to know about without being tacky about it.
It is just like the title, "Nothing But The Truth" but can you really expect anything different from Vicky.

Enjoyed reading this and its made me want to watch Geordie shore and ex on the beach for some entertainment where I can switch off my brain and relax. The book had so many mistakes in it though and there wasn't really enough content for an autobiography. I did really like Vicky but the book made my opinion of her change as she clearly thinks more of herself than she does her friends and she talks about her weight so much. She says things like 11 stone and size 12s are "fat"!!!

Vicky is one of my favourites and there is a fine line between witty and acid tongued, when she gets that right she is on fire. She comes across as smart and confident on screen and it was surprising to read about all her insecurities, which, only make her human. An interesting read, and why she is called Vicky with the VIP edge is also clarified.

Read this years ago before Vicky added the extra chapters. Really enjoyed re-reading the chapters about Geordie Shore as I do still love that programme. The extra chapters were interesting too as I found out some stuff I didn’t know about Vicky. Easy to read and follow, a lot of talk about weightless and what she weighs which isn’t for everyone but doesn’t bother me.

Loved this book, only learnt about Vicky via Geordie Shore and it was nice to read from her perspective. I love Newcastle area so some of the places she mentioned growing up or going out in, I recognised them which was nice and relatable.

I read this a very long time ago, I bought it the first week it came out and read it immediately. On a new Goodreads account here I am years later, reviewing it.. Again.

Firstly, let me say I am biased, Vicky Pattison is one of my favourites from Geordie Shore and I was intrigued to read about her and her life away from the Geordie Shore house.
Everyone knows her as “Volcano Vicky” from Geordie Shore or Vicky Pattison the queen of the Jungle (I’m a celeb) but I hoped this book would give me an insight on just “Vicky Pattison”. Whilst I loved it and learned a lot about her from this book, I felt like this book had a little too much blaming Ricci Guarnaccio for her downfall in the Geordie Shore house, this is what ultimately decided to only give 4*. The rest of the book was written well and I did enjoy reading but I saw the Vicky/Ricci scenario on the television and was hoping to not read a play-by-play in her book.

Overall, I still like Vicky and think she has come a long way from Geordie Shore, I am glad she is doing well for herself and if she ever wrote another autobiography I would most likely read that too.

THERE MAY BE SPOILERS FROM THE BOOK HERE, SO IF YOU HAVEN'T ALREADY READ THE BOOK, YOU MAY NOT WANT TO CARRY ON READING THIS REVIEW!!! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!

I grabbed this book first chance I had in Asda, but unfortunately I was busy reading a book already so had to finish that before I could read Nothing But The Truth. Once I did pick it up though, I could hardly put it down!

I have recently caught up with all seasons of Geordie Shore, even after I said I would never watch it when it first appeared on our TVs. To be honest, I thought the same as everyone else, what a bunch of twonks, making fools of themselves and giving Geordies a bad name. BUT... since watching it, I love it, and love watching new episodes each week. Vicky is one of my favourite GS people (along with Charlotte), so I was excited about reading her biography.

Right, onto the book. I actually really enjoyed reading this. Vicky is a loud, brash, confident lady on the outside, but after reading her book, I found she can also be a very scared, sad, and lonely person too. I was rather surprised at reading about how low, down, and insecure she became after her relationship with Ricci.

It was nice to read what Vicky done for a living before GS, I ever knew anything about 'VIP Vicky', and it was interesting to see how much she done in the clubs, working almost every night! But as you find out, although she loved the job working the VIP areas, she also got a lot of stick for it.

In all honesty, after watching series 1 of Geordie Shore, I disliked Vicky...a lot. But as she admits in her book, a lot of her good side wasn't shown on air, the producers wanted to paint her ad the 'bitch' of the group, therefore only showed her nasty side. Once I moved on through GS, I started seeing a different side to her. I was shocked at how, even thought there are no scripts at all, the producers have so much input as to what goes on in GS. Vicky mentions about her break up with Dan, a while after Ricci entered the GS house. On screen it made Vicky out to be a two-timer, getting with Ricci behind Dans back, where as in reality, she had recently broken up with Dan while taking a small break in the middle of filming GS. The producers didn't want any of that to get out, as they had wanted her to break up with him on air, therefore no one knew her and Dans relationship had ended before her and Ricci started dating properly. Little things like this that are mentioned throughout the book, make you realise a lot of what you see on the TV, although it is real, is also put together after filming in a very sneaky way.

I watched Ex On The Beach after only seeing 1 season of GS, therefore met Ricci before he was on GS. I remember thinking 'he doesn't seem that bad, he seems quiet. Vicky must be painting a bad picture of him with him being her ex'. It was only when watching the way Vicky seemed to change on GS, that I realised what a knob he actually is. And reading the book just clarified that even more. I'm glad Vicky has moved on and seems happy now.

Vicky s book Nothing But The Truth, is very eye opening. I would recommend this to and Geordie Shore fan, or to someone who has painted a picture of Vicky badly from hearing and reading media.

I ordered this book online along with Gaz and Holly's book because I thought that it would be interesting reading how they became a part of Geordie Shore and how it led to changes in their lives afterwards.

The thing about this book that made me not give it 5 stars was that I just didn't get hooked into it, nothing in there really made me care about Vicky, in a way I felt more that she made me dislike her, ironically considering it was an autobiography, because all she talked about was herself and all about her boyfriends and how they were hanging on her coat tails because she was just oh so successful and so they were using her fame to sell stories to the papers about her. It just made me think that she was self obsessed which isn't the person who I had felt her to be in the house.

Further, her saying that in the house when they give their green room talks about what has been going on in the house knowing that these are fake and that they have time after the show and that these get redone or aren't done at the same time as an event which they are commenting on makes me think that some of the humor which i find in Vicky to have the most amazing sense of humor may be fake, which for me i felt to be further proved by that lack of humor coming through in the writing, though this could be due to the use of a ghost author as I have found with other books, such as Michael McIntyre's autobiography you can really hear that it is him writing it and you can feel his sense of humor within it.

I enjoyed this; it's definitely the best autobiography from Geordie Shore. It was interesting to see Vicky's perspective on things and I think a lot of people will be surprised that she has a 2:1 degree, and believes in working hard.

My only complaint is some of the language used in this novel. Vicky claims to be a feminist but repeatedly refers to other women as "ugly", "slags", "sluts", "trolls" etc. Come on, Vicky. I also didn't like the repeated criticism of herself for putting on weight and "feeling disgusting, lazy and unattractive". She claims that she wants to be a good example to young girls, but how is this a good example? Telling girls that their worth is based on how much they weigh? That they can only feel good about themselves when they are thin? Perhaps Vicky should have rewritten these parts of the autobiography with a disclaimer/explanation. A girl can dream...

For a short review:

I think this book was excellent, I loved Vicky to start with and loved her even more after finishing her book. She is/was an interesting person to read and learn about, as all Geordie Shore showed people was her feisty side, the book digs deeper and exposes the soft side of herself.

This book was the best book I'd bought in a long time and I have no regrets. I could read this book again and again, because although it isn't comical like her persona on Geordie Shore was, it was pleasant to see a different side to her persona and to read about her life and her upbringing.

This book is brilliant for all audiences in my opinion (within reason) and I do believe that she is a brilliant young woman with a brilliant life ahead of her. And this book definitely made me want to read her fictional books!

Finished this book within two days, could not put it down when I had started to read it.

I loved Geordie Shore from the season 1, however Vicky was not one of my favourites. As she was always argumentative and bitchy towards other cast members.

I thought I would give this book a try. Vicky completely turned my opinion about her around from this book.

It started with her teen years and uni years, experiences which I have shared myself. Then moved on to Geordie Shore and it prime example everything you watch on TV/ read in magazines are not always the truth.
Inspirational story, about her public breakup with Ricci and her court case & shoe gate!

Overall a great read, could not put it down would defiantly recommend to people who like reading autobiographys.

I was really pleased when I found out that Vicky had brought out a book about her life, was a really interesting read. I had always wanted to know what happened behind the scenes when the cameras weren't rolling or of course what didn't make the cut.

I'm really pleased that she also brought up the subject of mental health and her troubles with Ricci. It just shows no matter who you are you can suffer with a mental illness and that it's okay to ask for help, and that people can go through mentally abusive relationships. Vicky is such a strong women and a good role model with the way she tackled things not necessarily the drinking LOL!

Look forward to what else she comes out with as well as books from the other cast members of Geordie Shore

I was surprised by how great this was .Vicky is a sincere and truthful person who admits her mistakes and where she has gone wrong and that is something many people can't do. I can agree that I was one of those people who went with a stereotype that she was going to be stupid and just a talentless 'reality' TV person. I was so wrong. she always knew what she wanted and did really well with education and to be honest I thought it was pretty inspiring how she got through her problems with weight and other things .it was really enjoyable to read such a 'real' read .

I am a fan of Geordie Shore and Vicky has always been one of my favourite cast members, so I found it rather enjoyable to read about her life. Parts were a little boring and dragged on, however it offers a good insight into the strange world of reality TV. (Ha! Poor Greg)

I was totally empathising with her situation around Ricci and their volatile relationship. During the chapters with Ricci I could feel myself getting sad, clutching the book a little closer as if the closer it was to me the more I understood it.

Light read if you like Vicky and her sarcastic sense of humour. I think it proves that she actually is an intelligent girl (as I've been saying all along). Loved the truth about Ricky, can't help thinking he's a bellend and after reading this book I've seen him on the celebrity dinner date and laughed my head off at the girls choices for him, I'm sure they picked all of them on purpose to make him look like a fool since none of them was his cuppa tea. Anyway as I said the book was ok, but I found it dragging towards the end.
