I may be a little biased since I LOVE the show MDLNY and find Fredrik to be hilarious so off the bat he gets a few extra points. Some background information on Fredrick Eklund is that he was born in Sweden where he lived a comfortable life, but could not afford any of the lavish things he wanted.Ever since Fredrik was a young boy he knew was different, he loved to sell. He started a internet startup at a young age, which became successful, but soon crumbled. With the remaining money he had, he left school and went to America even though many people doubted him and he had NO IDEA what he was going to do.He took the leap of faith and as he was there one of his friends suggested his personality would fit into real estate. So Fredrik took the necessary classes and in just a few years he rose to the top. Now Fredrik Eklund is the number one real estate broker in New York and one of the best in the country. He is also the founder of Eklund Stockholm and Eklund Oso which operates in different countries.
(Actual Review starts here) Fredrik Eklund lives the sell and after becoming the success that he is, he now wants to give back by sharing some of the secrets to selling anything to anyone. Many of the topics that he shares are common sense and are heard in different sales book, but what is different about this book is the way Fredrik delivers the message. It is easily digestible to anyone and as you're reading its like Fredrik is right next to you! He really tries to build a relationship with his readers and I truly feel like he wants to help. Also being familiar with his personality from the hit show Million Dollar Listing New York I can feel his personality through his writing!
One other thing I love about this book is he doesn't just state what the secrets are. He actually lay out steps on how we can USE those "secrets" right now! It's like a mini-guide book. For an example one of his secrets is to "Shadow A Winner." He then goes to state how we can actually get to that "winner"/person we want to shadow. Some other topics he goes about is to be you, know what fuels your fire, he stresses the importance of smiling, tricks on how to persuade people and find out what they're really thinking, how to confuse others and diffuse a situation, how to dress( He was on the front page of "The Sunday Style Section" in the NY Times,) one of my favorite sections is on how to use social media, and whole lot more!
I recommend this book to everyone and not only if you're looking to improve your sales, but are looking for inspiration or some guidances. You become who you surround yourself with and I also believe you become what you read. Fill your mind with positivity, power, inspiration, and the tools that can help you succeed and you will become more successful.
This book is great if you are naturally gifted at selling, and will help you to look inside yourself for ways to stand out from the crowd. I'd recommend other books *cough Serhant cough* for more practical advice. Still an enjoyable read.
I don't know how this came on my list but I do so real estate so maybe that was it. There was a couple hints in there that I thought were useful, but he did make some contradicting remarks on some things as well. Pretty entertaining.
I love Million Dollar Listing NY. This is more of a personal story with a few inspirational tidbits rather than a practical guide, but a good read nonetheless.
As hard as it is for me to sometimes get through nonfiction books, it's ones like these that remind me why I still try to read them. This book is all about inspiring you to be successful through hard work and being true to yourself. Fredrick is a perfect voice for this, as he is fearlessly himself on an international tv show and is the #1 real estate agent in NYC. He is inspirational, encouraging, and detailed in this book. Despite how overwhelmingly positive it is, Fredrick never comes off as fake- he just genuinely is that optimistic and hard working. I learned a lot about myself and the goals that I have for my future by reading this book, all while being entertained.
One of the best business book out there, although I'm not in real estate, but it applies to people who went into the world of entrepreneurs to what it takes to make the sell!
Highly recommended this books! Followed him on social media, became a fans of his work after reading this book, he's awesome!
The writing was easy to understand and alot of gems were in it! Buy it!
